I’ve been bringing my car here for the past 2 ½ years. They’ve done everything from oil changes to repairs to maintenance.
I just got my car back the other day from a full detail. I cannot tell you how disgusting it was before I brought it to them but when I got it back, it was like a new car! I have no idea how they managed to get the dog hair out that was engrained in the fabric but they did it!!!
Paul, Gerry and the crew are super nice and knowledgeable. It’s a no bs zone. They really care about the cars and do great work.
I highly recommend them!!!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! denied me of doing photo inspection TWICE and the second time was right after i called to make sure they would do it for me. Staff are useless and they don’t pay attention to you. Both times i went they were too busy on their phones to even take notice until you say something. If it wasn’t for my insurance company telling me to come here to do the photo inspection i would have never came and i will never come again in the future. Just Terrible.

Went in for a NYS inspection and tire rotation — failed because of tires.
I mean… if you knew my tires were dry rotting in the first place and I needed 4 new tires. Why the hell did you even rotate my tires?
A professional would have let me know that my tires were no good and simply not rotated my tires. Shady business.

Just paid 200+ for an inspection and a tire change. Total rip off. First he tried to tell me I needed 2 tires, then he says one, that the tires I need are «special» tires. If I didn’t need to get this inspection done today, I would have left. Very arrogant, talks to you like you’re an idiot that doesn’t understand him. This was a theft.

Exceptionally friendly and down to earth staff. Very understanding and the shop’s prices are just fine too. Opposite of heimish, as open on Sat, but friendly and even offer chometz buster cleaning services!

Surly and rude. Not worth the aggravation There are so many other shops within a few block radius that have better bed side manners.

These guys really saved me. My car was serviced by Alex repair farther down McDonald avenue and he charged me for parts never installed and tons of aftermarket parts that didn’t work well. Tommy saved me by changing only the parts that were needed and my car although 15 years old runs like new. I will never bring my car any where else.

When ever I go to Tommy’s, I never leave feeling satisfied. For body work, twice I was not satisfied. I went there for an inspection today and I was told I needed a new air conditioner cabinet filter. I showed it to Hyundai, and they said that was normal wear after a month’s time. In addition, I only wanted an inspection and thee was pressure to have my car serviced there. Then I received a little lecture about dedicated mechanics. Well, I have been to other places and have felt more satisfied.

Good car wash, but.
1. Good car wash. Don’t bring your car for anything else here.
2. NYS inspection: just get your car to pass, and leave, and don’t listen for their maintenance advice
2. What these people do is borderline criminal. If you bring your car in for inspection, they will state that you are passing, and CASUALLY mention something like your rear brakes, belts, spark plugs will need to be replaced very soon.
The reason I caught this is that I had just replaced my rear brakes on my car. 2 weeks later, I was told that within this month I needed to replace my brake pads again because they are almost worn out. I went back to the first place where I got the work done with questions. They showed me the brakes, and they were brand-​new!
It finally clicked, when I remembered that I got NYS inspection from the same exact place with my old car 7 years earlier, and they told me that my belts are worn to almost nothing, and it’s a miracle that I haven’t lost control of my car yet.
I asked local residents around, and heard or experienced similar stories. I didn’t call the cops, but could have easily. It’s a miracle they are still in business.

i called them yesterday to see how much it would be for a tow and also alternator work
65.00 on the tow, even though i only live a 3 minutes drive and 0.90 miles away, and 100 for labor, 200 for the part for my maxima
also, their official site is very misleading! not good for customers! the site states they are open on sundays but the guy over the phone told us that was just for their car wash center, okay then why would you put those hours on your ”auto repair” tab??? remove it!
i also heard not so good things about tommy himself so i am instead going to another shop that one of my family members recommended

I went to Tommy’s service center with check engine light on because I had my battery changed there in the past. I came to the receptionist and met this guy P**l, very nice guy, greets me and I told him I am here because I wanted to know why my engine light is on. He told the servicemen to give me a very general and «light» diagnostic test. I asked him was it for free, he said yes, because he believes I will be a «potential customer». After the test, code reads «engine misfire» and servicemen told me I have to do a complete tune-​up of my car costing about $ 300-​$ 400. P**l comes up to me and ask me if I wanted to get it fix today, so I said no thanks (I wanted to go to other mechanics and see if I can get it fixed cheaper). Few weeks later, I received a call from P**l at Tommys asking how my car is doing, I told him I already had the problem fixed, and he started cursing and yelling at me over the phone saying how I tricked him to get a free diagnostic. I was totally in shocked, never expected he would call back, cursing and yelling at me for not getting the job done at their place. Horrible experience =(

We were in the nabe and in dire need of gas and some cooling agent, as our 74 Camaro had overheated on the road. The servicemen came out and helped us, and even gave the Camaro a good windshield swipe that took all the dust from the road. Gas was cheap (around $ 1.89) and the we even saw Tommy on the porch of the gas station drinking a beer. He waved and we left. Five stars.

had 2 cars repaired there and always go there. the prices are a little high for simple things like oil changes but they have great service and is one of the few places that still use honesty except for the receptionist she is a shmuck. but deal with the mechanics and everything should be fine. repair time is a little long. they could hold your car all day for an oil change but it is worth it
