I lived there for few weeks and I just left. The main reason was that the prices are expensive. And the quality of the service in the building does not match with the prices. Most of the boutiques are looking glamorous but inside you can find mainly goods from China and India. Some of them you can order wit 50% less from any online shop. Yes, you can find some handcrafted goods, but this not changes the whole picture, If you into sports — this is your place for sure. There is a sport center you can practice in. The neighbors were not noisy. Quiet place at all. The building is well maintained the apartments — cozy. I am talking about the one I rented. The others — do not know.

Utter garbage. Lived there for years and here are the 2 most salient points to consider before thinking about an apartment there: 1) Good luck getting anything fixed — the super is a real gem. Runs the garage downstairs. Had to sue him for damaging my car 3x within 6 months. Have never had to sue anyone before… not a pleasant experience, but I ultimately got the money from him. 2) Haven’t gotten my security deposit back from the truly stellar new management company that took the place over — KW Property Management. Despite written multiple email promises to return it within ’30−60 days,’ that timeframe has now passed– I imagine I’ll be enjoying the pleasure of their company several months from now when we discuss these pleasantries in front of a judge(or judge-like-individual). The gift that keeps on giving!!!

Simply mediocre place to live or visit. Lofts, yes. «Luxury» lofts, not by a long, long, long shot. The only effort the owners put in to this building is focused solely on their retail business ventures; Body By Brooklyn day Spa and the pet project of their two sons, Fresh Fanatic. They simply don’t care about the residential aspect of this building or its tenants and they’ve made sure that their in-house management arm, «Housing Network Management», is also stocked with inept, uneducated and uncaring employees. No matter what the problem; be it a leak, broken fixture, filthy walls, mice or insects, the management will be sure to let you know it’s somehow your fault and never theirs. And, they’ll do so in the most passive aggressive manner . After a string of burglaries — most of which stemmed from easy access to lower story apartments as a result of construction scaffolding for which the building had no proper permits– a group of residents sought to get together and hold weekly safety meetings in the lobby. The management promptly took down the resident-generated meeting notices and also informed residents that no such meetings would be allowed. Not surprising, because the management treats the entire building and the residents like it’s a college dorm. At least once a week they’ll post a flier in the elevators and common spaces addressing a specific person’s concern with a neighbor(usually about smoking in the halls or trash in the common areas) rather than simply acting to mediate the problem directly and get it corrected. It’s a down right bizarre place to be. On a more personal note… a good friend of mine(whose apartment leaked for 9 months with absolutely no response or useful action from the the owners) finally gave up and moved out with the aide of her attorney. Toward the end, her space was simply unlivable and, as a result of all the moisture, also full of black mold. Months after she initially raised the issue, a heavy rain storm ruined her TV and basically her entire living room. The management’s response to her was: «that’s what renter’s insurance is for.» If you’re hoping to smell your neighbors’ trash sitting in the hall and interested in daily dealings with a negligent and inconsiderate team of management«professionals» all whist paying higher rent than a comparable place in the neighborhood– this is the building for you!
