If you are looking to get your haircut somewhere in Bensonhurst, look no further. You walk in and there are usually two Italian barbers, a young guy and an older one, who make you feel comfortable, like you are in an old school Italian barbershop. Oh, and they cut hair nice too. Ever since I have been coming to these guys, people actually take notice and tell me «nice haircut» throughout my day. One of the guys there even noticed I tried to cut a portion of the side of my hair myself. This is because it always outgrows the rest of my hair and it makes the side look weird. Instead of going to the barber just to get that cut, I figured I’d do it myself. The guy was nice enough to let me know that I can come in whenever and he would do it for free! I’m glad I finally found a barber I can go to consistently instead of giving a bunch of unknown places a chance.

This used to be a GREAT place for MANY years when SANTO was still alive. Sadly, he passed away. The guy who still works there is a wacko and they have a new owner who is Russian. Everything must come to an end SANTO gave the GREATEST cut but he’s gone and the place has been sold. I tried the new owner, and the other guy who was also there for years, but they both suck.

The charms of the old school Italian barber were once commonplace in New York, but with changing demographics and tastes, this is becoming a sad relic of the past. With the changing ethnic composition of 18th Avenue, which was once the center of Italian American life, Two Brothers is a most welcome link to the Italian past, and offers the finest quality, affordable haircuts available anywhere. These barbers are true artisans and masters of their craft who take pride in the details of their work. They offer quick, friendly, and masterful service, and are also incredibly sensitive to Orthodox Jews and highly knowledgeable of the Jewish legal requirements for side burn length and width. I cannot recommend this place enough, and look forward to returning soon.

I have been getting my haircuts from this place for over 20 years. The staff are very friendly and treat everyone like family. They have an old school mentality so i doubt they can cut hair based on the new crazy hair styles we have today. However, if you want a good clean cut barber and a great place with normal looking hair styles, This is where you want to go.

I must admit, I was a bit intimidated by all the Italian guys around because I had a bad experience with an Italian establishment before(that other establishment told me to go away because of my ethnicity). However, these guys were nothing but nice and pleasant. They were very careful to ask me throughout the haircut what I wanted and if it was ok so far. They took the time to give me a shave and stressed they wanted me to be satisfied before I left. I must admit that my hair cut wasn’t phenomenal but wasn’t awful. I think it’s because they aren’t used to the hair of my ethnicity(hint, I’m not white). It’s silly but it does make a difference in how it comes together based on how you cut it. I don’t blame them though because I always face this problems. I must commend them on how nice they were and how great of a price it is(13 bucks for a cut is great nowadays!). No complaints. I hope more people visit them so they stay in business!
