While the food is good, the service is uniformly terrible. Whether you’re ordering in, getting delivery, or eating there orders frequently wrong. and take forever. A terribly run place.

This place is cute, small and comfy. A nice neighborhood spot. Mild guac and chips are very tasty. Their tacos are great… I enjoy the crispy shrimp ones. Service is quick and polite.

The food is decent, though inconsistent, as some others have written. The delivery can take a while. And what’s worse, Seamless and Eat24 have different prices on some food. They also have different options, so sometimes I order from one site rather than the other, depending on what I want. But that can be annoying when I get something each site lists, and have to pay an extra buck for it.
All that said, when the food is good, it’s good! Not like the other same-​old-​same-​old places. I’m from the Southwest, and this reminds me of Mexican food you’d find in Cali or Nevada. Big burritos, stuffed with rice and meat. Street tacos! And the enchiladas verde are a nice veggie alternative. One of my favs! Again, the food tastes different on different days, but I gamble on it, because it is a place I really want to like.

This is an awesome place if you’re looking for a brief pit stop to sit down and eat some Mexican food. You can never go wrong with their guacamole, although they do like to play around with the portions (they got smaller over time). The tacos are mediocre at best because of their tiny size and the meat being so bland. Their burritos are also pretty average. The chicken burrito in particular was disappointing. Save yourself even more disappointment by avoiding the spicy fries especially if you don’t immediately plan on eating them. Not only are the fries ever so slightly sprinkled with cayenne pepper, they’re also very soggy. Overall guacamole is the only safe bet here although everything else is meh.

Countless disappointments. I’ve ordered from them many times, but no more. Their delivery service is absolutely horrible. Even worse, however, is placing an order. They’re inconsiderate, always put me on hold, and minutes later when I finally do get to order it takes five minutes for them to record what I want. In case my time isn’t wasted enough, it takes well over an hour for my order to arrive; I can count on having to call about its whereabouts. I really wanted to like this place, but clearly they don’t care for my business.

This unassuming neighborhood Mexican restaurant has terrific food. I chose the chicken enchiladas mole and my spouse had shrimp tacos and black beans. The beans were cold at first, but they cheerfully heated them up. The chicken in my enchiladas was white meat, which I prefer. I’ll be coming here often!

I’m hooked on the Flautas de pollo! Also, the crispy shrimp tacos, the fajita norteñas, and pretty much everything I’ve tried from here so far has been well above average. The food is always fresh, consistent, and flavorful. This is my local goto spot for Mexican food. I highly recommend it and if you didn’t have a great experience here give it another shot and try something different while you’re at it.

I’m always that person scoffing at reviews, like oh please, you waited 15 min for your burger? But maybe it’s karma or just the fact I didn’t listen to the reviews (I thought I’d be immune since I’m 8 minutes biking distance), but sadly, I AM NOW A RECOVERING VICTIM OF TACOS EL CATRIN NIGHTMARE DELIVERY. sigh.
I called them after over an hour passed by and they said were just packing my food. What? I ordered 3 tacos, the chorizo burger and guac. No, just no.
Food Review — Meh.
Tacos: Meat was flavorful, but they are TINY. I’m a petite thang who can never finish a meal, and they were tiny for me. I’m talking barely over half the size of your cell phone. Even babies would be insulted by the size of these tacos. Not worth the $ 7.50 or the 90 min delivery wait.
Hamburguesa and soggy fries– Not for me. The bun was those type of buns you would get with your morning sandwich in a sketchy deli somewhere near Penn Station. You KNOW the type of cheap stale bun I’m talking about. Again, not worth $ 11.
Guac — The guac is very good and fresh. Maybe that’s what took so long. I actually used the guac as a burger topping to mask the taste of the bun. But still not worth $ 7 for the delivery portion.
Overall –
They really need to figure this out man. You can’t play around with people’s food. You just end up with an army of hangry customers… and that’s definitely not good for business. Won’t be eating here again.

Terrible service. After taking an hour and a half to deliver tacos a mile a way, I called only to be told there were still more orders to be filled before mine. Never ordering from here again.

They started out OK, but have gotten increasingly inconsistent. Soupy enchiladas, weirdly spicy guacamole (with a tiny bag of greasy tortilla chips), barely any meat in the tacos and burritos. Plus so overpriced for what they’re serving. This place went from a desperately needed takeout spot in the neighborhood to just another forgettable, unreliable, stupidly expensive mess. And good luck getting your order right.

This lil resto has me dreaming about the taco arabe. I have also tried their fish tacos, shrimp tacos which are also good but once again my go to Is the arabe.

This place is a hit or miss. It’s not consistent. My burrito was mostly stuffed with rice with a piece of meat here and there. A little overpriced for what you get.

But the last few deliveries. Soo slow.
Yesterday? One hour and 30 minutes pass and finally I call grubhub. (I avoid doing stuff like this) but SO glad I did. Apparently they filled my order and sent it out– but the delivery guy missed me or combined my order to someone else and came back empty handed to the restaurant– so they had no clue I didn’t get my order.
Like other reviews– I got two cans of coke. I thought they would be cute and leave a dessert or something with my order. Nope. Coke cans.

2 hours and 20 minutes wait (they forgot to prepare my grubhub order) and I get a can of coke as an extra. Thanks but no thanks. My order was stale chips and a burrito with holes in it so of course it fell completely apart. I understand that you guys get busy and s**t happens but come on. Don’t send me inedible food after you messed up.

Dont understand the good reviews here. SO overpriced for what you get. Plus, when we ordered delivery from here our order came without the chips that were supposed to be included with the shrimp avocado dip. When we called they said they were too busy to deliver the chips until they got another order near our apartment. When we said we didn’t want to wait for the chips as we were already eating and instead asked for a credit, they offered us a measly $ 3 credit. Bad customer service move, guys. Also, they charge over $ 10 for a burrito that doesnt even have guacamole?? I wondered why the burrito food descriptions were left blank on Seamless– must be because all they give you is beans and rice. No thanks! I’d rather eat Chipotle. Two thumbs down.

Ordered at 8:05p, told it would arrive between 8:55 — 9:05 (through grubhub). at 9:10 i called to inquire, they said their grill broke and they haven’t started it yet. they fixed it, but i was a few orders back in line, but it would arrive in 15 minutes. called grubhub and told them to cancel the tip i included. not calling me to update me on this is a breakdown in customer service.
at 9:30 when it still hadn’t arrived, i called and it still wasn’t ready. told them to cancel and the guy hung up on me. called grubhub again and had them cancel the order and refund me. they were decent and gave me $ 15 in credit.
they apparently never told the delivery person, or thought i wasn’t serious about cancelling because the delivery guy kept calling saying he was here. about 15 mins after i told them to cancel.
i would love to know what the food tastes like, but they lost me as a customer. in a city with an abundant amount of choices for food, service like this is unacceptable.

For a local spot in brooklyn this spot has made me crave mexican food every night.
Went in one day for some tacos and guac with friends walked out very satisfied. Later that same day I ordered a delivery because I could not get enough of those steak tacos and I even ended up getting enchiladas and was not dissapointed. The food had the same taste an quality ordering in and ordering to go. You must check this place out.

Guacamole. Is. Everything.
I’ve been here a couple of times and each time the food is consistently good. The shrimp tacos with the spicy chipolte sauce is yummy as well as the carnitas tacos.
Service is good and prices are reasonable. Will continue to stop by when I am in the area.

They had some really good stuff, very good tacos, their specials were the best, but my recommendation is that this is a delivery place not a eat in, they seem very focused on that side of the business, not a bad thing, just a word of advice. Wanting to try out more of the menu, I asked if they could give me a two taco order one chicken and one steak (I’ll pay for the steak) but they said no.
Still the food was good, not something that will knock your socks off but it was good, also the guacamole was made fresh, really fresh!
