I had one of the best massages of my life here today. I went in unable to move my shoulder and neck — I woke up in such pain this morning. After an hour of intense myo-​fascial work, Pete had cured it! I cannot believe the difference.
Sunshine is clean, utilitarian, and no-​frills.
I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Sunshine Bodywork, (not to be confused with Sunshine Best Body Work on Park Pl.) is my go to massage place. The staff are all great, the treatment room are always spotless and tidy. They give great deep tissue massage and are great at honing in on the part of your body that needs the most attention, be it the tight neck or a sore hamstring. I won’t go anywhere else.

This is the best therapeutic massage I’ve ever had. I have been to my fair share of ‘no frills’ massage parlors but nothing comes close to this place. Easy to get an appointment, close to the subways, clean, cheap, refreshing… the list goes on. The massage itself was absolutely brilliant and definitely unique. Most of the other place places seem similar in one way or another but the person who worked on me was using strokes and motions that were very comforting and very different. I am extremely happy with their service and will be a regular/​frequent visitor!

This place is maybe «sub-​par». Tried it bc of the high reviews. Very disappointed.

Priced pretty well. This place is no frills but who needs frills when the product delivers.
She found the right spots worked the knots out in a very effective way. Not being a pro in receiving massages this was intensely amazing.
I have been having a lot lower back pain and she effectively worked my tight spots out and helped with alignment.
I asked for an extra 10 minutes for my shoulders and added some hot stones. To the mix. Very good price great service.

Amanda is an exceptional, professional massuse with attention to detail. I’m a regular at Sunshine Golden Stone (once a month for last 3 years) I always ask for Amanda, I’ve never been disappointed. Deep tissue? No problem, she’s small but strong!

I hurt the top of my back and could not move my head anymore. Went there based on the reviews for a 100 min massage and it was great! Felt way much better. The woman told me to come back the next day for another 15 – 20 min. I can now move completely. Great massage, great people and the prices are very reasonable!

I usually don’t review unless some place was extraordinary good or bad. This place is definitely the former. I get massages regularly at different spas all over the world.
This place reminds me of a place I visited in China. It’s definitely a hole in the wall, and not the least bit fancy, but it was clean enough-​not like the sterile medical-​like environment of American spas, but the sheets and room smelled clean.
Once I laid on the table and closed my eyes for the treatment, I was transported to another place. The therapist used a lot of pressure and even got on the table during some parts of the session to apply more pressure. I felt light headed and floated out of the place after the 1 hour session.
It’s really affordable at $ ⁵⁰⁄₁ hour, but I felt like a $ 20+ tip is called for because usually the massages at other spas are at least double the price and not even as good. I didn’t want to underpay for such an amazing session!

My bf has been wanting to get a massage due to his sciatica. So i turned to Unilocal and found this place. He wanted a real good massage – not spa massage where its just a place filled w pretty décor and decent masseuse. Decided to come here after reading all the positive reviews (although not many). We walked in without an appt and did have to wait as there were 2 other customers. But the wait was worth it!!! They set us up in a room together so it was like a couples massage. My bf had the tinier lady (not sure if shes the owner) and i had another older lady. We really enjoyed our massage. I especially loved the fact that they finished off with hot stones. Ive never had hot stone before and have always been nervous abt it but it felt so so great. I literally felt my spine tingle becos the massage was so good!!! We felt like jello after! My bf loved it so much he plans to go back regularly!
Btw ladies, they do massage ur whole head so expect to have crazy hair after lol they also massage ur face so. That make up will come off slightly! Next time im just goin without all that! I will be back more and definitely will make an appt!

I have a herniated disc that occasionally flares up. When it does, the pain is unbearable and i can barely move. This happened whilst I was on holiday in New York, on a Sunday. I couldn’t get into see any physiotherapists (I was also worried about the cost, not having health insurance), so thought I would try my luck here, based on the good Unilocal reviews.
And I am so glad I did! The lady (owner) was absolutely amazing. She treated me better than any physiotherapist has. I walked out without pain. Incredible!

Up visiting family, and after a long cold rainy weekend I needed a massage (years of surgery n chronic pain. so I Consider my self an expert on massages after 200+!) LOL
I called several places and this was only one that picked up. Easy to find, appt available @ any time. I go in, kindly greeted, and took back. Ill warn u this is a no frills not fancy place.
I forget her name but she was a very pettite woman n just went to town! I hvlave no idea how she could get so much force, technique, angles, and etc outta no where. Really surprised me! Possibly one of top 10 of 5 of all massages ever received!
Hot stones, Reflexology, deep tissue, Swedish, accupressure. she did it all.
Very professional too. but ill say that if u need a massage, cut to the chase and go here. I came in walking in dire pain, limping, and walked out straight up and pain free.
I live in 5 Hrs away and have no affiliation nor knowledge. but try her out and if u like her — help that place out n write a review! She literally got me back on my feet to enjoy rest of weekend!

I love Amanda!!! She knows how to get the really sore spots straightened out. Amazing how such a tiny person has such strong hands.

Went in to get my lower back worked on for an injury I got a couple of months ago. Angela, my masseuse, worked my lower back from every angle, including the supporting muscles in my legs and around my butt. She was able to find all of the problem spots and work through them. My lower back felt significantly better afterwards. I’ll definitely be going back.

Excellent massage. It’s a no frills place but the massage was wonderful, better than some spa’s I’ve paid triple the price. It was a full hour and included warming lotion, hot stones, hot towels, hip and arm rotation and a face massage! The ladies are also super nice. I can’t wait to go back!

I can’t believe this place has yet to be reviewed. Just returned from a massage I would have paid more for. Very professional and clean. I suggest everyone take advantage of the full hour massage.
