On a recent meandering jaunt around Brooklyn, en route to Il Passatore and parts unknown, my date and eye happened past this cute art gallery. Embracing that moment of serendipity like a puppy might embrace your leg, we stepped right into Vaudeville to taste what was on offer. The show was Caroline Voagen Nelson’s reConstruction exhibit. Her work was rather industrial in tone, and sharp in textures. Some really cool stuff I might say. Towards the front of the space a DJ was playing music, though the space clearly also supports a live band or other musical merriment. Our thought strayed towards staying long enough for a glass of wine and beer, but our tummies towed us like little soldiers, towards Italian delights further North.

I’ve gone to Vaudeville Park for a bunch of art openings and concerts. It’s a gorgeous, organic/grassroots place that is full of heart and good people! I’ve even talked with Ian(the director) about hosting events there. He’s got amazing energy and ideas!
