The Bloomfield School

I took their «Stacking Rings» class and absolutely loved it! We learned how to create our own rings from wax to silver. Both Kerrie and Melissa were very helpful during the process. They also provided the entire class with a packet containing information on supplies needed, and where to buy, to get started in wax-​metal jewelry making. It is very detailed and invaluable. I am now setting up my own wax jewelry studio just from the one class I took! I recommend their guidance and teaching, they have a wealth of information to share; its only a matter of what you choose to do with it!

I took the Ring Making from Wax to Metal class and really enjoyed it! I learned a lot and ended up making a few really cool things!
Kerrie and Melissa really know their stuff and can answer any question you have with way more information than you thought you’d get in response. They also had good advice whenever I was at a crossroads in my design/​plan. They’re laid back and they make the class relaxing, which is just what I wanted.
The only thing I didn’t love was that since they’re not really teacher-​y, the beginning of the class is kind of just like ‘here’s some wax, you can carve it!’ which technically is how you start, but coming at it from a complete novice point of view, I was kind of like … do I just start now? what am I doing? what?
But overall, I would highly recommend the class! I’ve taken what I learned there and gotten a few tools of my own and am picking up some new pieces from the caster (that they recommended) tonight!
