This placed closed down after hurricane sandy. It’s no longer open for business. When it used to be open I would go at least 2 to 3 times a month for jeans. They really didn’t have much like the other vim stores I used to go by. Being that this was in my neighborhood it was convenient. I never enjoyed shopping here. I had more fun buying a t-shirt from the dollar store. The employees never asked if anyone needed help. They would walk around and then vanish, or pretend to be busy. When it was time to pay the cashiers would ignore customers. Glad it closed down. This part of coney island is in need of a shopping center… a Mall.

If I can offer you only one word of advice today, it is this – BUYYOURSNEAKERSHERE. Is it like, 90 minutes by bus/subway/tired-ass feet just to get here? Yes. And will you probably walk past it twice before you actually see it(hint: it’s between the projects and the Chinese grocery) yes, almost definitely you will. Is there anything interesting to do in the area? Given that the now-deserted Boardwalk is barely in walking distance, not really. Unless you like visiting old folks homes, and then by all means. There’s about a MILLION of them at the end of Mermaid just before Sea Gate.(Surf Solomon’s a favorite – 50cents breakfast!). But will you get the cheapest Nikes G-d ever sewed? Yes, and that makes all the difference. Most name-brand styles are marked down to around 14.95, and my last pair of Nikes was $ 9.99. Leave the box with the dude who frisks you at the front counter and take a long walk through Brighton Beach until you feel clean again.
