The Learning Wheel

Great store. They have a various assortment of teaching and education supplies. You don’t necessarily have to be a teacher to find this store useful; they have a lot of the popular Barron’s NYS Regents test prep books, among other things.
The staff is OK, but they could definitely be a bit nicer. The store hours are also inconvenient, so you should definitely plan out your purchases.
The stuff there is really overpriced. I purchased a test prep book for $ 27, and then I realized I could have purchased it online straight from the manufacturer for $ 20. They make their own bar codes and prices.
But overall, the store is small and nice. The products are organized fairly easy to find.
By the way, they’re closing at the end of September 2010, so right now, everything is 50% off!

The Learning Wheel is the go to establishment for all school supplies of Elementary and Junior High School teachers around the Sheepshead Bay area. The business has been in operations since I can remember since when I was in the second grade!
The store is somewhat cluttered, but that’s a compliment to their array of products available for purchase. All of the products are neatly displayed and are segmented by both grades and subjects.

Back when I was in the fifth grade, The Learning Wheel was the only place that supplied the science presentation board that I needed in order to display my science project. Granted, The Learning Wheel charged $ 7.00 (when the school charged $ 4.00), I was still able to obtain this one piece of important presentation material when no one else had it in stock.
Thanks Learning Wheel for helping me past the fifth grade! If it weren’t for you, I would’ve been left back, amounted to nothing, and been working a dead end job making $ 6.50 an hour! You guys are the best!!!
