Mr Steven Cruz is an outstanding professional, my wife and I came into the store with certain problems with our previous mattress and were disappointed and highly skeptical. However the knowledge and integrity of Mr Steven Cruz after discussing the issues gave us quick resolution and peace of mind, we thank him for his knowledge of the product he was selling and professionalism. I was shopping for mattress for my daughter and the costumer service I experienced by Joseph Fiorica (I hope I got his last name right) left me speechless; what a great professional, and helpful he was I was amazed. My self I am in costumer service industry but this guy its above the rest; i hoppe Speepy’s company they r aware what kind of asset they have; this guy was tireless, he would provide same costumer service to everyone, making sure everyone leave satisfied; he was the same with everyone
That day I didn’t buy the mattress and Joseph greatet us in the way out like we spend God knows how much money, and unfortunately not others, sometimes they hesitate to say goodbye, but not this guy

Stopped by the store to take a look at the mattresses and decide which one we liked. The salesman was nice enough to patiently show up the choices but when we asked he said shipping for $ 99 or we could pick up the mattress ourselves. We decided to hold off and left the store. When we returned home, we saw online shipping was $ 20 cheaper at $ 80. Additionally, there was a coupon code for free shipping which I used.
I understand about not knowing about the coupon code but to quote a higher shipping rate at the store as opposed to online makes no sense.
I recommend, visiting the store to check out the mattresses then ordering it online.

I ordered a tempur pedic mattress from Sleepy’s. After the mattress delivered to house I found out the top of the mattress was very dirty and about ten area the thread was come out. So I call my sale person immediately, and he said he will go take care of it, help me to exchange another mattress. So I wait for him to call me back. But after that call He never call me back. Then I go directly to the showroom where I make my purchase, and they told me my sale person was not working at Sleepy’s anymore. So they cannot do anything for me. And told me I have call customer service to solve the problem by myself. At the same day I call customer service and told them I need to exchange my mattress because the one I received was defective. And they told me I cannot exchange or return because I got a clearance item. But I told them when I make my purchase before I pay I asked my sale person what is the return and exchange policy. And he said I can exchange or return my mattress. Also at the whole process he never told me this is a clearance item. At my point, all sale person have to be make it clear to any customer, but my sale person lie to me, because of his fault, I have to pay for a defective mattress. I am so disappointed with Sleepy’s. I will still try to see how can I solve my problems with Sleepy’s. Hope one day Sleepy’s can understand now is not my fault, I have my right to request a exchange.
P. S. Sleepy’s customer service ask me to call tempur pedic directly to see what they can do for me. And the tempur pedic representative found out for me Sleepy’s was selling a return mattress to me. And she told me all retailers cannot reselling a return item to the customer. But after I call back to Sleepy’s and told them I already reported my case to tempur pedic and Sleepy’s still didn’t exchange my defective and return Mattress.

I’ve just returned from completing my purchase of a Stearns & Foster Queen mattress at Sleepy’s Bay Ridge on 86^th Street off of 5^th Avenue in Brooklyn. I had visited this location over Memorial Day weekend and had the great fortune of meeting their absolutely wonderful salesperson Allen. I told him that I was merely pre-​shopping at the time but he made me aware of the opportunity to leave a 10% deposit and return whenever I was ready to make the purchase and still qualify for the holiday sale price which was about 30% less. I originally chose a Carolina mattress but when I dropped by today decided to upgrade to a Stearns and Foster Plush which Allen gave me at the Memorial Day sale price even though it was now about 3 weeks later. He was a pleasure to work with; he knows his product line and allowed me to try many different mattresses without even the slightest bit of pushiness. I am extremely grateful for the excellent service he provided and will go out of my way to recommend both Allen and this particular store.

My wife and I have recently bought our second mattress from this Sleepy’s location.
We had bought a queen size mattress from Artie (RIP) a couple years ago, but decided that we wanted to upgrade to a King Size mattress and new bed to go along with it. So we returned to the Sleepy’s on 86^th Street here in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
Our salesperson, Eileen was a tremendous help in deciding which mattress to purchase and in the end we settled on the GS STEARNS King. This was an significant upgrade from our former mattress.
This GS STERNS mattress might just be one of the best purchases my wife and I will ever make. We awake every morning completely refreshed and after a week with our new mattress, I deliberately called Eileen at Sleepy’s again to express my gratitude on the work she did to make the final deal: mattress, box spring and new sleigh style wood bed a price that we could afford.
Outstanding service in the store, outstanding delivery people and overall I would recommend Sleepy’s on 86^th Street in Bay Ridge to anyone looking for a bed at any price point.

Though we were close to buying one of the more expensive mattresses in the store we left without anything because of the very pushy saleswoman. She barely gave us a moment to speak amongst ourselves — kept pushing financing (which we didn’t need), a mattress cover, sheets, pillows… She pushed us into one particular bed over and over — while reiterating that she wanted us to get the bed that we wanted but the was her favorite. When we decided to leave she looked very upset. A combo of sad and mad and looked at me almost pleading with us to stay.
