Verranzano Bridge

I hate the toll ($ 15) but it is otherwise a pretty great structure visible from many points on he north and east shores. Even under it in ft wadsworth and on the beach it has a majesty about it.

This bridge is steeped in history! Much ado at the time of construction, because of the massive undertaking and effects on the communities directly under its shadows, this bridge connected Staten Island to the rest of New York City.
