I went to the one in UrbanSpace Vanderbilt, but that location is not listed for review. I ordered chicken noodle soup and I see where the«sip» part of the name comes from. I saw the price was $ 7(almost $ 8 with tax) so I assumed I’d get a decent amount. I was chagrined to see the SMALL cup they gave me. Next time it’s Hale & Hearty. I’m still starving.

Sips & Bites focuses on seasonal ingredients and consistent quality with a daily rotation of specialty toasts, salads, and warm soups. I tried the Poached Salmon Toast, which was served on a grilled toast with generous scoops of fresh, poached wild salmon salad with roasted shredded harvest vegetable slaw, and topped with a drizzle of fenugreek mint yogurt and capers. Because the menu changes on a daily basis depending on what’s fresh, you never know what’s going to get — but I can assure you that you can always count on delicious sips and bites!

We picked up lunch here before going to Brooklyn Brewery for beers and a tour. I got the Clearwater which is a tuna sandwich but it’s super flavorful. Lemon, capers and either craisins or raisins with Swiss. Absolutely delicious! I also purchased the trail mix cookie realness and snacked on that the whole day cuz it was HUGE. I’m visiting this weekend but I’d definitely come back!

I had a smaller event for work and needed a catering company but am so turned off by the large scale, generic and often bland caterers. So I did my own investigation, and being a self proclaimed foodie, I wanted someone who knew food, did interesting things with it, focused on quality and experience, and left people happy, satisfied and impressed. I found Sips & Bites through Unilocal and am so glad I did because they went above and beyond all expectations. First, Nicole the director of catering is a blast to work with and really helped me create a special menu and worked with me to make my weird requests gel together. There are so many options and the ordering process is easy as pie. The food was delivered on time and by one of the kitchen coordinators herself, who was extremely nice and just reiterated the personal care that Sips & Bites had shown from the start. So we had dates stuffed with goat cheese wrapped in bacon, mini chicken and waffles, prosciutto and melon, and Mexican chocolate brownies. It. All. Was. Divine. I can’t say one was the best as everything was widely appreciated and was quickly(and happily) being devoured. The prosciutto and melon make such a simple and perfectly paired summer bite, while bacon wrapped dates are always a good decision. I must saw that the Mexican chocolate brownies were absolutely insane — everyone had the same jaw dropping experience when eating them. So I highly recommend those :) Overall, I will 100% be using them again. I beyond recommend Sips & Bites for any occasion you have because the quality, care, dedication, and most importantly food is the best you could ask for!

I don’t know about the sips yet, but I like the bites so far. This little café offers up a small menu of sandwiches. They are a bit pricey, but quality is worth paying for, if The Capsule is any indication. This option comes out with roasted turkey, bacon jam, a healthy slathering of mayo, and Jarlsberg(a ballsy choice for a sandwich, I think). The turkey was a bit drier than the ideal, but definitely beats out your average sliced deli meat. I also enjoyed the heavily vinegared dressing atop the carrots and greens that accompanied the sandwich.

Nice stuff but for a pre prepared salad I think the price is much too highand expensive. And the salad was literally only cale! Only…

A hidden gem! So fresh, so filling! And they don’t skimp on the avocado. Took some friends for brunch, and while the 2 seater tables were quite dainty for 3 people, it was well worth it for the good quality and friendly service. The freshly baked treats are also tasty!

great food really nice rice bowls. the think harissa and vegetables go very well with the black rice however the fried egg on top could have been made a little bit better. the desserts all looked great and even had their own macarons.

Great little lunch spot in Williamsburg! The food is fresh and delicious. There’s limited seating and the tables are very small so not good for groups.

The Excelsior is a delicious sandwich! Reminds me of the sandwiches at Num Pang as it has picked carrots, cucumber, cilantro, mint(basically fancy banh mi). I purchased mine take away, topped it with sirarcha at home and it was perfect. Service was quick and efficient. I only waited a few minutes for my sandwich, granted there wasn’t really anyone else in there but it was quick enough for a fresh sandwich. The place has 8 or so small tables that would only really fit 2 people each. They also offer free wifi. I’ll definitely be back to try out more sandwiches!

Definitely a great place to grab a quick bite. The sandwiches are truly delicious. Legit. I’m lucky that I can get a damn good sandwich on gluten free bread.

Tiny café(seems to be more of a catering company) with absolutely delicious sandwiches. Don’t come with more than 2 people or expect a whole lot of options. Just get the grilled salmon sandwich and thank me later. It’s that good and pretty filling on it’s own. Beware that you’ll be paying $ 10-$ 15 for lunch.

This place is fantastic. I went for the 1st time to grab a quick lunch, trying to discover new places in the hood. I got the French Lentil Salad with chicken. The salad is massive and it’s reasonably priced($ 12) — which makes a big difference. The sandwiches on the menu look great as well, and I’m dying to go back and try it — and that breakfast sandwich looked great as well. This is going to be a new must-stop from now on. If you want a great lunch, go.

I came with my best friend after yoga. Initial thoughts were«what a cute little place!» We both received free samples of their breakfast sammie from the cashier. Eggs, avocado and black bean sauce. Delish. I ordered the Fairyland which is essentially bibimbap in sandwich form! GENIUS. I don’t know why I never thought of that. The combination of mushroom, cucumbers, a runny egg and gochujang was so freaking good. She had the Excelsior which she loved. Happy happy girls. Definitely coming back.

For my first visit, I asked the staff to recommend a sandwich. The cashier suggested the«Hemingway» cuban sandwich with ham and pulled pork. After a short wait, the sandwich was hot and ready. It was delicious, not too spicy, and huge!!! I could not finish it. (They also sell Mexican Coca-Cola in cute glass bottles, very 50’s)

I am impressed! It’s hard to find a good, decently priced, place to eat lunch in Williamsburg. My criteria for a perfect café is the following: good food, good drinks, wifi, places to sit with plug ins, and good customer service. Sips & Bites knocks all of these out of the water! As many other reviewers noted the sandwiches are really unique combinations. These are sandwiches you won’t find anyone where. On recommendation from reviews(and asking the guy behind the counter for his opinion) I got the Yellowstone. It was amazing. Now my biggest problem is that I want to try the others but I am so addicted to the Yellowstone I order that every time I go. /firstworldproblems Anyway, come check this place out. They’re very nice and friendly. The tables are a bit small but plenty of outlets and free wifi to get some work done(a MUST for me).
