2÷8÷162:30pm(Jean is the name of the server on the slip, but not sure if that was who was serving us.) The space is gorgeous. I had such high hopes. Food was eh. Service was awful. Just a small snapshot of my socially awkward server. My Diet Coke was so flat and did not have a single bubble in it. I nicely asked for him to check and re-pour. A simple Request that I could never image would spiral into this. I see him at the bar shooting soda water into my glass. He brings it back to the table and you can see the separation between the Diet Coke and the soda water. He says«try this» which I reply–«what changed?» And he said, «oh– I put some soda water from the gun. It should be fine now.» Menu prices did not match the final bill. $ 6 difference for one item as an example. When we asked the server and showed him the menu– instead of a sorry or explanation– he simply goes«really» and makes no move to adjust. Literally a stand off at the table. This entire visit was beyond comical. You. Guys. I feel bad. He was so socially awkward and that bled into every aspect of the visit. I would never come back and that totally isn’t my jam or something I say lightly. Oh. Ps. The small condiment cup of blue cheese for the wings was $ 1.00 extra.

Why is this place so expensive? I ordered the pulled pork which were with all the other sandwiches. Turns out they are sliders. That is fine. So for $ 14 you would expect four sliders right? No, just two and a bunch of fries to fill up the plate. I know Dumbo is expensive but I expect more. There burger is $ 16 too. No way I would ever pay that when Shake Shack is down the street and you can get a great burger there for about $ 6. It doesn’t get one star because they have lot of TVs for football and the staff is good.

Nice sports watching space, decent if small draft selection. Small and salty food menu. Need more share platters for a sports crowd. And ONE bathroom, I’m talking for THEWHOLEBAR. Still one of the few places for a game in the area

Delicious Mac and cheese. Not so delicious guacamole. It was creamy – in a bad way. Good place to watch a game. Spacious and they have lots of tvs. Discovered a great tasting beer: Blue point toasted lager. It’s a really good sports-watching beer. Yum.

The place is nice. But the lady bartender that worked there was so awful, I had to Unilocal it. Management should really check the quality of people that work there

After reading all the reviews about slow services, I went through multiple rounds of internal struggle on whether I should cook at home or go to a sports bar with mediocre reviews, I finally opted for the latter, because, I was being lazy on a Sunday afternoon. So, we decided to give it a try. The bar was spacious and I like the dark wood interior. We sat down at the bar, and to my surprise, we were promptly greeted by the bartenders. We got some beer, and ordered buffalo wings. Wings were solid, tender, juice, properly seasoned and covered in sauce. After we were done with first round of beer, however, the service seemed to slow down. I had to wave them down to order more drinks. I’m not saying I need to be checked on every 10min, but if my beer glass was empty for 10min, there were only 4 more people sitting at the bar and there were 3 bartenders, and one of them had been pacing around the bar and walked pass me at least 5 times, it was just ridiculous that he, or nobody had noticed the empty glasses. Maybe they just don’t care? Unfortunately this is the only sports bar in the neighborhood. I guess I will return when I only want one beer, and some yummy wings.

My fiancé and I chose to have our wedding reception in their event space, which is in the basement. When you think of basements, you probably imagine a dark, damp, space with crappy lighting, but it is anything BUT that at The Bridges. In addition to the space itself being fantastic – Patty(the event planner for The Bridges) and her entire staff treated us like rock stars! The chef met with us for a menu tasting – which was so appreciated and truly helped with the decision making process and everyone bent over backwards to provide us with anything we needed! At the very last minute, due to inclement weather, our ceremony was moved to The Bridges and the staff made what was a stressful transition much less painful. Patty went above and beyond to assist us, even making sure we ate dinner at our own wedding! She knows what she is doing and has a wealth of information and ideas to share. Friends and family commented and continue to comment on our wonderful choice of venue. It is such a beautiful space and I can’t recommend it or the staff enough. If more than 5 stars were available, I would choose it. Thank you to Patty, Chef Mike, Kris, all of the bartenders and wait staff, and anyone else I may have forgotten!

So much potential, yet utterly disappointed. I came in on a Sunday to watch some football and was happy to see a clean bar with plenty of tvs. There wasn’t a lot of people at first, and our bartender was very attentive. But then a large birthday party of 30+ people showed up. This is when the bartender, 2 waitresses and 2 barbacks fell behind, food got cold, and service suffered. IFYOUKNOWYOUHAVE A LARGEPARTYCOMING, PROPERLYSTAFFYOURESTABLISHMENT! I blame this on either poor management or a cheap as owner. Food was also disappointing. Everything was overpriced and either super sauced, or too bland. I had a few apps and an entrée. Avoid this place…

The waitress brought over a poorly poured beer that was 80% foam head and asked me «is this okay?» I guess this is understandable if it’s the last of an exotic craft beer. Nah it was a Stella. This place has a pretty good atmosphere but the inexperience of its wait staff make the place more awkward than fun in a neighborhood that really needs a fun, neighborhood bar. I have high hopes that it’ll improve but been back 3 times since and service is shaky and still inconsistent.

I visited last night with wife and friend. We had an amazing meal. We tried the Margarita wings which will be hitting the menu soon, these wings could be the best I have ever had. The chefs meatballs were also delicious and had great flavor. They have great beers on tap and the whole menu is very affordable. All in all it was a solid place with some great food. Also they seem to have a burlesque show on Saturday nights which was starting as we were leaving but very cool to see. Service was okay and could use some work.

It is a nice place, but my problem was with the service, and it is definitly not the fault of the cute waitress, but of the place. Here is the timing: 10 minutes to get the menu. 35 minutes to get the food. The sad part is that the place was full, with just two! waitress trying to serve everyone. The place is huge, it was one of the last sunny Sundays of in NYC. I still don’t know why they weren’t prepared. The food was good. I had nachos with cheese which were delicious, and a chicken wrap, little spicy, but very good. Too bad the experience was ruined by the slow service.

Now that Galapagos Art Space has fled Dumbo for Detroit of all places, I rarely come to the neighborhood. After a trip to Princeton, we decided to stop for dinner in Brooklyn on the way back. It seemed as though The Bridges was the only restaurant with any unique offerings on the menu. All of the other eateries in Dumbo had those stereotypical Brooklyn menus! While this place was for the most part a standard pub, it has ridiculously good crispy Brussels sprouts that would be worth making a separate trip. The service was quite friendly. Apparently, The Bridges has weekly burlesque shows in the lower level but it smells like mildew there. I would be interested in seeing them but the stench needs to be dealt with.

Seriously, run do not walk to this restaurant which under a new chef has some seriously great eats on the menu — including some unexpected gems. The Bridges Salad is simple but outstanding, the steak sandwich is perfectly cooked and flavors balanced every time, and the shrimp and grits(which I am not a fan of usually) is INCREDIBLE. Plus — they do brunch! Who knew! Drinks are iffy so stay with beer, wine or non-alcoholic and be prepared for the servers to be a little inattentive and slow. But the food man, the food is SO worth the wait.

Really solid spot! I’m not sure why they got so many poor reviews on service, because our experience was wonderful! We came with a group of 8 and were well taken care of by our waitress. Ordered tacos for the app, but they actually came out after they delivered our meal. They could have used some spice and the cheese was nacho cheese for sure, but they were still scarfed down. For the mains, the Fish Tacos were probably the highlight, but everyone seemed to be satisfied with everything. Overall this seems like a solid neighborhood spot. It has lots of space inside and a room full of pool tables — would be a great hangout spot.

So disappointed. Used to eat here all the time because it was reliable and they had great rosemary shallot fries, a good burger and decent salads. The staff used to be really nice, both those in the restaurant and the people who delivered the food. Not sure what happened. Last night we ordered a burger, fries, calamari and a salad to be delivered 4 blocks away and after 1 hour and 10 minutes of waiting, we called to find that they«didn’t have our right address or our phone number» after writing both down and charging our credit card. «But they write down the phone number and address. What happened?» «Well I don’t know anything about *that*,» the person on the phone said, irritably. No apology, no responsibility taken on behalf of her colleagues, no offer for a refund or even to reheat our food, which had been cold for at least 45 minutes. The delivery guy looked shell shocked like he’d just stepped out of a mad house and was apologetic, which I appreciated, so we didn’t demand a refund. The food arrived cold, the fries are mediocre and have no rosemary or shallots anymore, and the salad had a really weird sprinkling of rice on it — too much to be purely accidental but not even close to enough to constitute a salad ingredient, which rice isn’t anyway. The calamari probably would have been good if they hadn’t been cold. My microwave is broken, which is why I ordered food, and I was too tired to heat them on a stove. It’s like the entire staff left for a week and someone else just walked in and tried to wing it.

If you’ve read all the other reviews you’ll realize that the food here is decent but their bad reviews are mostly about their wait staff. So to start off with the food we shared the buffalo chicken wings, deviled eggs, burger and initially the chicken sandwich but ended up switching it with the chicken burrito. The buffalo chicken wing sauce is really good, tangy and spicy. The deviled eggs were ok, pretty basic and the yolk mixture was a little lumpy. Good but nothing special. The burger was actually really good. It was tasty and the fries were super crispy. The chicken sandwich is misleading, its actually a chicken salad sandwich and it has nuts in it. The menu does not say nuts on the and my husband is allergic so we had to send it back. To replace it we ordered the chicken burrito which was actually pretty good, mostly because of the buffalo sauce. The staff was prompt to return it and replace it with something else but we were still charged for the meal. Not a big deal but a little bit unexpected considering the menu was incorrect or else we would not have ordered it. Now the staff, I appreciate their quickness to replace the order with something new but otherwise the service was just super slow and inattentive. When we finished our initial beers we had to seek out the staff to get new ones and put in our entrée orders. I believe we were only checked up on once and that was after the nut debacle. We finished our meal and had to flag down the waitress even though it was an empty bar and we were the only people sitting there. Overall I really want to like this place because its the only sports bar in Dumbo and they have a good vibe. The music is great and they have a nice set up to watch the game but the staff is just poorly managed and unfortunately that is really difficult to get past. Buen Provecho.

we were seated right away at 330pm on a Sunday, there were only 3 other tables and maybe 4 patrons at the bar. surprisingly the place was not busy at all. The server took our order: Cider beer, Sprite, Eggs Benedict, hash, tacos, and French fries. Everything came out 45 minutes later. we still had no utensils. Cider beer tastes like a jolly rancher. The sprite was good. The eggs Benedict were hard boiled eggs. The tacos were Wraps and tasted like salt. The hash tasted like a bag of salt. the fries were a bit soggy. One star for the sprite. will not return.

Menu needs a complete overhaul, among other things. Our server disappeared numerous times despite the place being empty, never brought us water, and acted like she hated her life. The food is way overpriced and, truthfully, a joke. I kid you not — their«Lobster Mac & Cheese» for $ 10 is a saucer-sized worth of boxed Kraft mac and cheese with a couple lumps of lobster, which could have very well been imitation. Unfortunately, this seems to be the only bar where Sports can be watched in DUMBO. The crowds of tourists are the only business that are keeping this place alive.

We first went in as a group of 4 and were seated right away at the high table with the high bar stools by the window. Our other 2 friends arrived shortly after. The overall ambiance of the place is nice, somewhat dimly lit and cozy looking. We just ordered water all around for the time being while we settled in and took a look at the menu. There were a good variety of items on the menu and we all took a bit to decide what we were going to order(and we were also chatting here and there). Our waiter was pretty friendly and witty but was kind of disappointed no one wanted drinks. Anyways, on to the food. One friend ordered the pulled pork tacos and mentioned she had better. Another ordered the Mediterranean salad and noticed it was missing the nuts. Another ordered the steak fries and the steak was so thick and chewy. Another ordered the Bridges burger and liked it. My boyfriend and I shared 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. We ordered the roast chicken tacos(which was pretty good), the mushroom truffle oil pizza(which was also pretty good), the Bridges burger for my bf and the steak sandwich for me(both comes with either Rosemary fries or a side salad). My bf said the burger was good and I thought my steak sandwich was good too. It has watercress in it which gives is a bitter after-taste, just an FYI. But the rosemary fries were so freakin’ good, it comes with some pieces of crispy, roasted onions which were so good. Couldn’t complain about the fries. Also the price point was pretty good. I would have give this place 4 stars but our waiter forgot to give back my friend’s credit/debit card or even bring back the receipt for her to sign. We would’ve left without it if someone didn’t ask my friend if she got her card back. Not like the place was packed and bustlin’ and the employees didn’t look all that busy at the moment. So I couldn’t dismiss it unfortunately. Overall: I would go back because the food was good but I hope they don’t make this mistake again. Especially when it’s not that busy. Hopefully, the next time I come back, I can bump it up to 4 stars.
