The Vitamin Shoppe

Love this place this year I will have 2200 points as the young lady pointed out to me.
I have shopped all sorts of vitamin shoppes and I must say this one is fantastic. and so are the others .But this staff is fun and very knowledge,
especially the Manager Todd.

Typical downtown Brooklyn attitude, it pains the staff there to answer questions. Why bother going there when you can easily order online or better go somewhere else?, they are working themselves out of a job

The guy working there was clearly not interested in helping anyone. I looked around for empty capsules for a while until I asked him. He vaguely pointed in some direction and mumbled about them being «over there». It took me a few times to understand that «over there» was up by the register, but I got up there thinking he was with me to show me and he was still in the back of the store. I looked around a few minutes and found them on my own — finally!- and they were gelatin (note: gelatin is not a healthy item, it is made of animal bones and should not be marketed as something healthy). I walked back to the guy and asked if that’s all they carried and he mumbled that it is. This guy could not have been sober! He reminded me of my friends years ago who were on downers or LSD. I find this store odd in general, it’s more like fake supplements for body builders and it’s marketed as healthy but it’s far from being truly healthy. I didn’t buy anything and I’ll never go in there again. I get my nutrition from the food I eat!

Man, it’s so good to look at supplements and see discounts. i never took advantage of the vitamin shoppe stores until now.
Also, fuck walking to the GNC like 5 blocks away, I gotta get my vits fast when I get out of the subway hahah.
And wonderful customer service! The guys there are sweet and adorkable and are here to help. :)

I’ve got to say that every time I come in here the staff is always very helpful and courteous. Nice selection, they always have the shakes that I use here. Never a bad experience here at all. The manager is kinda cute too!

I go there once in a month, there prices are really good, if you are a member you get 20% coupon in mail. lot of variety, you name it, they got it, this place is very clean and very well organised, staff is very knowlegable and there are always there to help you, if you have any question… i love ths place.

As part of my ongoing quest to become the Strongest Man in the World (so sick of being #2), I come in here more than you might think from looking at me (my being of the body type that would be more appropriate for say, Twenty-​Sided-​Die Shoppe, or uh… Math…Store). The prices here are actually pretty good, reasonably competitive with Amazon, even, and the store is clean, well-​organized, and offers a pretty wide selection.
But the thing that most leaves an impression is how I DON’T feel too self-​conscious or out of place here, as, after all, a 145-​pound guy buying a 10-​pound sack of protein powder (bargain!). For some reason, people who work at stores like Vitamin Shoppe are usually pretty friendly and helpful – even in Brooklyn, miraculously; it’s like they never received the memo about everyone who works in retail needing to hate every second of their job and never stop letting customers know it. (Or I guess anyone who works at a store like this must be at least moderately into fitness, and maybe there’s some sort of mysterious connection between one’s general mood and looking/​feeling great all the time.) Even the huge Frankensteinian employee who is so jacked he can barely move his upper body is real nice and not patronizing as he rings up my overly optimistic supplements purchase while towering over me in every possible literal/​metaphorical way, and that dude could easily snap me in half and drop me unnoticed into his daily morning glass of six raw egg yolks. It’s decent people like these whose eventual comparative puniness I will NOT laugh at after I do become the Strongest Man in the World (look out, uh, Mark Henry), out of appreciation for their past courtesy. honestly with a free gold card wannabe thats free as opossed to the GNC card that costs money & is only usually effective the first 7 days of a month… this palce almost always is more cost effective. this location specifically is the hugest thing ive ever seen PLUS i really like the treatment from this particular staff than by far any other place

In an attempt to finally start taking daily vitamins, I did some research and wandered over to the Vitamin Shoppe. When I saw this chain open up a few years ago, I wondered if such a large store was really necessary. Turns out, it is! Plus, they have a lot more than vitamins. Toiletries, candles, drinks, yoga props, etc… Pretty cool.
I went in with a list and no idea where to find anything. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable! They made it very easy to shop and decide which products to buy.
