Just had Snap cater a party for 150 kids/adults — and they were a total hit! Especially with the vegetarians! Food was incredibly delish, and the crew was easy to work with. Would gladly, happily hire them again!

I tried one of their corn dogs at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar and loved it. The perfect ratio of breading to hot dog, all cooked perfectly and not overly dry or greasy like they can be. So good I had to come back for another one!

they have really interesting avocado fries! worth a try! Everything else is just okay, their truck is pretty popular so you’ll usually see a line of people waiting for their food. Service is a bit slow.

There are a few reasons why I love Snap: Their fried avocados and chicavocado dog are much more fun options for vegetarians than a regular veggie dog(though they do have those too). Their fries are nice and crispy the way I want my Belgian fries to be. Even though they source local ingredients, their prices are lower than many other food trucks. They reuse their cooking oil to fuel the truck — recycling at its best!

Had them at Livingsocial’s Beerfest and Food Truck festival in Brooklyn. The Chicago was pretty meh, but the fries were good. The lines got atrocious and they were super slow to get orders out.

At a Beerfest and Food Truck event today, Snap looked like the best option(also the longest wait) with their grassed burgers and avocado fries. The avocado fries were good but that was the only thing. After waitng an hour, they got the order wrong — after that disappointment, I took one bite of the burger andI threw the rest away. It was the worst burger I’ve ever had. It was burnt, dry, and nasty. Not worth the wait or the money. I guess there’s a reason i had never heard of this place till today. Not good.

Stood in line for almost an hour to get a decent chili dog and some really underseasoned avocado fries at the Grand Army Plaza food truck rally. The food is a solid 3 or 3−½, but not worth more than a 10 – 15 minute wait. I’m still trying to figure out why it takes them so long to make a hot dog…

The food here was tasty and well made. As well as quite inexpensive given the quality. I had a Chicago Dog with lots of fresh toppings. A Chicavacado dog(an avacado based Chicago Dog for vegetarians) and nice fried/breaded avocado fries. The folks were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the service was a little slow and on a hot summer day that’s kinda problematic.

Rude and incompetent, twice I was told«our grill is too hot», third time, we already called last call.

Tried this at Hester Street Fair. The Chicago dog was pretty good with all the toppings. And the bratwurst looked really good. But $ 5 for avocado fries?! There wasn’t even any added seasoning to the avocado wedges. And it’s too soft to hold. Not a very bright idea there, I have to say. Over all I think Asiadog is still better.

AVOCADOFRIES! A stroke of genius. Additionally, I’m excited to see that their menu is evolving and changing on a regular basis, while still keeping the stalwart regulars always available. Way to go guys! Hope to see you more places around the neighborhood soon!

Snap knows what they’re doing. The Chicago dog is a favorite and I’d go for that first. The specials have been great as well and it’s always interesting to see what they’ve got up their sleeve. The avocado fries are really, really tasty(if maybe a little expensive). I’m looking forward to trying the burger next time.

There’s a lot of creativity and thought going in to this food every week. They could totally get away with serving the same menu each week(’cause it’s pretty damn good), but instead they concoct a new featured dog inspired by some regional or international tradition. I’m more of a «Brooklyn Dog» man myself, but i’ve seen others enjoy all the crazy stuff on offer. also, HOLYCRAP the fries are good(and the portion is enormous… please share them with someone). Snap would be worth the trip for any one of the items on their menu… the fact that they have so many winners is seriously impressive.

Being not from Chicago, and more of a traditionalist when it comes to hot dog toppings, I normally trend toward onion, relish, ketchup, mustard, and the occasional bacon or avocado when I’m dressing up a dog. Those things we non-Chicagoans think of as «normal». Frankly, when I was told Chicago dogs do not involve ketchup, and are actually more or less covered in vegetables(pickled and otherwise), I almost backed out of the whole deal — who doesn’t put ketchup on a hot dog, CHICAGO? BUT. Because I am not a wus, and in the spirit of trying new things, I went for the Chicago dog — and it was totally worth it. I’m converted! I might still sneak some ketchup next time(as I do on everything, but please don’t let that sully my reputation) but it was a great treat, and totally fresh and new to a girl who’s eaten a whole lot of hot dogs in her day. I also did enjoy the avocado fries, which were also a totally foreign texture and eating experience for me. Very creative and a nice accompaniment to a hot dog if you ask me.

These dogs are tasty and chock full of delicious toppings. I’m gonna skip the Asiadog line and go straight to Snap next time. I DEFINITELY want to try the avocado fries next time.
