Super friendly owner (at least I am assuming he is the owner) and nice wine selection. They were doing a tasting when I stopped in on a Saturday night and the rep had a great knowledge of the wines being presented. We ended up grabbing a bottle of one the wines that we tried. It was a white wine, which I usually don’t love, so it was nice to have a good recommendation that broadened my horizons.

Awesome spot for wines! When it comes to local spots for good wines this is definitely the place to go. They have the best variety and the people who run the place are really friendly and always willing to help you find what you are looking for. Every bottle of wine I have bought from here has always been of exceptional taste. A personal favorite in the neighborhood.

Vine box is apparently owned and operated by an adorable couple who’s genuine passion is the art of wine-​making. At Vine Box, no question is left unanswered, and any price range is respected. The décor is meticulously managed, right down the the hand-​written descriptions on each and every bottle. There is no room for improvement in this superb establishment, and I encourage anyone reading this review to peruse the outstanding selection of Vine Box.

The owner is clearly knowledgeable and is also very nice. I asked for a recommendation for a relatively inexpensive, but tasty red wine and he recommended something that I got a case of — I must say it exceeded expectations. Thank-​you!

Have needed a good wine shop in this end of Greenpoint for years. A great addition to the neighborhood! Very nice owners who are knowledgable about their wines. Good selection with plenty of affordable options.

This place is awesome! The owners couldn’t be nicer and they are extremely knowledgeable! They have a great selection of wine, the wine tastings are a nice addition, and they always give my dog India treats! Love these guys and I am so happy that they are in my hood. I hated going to that gross liquor store on Driggs or the one on Nassau prior to Vine Box opening.

This place is awesome! Lovely little wine shop with the most friendly and knowledgeable host I’ve ever met in a wine shop in the states. He’d be a perfect candidate for opening a wine bar in the area!

I was so excited when this shop opened and since then I have been in here once a week. I am only sad that now my kitchen is covered in their adorable little paper bags because apparently that is how much wine I drink.
The owner here knows exactly the wine that I like and sometimes recommends other wines based on that. He really knows his stuff and has never lead me astray and the pricing is always good.
Oh and one time the owner opened up the basement (and had to leave the shop to do so) so give me boxes from their store room when I was moving. These people are totally awesome.

Shop here. One of the best businesses in the neighborhood. The staff are warm, friendly, and helpful. And don’t be afraid to ask for recommendations. Every time they’ve suggested a wine to me it’s always been affordable – and good.

This place is an awesome addition to the neighborhood – I have not purchased wine from anywhere else in Greenpoint since finding this little gem. The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. The wines are arranged by body, not by region, which I appreciate because I don’t care where a wine comes from as much as I care about how it tastes/​feels. There are also two great Under $ 15 shelves. And all of the wines have little tags on them with great info about flavors, region, and pairings. Whether you are a wine newbie or an expert, this spot definitely has something for you.
