They tend to overbook themselves. Every time I come with appointment, there’s always a line of people in front of you. Due to their greed customer service is non-​existent and the wait is terrible. I was never taken on time. They’re very inconsiderate about their clients’ schedules. But I must admit, my hair was always treated well. I had no problems with haircuts, blowouts and coloring. Most of their stylists are pleasant and friendly. I encountered rude treatment only by one guy there, but he doesn’t work there anymore. However, because their prices are not cheap, they must provide the clients with the experience they deserve.

I wouldn’t trust any other salon with my hair. All the stylist’s are extremely knowledgable and skilled. I’ve had a hot scissor hair cut done with Tanya, she was great. This past summer, I had Keratin straightening done with Kirill. The results were awesome and I intend on doing it again. Most recently I colored my hair for the first time, also with Kirill. I didn’t want a huge change so he did balayage for me. I loved the results, it was exactly what I pictured it to be. I’m really glad I became a client here, and would definitely recommend to anyone in search of a new salon!

I really wanted to enjoy this… I’ve been seeing the same stylist in NYC for years, but the location wasn’t convenient anymore and I was recommended this great salon close to home. I came in asking for a darker, more Fall/​Winter look, than my currently blonde ombré on my light brown hair that I had done for the summer and had gotten lighter with the sun. Was hoping for more of a richer brown with dimension and balayage and came prepared with photos. Stylist appeared to understand me, and at first it didn’t look too bad although I was immediately frightened by how light my ends were. The next day, I straightened my hair and realized how much lighter my hair actually was. I had gone further from brown and sultry and into super light and blonde, especially in the front. Although it doesn’t look terrible, it’s the opposite of what I asked for. The cut also seems a bit choppy, and wasn’t as flowing and natural as my previous cuts. Very disappointed that a high quality salon would not be able to deliver. Maybe I am overreacting, but I would be concerned to trust them with my hair again.

A big thank you to U-​Mode, specifically Veronika for making my hair look amazing for my wedding day. It stayed all night and I was getting many compliments through out the day. Veronika is very responsible and was very prompt to get the hotel where I was getting ready. There was no delay and she was very calm and attentive to me and my bridesmaids. I would recommend U-​Mode and Veronika for any special occasions!

I have been here a few times and the service has always been amazing. Especially when I had my wedding services done here. The salon itself has a cute lofty feel to it and always has upbeat music on. It’s a one stop beauty shop. You can do nails, hair, makeup, wax, laser hair removal, etc.
The staff is exceptional. Olya did wonderful job on my makeup. She really listened to what I wanted. Although she had to leave for vacation that same day, tatiana went out of her way to make it that day and did a spectacular job on my hair. They made me feel like a million bucks. Lara and the rest of the staff did a beautiful job in my bridal party. The staff was all very friendly and attentive. For any brides, don’t be cheap go in for a trial beforehand, you don’t want any surprises the day of, plus their prices for trials are very reasonable and well worth it. I give this place two thumbs up, and always recommend it.
Just wanted to add… Tatiana did it again she wowed me with her work, gave me an amazing balyage. Couldn’t be happier :)

Update: I have never had someone so willing to fix my hair. The colorist came in on her day off. She fixed my hair to my liking and was very apologetic. Now that is service. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love my hair again.
Terrible– I asked to be colored a warm chocolate color and no red. What did I get half a head of warm chocolate and the bottom black/​red. Ladies stay away.

As a former hairstylist, I am VERY picky about my haircuts because I know what should and should not be done. I went into UMODE about 2 months ago based on many recommendations for the hot scissor cut because I had many split ends. My stylist was Anna, and she was absolutely wonderful. We had a lengthy consultation where she listened to all my concerns and understood my situation as to why I was there and not able to do hair anymore. She worked with me and my suggestions and I listened to her and her suggestions. The wonderful communication and understanding on her end left me with one of the BEST haircuts I have ever received in my life. I have found my new hairstylist and will be going to see Anna regularly from now on.

My favorite salon! The best experience all the time. I do my manicure and pedicure with Inna. The best! I did highlight with Zhenya. The best! I did make up on my birthday with Olya. The best! I did blow dry with Oxana. The best. I did hair cut with Anna. The best! However, one time i tried Delacqua Salon and it was horrible. U-​MODE and only U-​MODE forever!!! I love you guys.

One of the most stylish place in Brooklyn. Great atmosphere, outstanding service. Highly recommended.

Hands down favorite salon! Zhenya is the best! Had a balayage, cut and style and she did an amazing job, now I go to her for all my hair needs. Olya did my make up and she’s so talented! Everyone is really nice and professional and really knows what their doing! Must try this place!

I would love to share my experience in details with you…
The first time i went to Tanya i brought a few pictures of the exact color that i wanted, but she told me that its impossible for me to get that color, and she just simply bleached my hair.
After Exactly a week it looked like a complete disaster, the hair turned YELLOW ! when i first came i asked her to specifically not make my hair yellow, i even showed a picture of what i didn’t want my hair to look like (dark roots and yellow ends), and sadly thats exactly how my hair looked after a week. So i politely contacted her and made a second appointment to fix my hair. She did the same exact thing and bleached my hair again, after that second bleach my hair became very damaged .
If she didn’t know how to get the color i wanted why couldn’t she just recommend me another option? Because honestly my husband could of probably did a better job for free!!!

Love this place. I came here many times to different stylists and every time left with beautiful hair. My absolute favorite one is Lena. She is a true professional artist. My hair was colored darker than what i wanted by a different salon and i told her i want to lighten it without damaging my hair more because it was already burned from previous highlighting jobs. She tried everything in her power to keep it healthy and was able to achieve the color i asked for. She’s amazing with hot scissor cuts and is an overall lovely person. The atmosphere here is different than in any other hair salon, the staff are all friendly and the owner is the best, she always makes sure that you’re satisfied with the work. I have an appointment coming up and cant wait for the much needed hot scissor cut.

Hello! I came to your salon 2.5 months ago and my appointment was at 2pm, the person that I was assigned to Kirill was working in another client. I waited patiently and after telling the person at the reception that it’s almost 2:30 and that I have two little children at home and need to leave at a certain time; only at 2:30 I was taken to do my hair. I came for highlights and Kirill kept telling me that my hair won’t tolerate highlighted because it’s too dark and my only option is ombré. I do highlights for the past 15 years and never heard of such a thing from a hair stylist. My hair was burned with this ombré style. On top of what I paid in your salon $ 200. I had to go back up my hairstylist who cut most of my hair off and now I have short hair thanks to your salon. So lesson learned. I will stick to my hair stylist.

Great place all around. The service is top notch. The atmosphere is great. Staff is as awesome as they come. And the best thing, is what you actually come there for, their work. Not many places around here deserve 5 stars, short of going to the city, and this place deserves 10 stars if it was possible.

Had a bad experience ever with Lena Bondarenko. Only friendly when ppl pay for services. When ppl ask for money back … Totally different attitude.

I moved to the area about a year ago and was desperate because i could not find a decent hair salon. I have been to many before i finally decided to try this place. So far i have been more than happy with the service and professional staff: Tanya, Lena, and Kiril and im more than sure other stylists are also great! The prices are reasonable and you also get some extra advice on what the hair needs. It doesnt only seems as if they are trying to sell services rather really care for the condition of the hair :)

Love how Elena does my haircuts. She is amazing and personable. It is a pricy place for me to do trims (that is why i gave only four stars), but totally worth it for major changes once in a while. Ten stars for Lena !
