This is one of my regular spots. Service is fast. Food is well priced for the portions. I usually get something with the pinto beans and a chicken quesadilla. Everything comes out hot, fresh, and fast. The tortilla’s are freshly pressed overtime you order something. I wouldn’t order by the name of the items, instead order by the number listed next to the item on the menu board. Keeps things from getting messed.

Came here on a whim since I had a jury duty summons and had an hour lunch break. The food is definitely not authentic at all but honestly who cares, the food serves it’s purpose– to keep you from being hungry. The chili taco wasn’t appetizing, the meat was mushy and gross but the hard taco shell and salsa provided were pretty good. The chicken taco on a soft tortilla on the other hand was really good. The chicken had enough flavor and spice. For that I give this place 3 stars. I would probably come back for their chicken platter next time.

Basic tex mex with good prices. Nothing really exciting except for the quick service and extra salsa if you ask for it. Worth stopping in if you only have a few bucks in your pocket and a craving for tex mex.

Pros: I paid $ 3 for two heartily stuffed crunchy tacos. I was in and out the door in 5 minutes during the lunch rush. Cons: Those were some of the blandest tacos I have ever eaten. They threw in containers of some red sauce, which was more like watery ketchup than anything remotely«hot.» The tostada salad seemed to be one of the popular options among the people eating inside. The hand-written menu addition signs included random things like chicken nuggets and BBQ beef. If you want cheap, fast, «Mexican» food prepared by a helpful Asian staff, come here. Otherwise, look elsewhere for actual Tex Mes tastiness.

solid place to order lunch from. I would recommend ordering delivery as it is super fast. There is usually a long line there at lunch time so I would avoid coming in for food unless you ordered it by phone in advance. I have tried a couple different things and find it all to be very fresh. I currently order the L6 special, which comes with a soda or drink. Very decent sized portions and if I eat it for lunch late in the day, I will rarely even be hungry for dinner. Very filling.

Sometimes those grimy, rundown, hole-in-the-wall places serve the most delicious food. This is NOT one of those places. Super Taco’s food is as bad as the place looks. Super taco plus is a rundown place that serves«Mexican food» made by a Chinese staff. I ordered the nachos and a veggie burrito. The nachos were made of stale tortillas topped with canned guacamole and other dubious toppings. There was also a sticky yellow paste they call«cheese». The burrito is basically yellow rice and black beans between a tortilla. My burrito wasn’t even folded properly. I gave it a 2 stars rather than 1 because its cheap and really close to my apartment.

Pretty good food and very inexpensive. I often eat there for lunch or carry out for dinner. My favorites are the hot wings, burritos, taco and Mexican salads. I like that I can see my food being prepared. There are some tables and chairs if you want to sit and eat. It can be very crowded at lunch time, if you live or work in the area call your order in for delivery or pick up.

I don’t care if this taco joint is Asian-run. I don’t care if it’s Nazi-run.* Because the secret to eating here(and life in general) is to not get caught up in labels. This is NOT a place to come get Mexican food. This is not a place with any atmosphere to speak of. This is not a place where you should eat if authenticity is a priority. This is not a place to get excited about visiting. This is a place where you can pay $ 3.50 for a surprisingly large amount of decently flavorful chicken and jack cheese sloppily slapped between two tortillas and grilled. They aren’t winning any awards, but the quesadillas are a damn good deal. And I’m broke, so back off. ___________ *OK, that might not be true. I suppose I would boycott the Nazi taco shop for what is probably an identical shop across the street(Yummy Taco).

Oh no. OHNO. This place is my nightmare. I don’t know why I even bothered to *try* after I walked in and saw the menu, and the fact that Super Taco Plus is a Chinese«Tex-Mexican» joint. Are you bloody kidding me? This is my own fault. I did it to myself. I only get an hour for lunch, and I’d already spent fifteen minutes of it walking around looking for something edible. I usually bring my own lunch, but Friday, I forgot, and subjected myself to Super Taco Plus. If you think — nay, KNOW — that real tacos should be made out of home-made, delicate, double CORN tortillas, filled with tender, spiced meats or beans/peppers, and topped with cilantro and onion with a side of radish and cucumber, then steer clear of this disaster. Here you can purchase soggy, floppy store-bought flour tortilla«tacos» smeared in mushy, indecipherable something-something(I ordered black bean tacos), and topped with — horror upon horror — shredded orange(government?) cheese, and some other things I couldn’t identify, served at room temperature. My tacos sadly went directly into the trash can after one bite and six wasted dollars. I had a v8 and some Smartfood popcorn for lunch instead and cried a little. I can’t understand how anyone would think this is actually«food,» nevermind«good.» I say it’s neither. ps: Down the street a bit is Fast and Fresh Deli, which seems authentic as it is a Mexican market that sells tacos to go. While it’s too far away for me to get there/back on my lunch break to see for myseld, I will happily direct everyone there instead of any of the gross Chinese taco places downtown and wish I myself could go.

Horrible. Have credit/debit acceptance on door and then she tells you only $ 10.00 or more and you can use the ATM. Then a damp tortilla filled with mostly rice. Very rude service. One star because they serve Jarritos!

Not to be confused with Yummy Taco. This place has reasonable prices with good and quick food. I suggest the lunch special(it comes with a free drink). Nuff said.

The minute I walked in I was really confused as to whether or not this was a Mexican taco joint since all the people working there were Asian. Although I had my doubts I was starving and desperately needed something to eat. I ordered two grilled chicken soft tacos. It was a tortilla with a minimal amount of chicken, tomatoes, lettuce and cheddar cheese. I took a bite and couldn’t believe how bland it was. With a name like Super Taco Plus the least they could do is prepare a decent taco with real Mexican ingredients like queso fresco and not cheddar cheese. I will never be visiting this place again.

How does this place have good reviews? The most bland, cold burrito I’ve ever eaten before. I saw them pull chicken out of a little stainless cup that was sitting on the griddle. Probably there for hours. It was rubbery and had no flavor. What added insult to injury was that they couldnt even wrap the burritos so that they stayed together. It was like eating a giant messy soft taco. Food was cheap and the people were nice so I can’t hate on everything, but my girlfriend and I both felt crappy the rest of the night, probably due to the chicken. Banana Snapple was good though…

I’d forgotten about this place. (not really… I’m just cheap and I’ve been terribly infatuated with the Hero Shop and leftovers of my own cooking* as of late) But when super-metabolism of the Shea D. variety(those who know me well understand the significance of this) reared its ugly head about two hours before I planned on going to lunch, it was Super Taco Plus to the rescue! And I swear I didn’t actually plan out using the word«super» twice in once sentence. It just happened. I ordered 3 grilled chicken hard shell tacos this time around, and they were just as good as the burrito I had last time. No. Better. They were super. And when 8 número uno bills can buy me 3 hard shell tacos stuffed with amazing grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatos, and cheese, one can of soda, and tip on the same workday that I filed my second ACS report of the week(yeah, my job is *fun* and terribly uplifting sometimes…)? And delivered directly to my office within 30 minutes? Now that’s an awesome day. *It’s not narcissism if you’re a good cook. And if you like to try and save money.

At first i was skeptical at an asian run mexican restaurant… until i tried the food. With so many different deals to choose from, it’s very easy to get new things each time. The vegetables and beans are pretty fresh compared to other mexican restaurants i have been to. The chicken is consistently robust, and they make the tortillas right on the spot. Delivery is quite quick and service is polite. I’d honestly say this is the best spot to eat in downtown brooklyn if you have less than 6 dollars in your pocket. They do not do a great job with the carne asada and chicken wings, but any of their dishes with grilled chicken, and tex mex chili are quite good. When one takes into account it infinitely cleaner than the old Super Taco across the street and i don’t see why people don’t eat here more often.

After going to this place more often, I find that the 3.30 chicken quesidillas are SO bank, and the 15 somewhat crappy but serviceable chicken wings on Sunday evenings for what less than 5 bucks are SO bank. The only real problem here is that they don’t wrap their burritos very well, it just ends up like a huge taco, tastes good but a bit messy.

This restaurant appears to be a new incarnation of «Taco Plus». See my review on . That said, it is still a Chinese owned Mexican restaurant. My girlfriend is a Latina, so Chinese owned Mexican restaurants are like what a ball park frank is to a Bavarian. But still, I live in Brooklyn Heights, where good restaurants are few and far between. And we have NO Mexican restaurants, which is one of my favorite cuisines. I wanted SO badly to order from this place… I wasn’t looking for great; I was just looking for mediocre. For a taco… a taco… But each time, she scared me into not ordering. She kept talking about tacos that smelled like pork fried lo mein, and pointed to a «Mexican restaurant» menu that included items like Chicken Teriyaki(appropriately served with«Mexican rice»). Before we knew for SURE it was a Chinese Mexican place(all we had was a menu), we even called to place an order. After hearing a Chinese lady answer the phone, we quickly hung up. Last night, I wore the pants in the family. I put my foot down and we ordered from Super Taco Plus. The woman who answered the phone was Chinese. I placed the order. She was polite, efficient, and competent. I was feeling dangerous, so I didn’t even ask her to read the order back… I was curious to see if it would come back 100% correct. It did. Big check-plus in my book. The food was delivered by a Mexican dude. Very polite and amiable. I opened the bag and sniffed. I didn’t *think* it smelled like pork fried lo mein, but I wasn’t 100% sure. We started to eat and were … pleasantly surprised! In general, the food is very cheap, and comes in rather small portions. This is a huge huge plus for me. You can order a wide variety of items to really sample what the restaurant has to offer without a) going broke, b) feeling like your stomach is going to burst, and c) becoming super fat. You really can have a single taco or maybe even two if you want a snack before dinner. They’re really that small. Like«White Castle, can I take your order?». But perhaps more like«Welcome to Castillo de Blanco. Née Ho Ma. Have you eaten yet?» The food is also non-spicy, and that’s … OK. The hard tacos were small. Not a ton of filling. But the shells were fresh enough. The lettuce and tomato were not great produce. But they were good enough. The Mexican rice was nothing spectacular. There was a meager distribution of olives, and the color was more of a vague light yellowy orange instead of a deep rich orange-red color. But it was good enough. The soft tacos, like the hard, were smallish. They were flour(not corn) tortillas, which makes sense since corn tortillas are only really pliable when they’re warm. The quesadillas were a bit of a surprise. They were smaller in radius(I think they use the same tortillas as the soft tacos) and thicker. More of a snack. As everyone knows, a cylindrical volume varies with height as «z», but varies with radius as r2. I was dreading the guacamole. I’ve had disgusting guac before, and was expecting the same. It was actually pretty good. The salsa had a good flavor, but wasn’t the least spicy and was very non-descript. I think the salsa might have been filtered(ok, that was supposed to be funny). But seriously, it had no chunkiness. No bits of tomato or cilantro. It *tasted* like there was tomato and cilantro. But there were no chunks at all to make an interesting consistency. All in all, this is very good food FORWHATITIS. It’s a cheap taquera, in a poor neighborhood, that also serves Teriyaki. Whaddya want, Chef Sanchez? If you want really quick, really cheap, very edible Mexican food that well-approximates the word«good», then this might be your place. And I’m writing this review the next day. No GI surprises! Here’s what I’ve eaten(plus any comments that are merited): Hard Tacos: Tex-Mex Chili. Somewhat greasy, but it’s chili, so big surprise? Soft Tacos: Shrimp. I feel guilty saying that I loved this. Quesadillas: Jack cheese and guacamole. Surprisingly good. Enchiladas: Grilled white meat chicken. I was hoping for chicken chunks, but they’re strips. But still very good!
