Vivi Bubble Tea

I only come here when I am around 8 ave.
They do not accept card and only cash!
Service is fast when you order drinks but you will have to wait a while if you order popcorn chicken.
They don’t have a stamp card in which most vivi’s do.
Their spicy popcorn chicken is really good. They overpower the spicy seasoning so it’s not that spicy. I like it that way and my friend likes it that way as well. I love how they actually take time to cook it. They make it crunchy.
Prices are reasonable for both and I would come here since it is close to the B9 stop and close to the N train stop (8ave).

They stay open up late, and it’s about the only place around midnight where you can get popcorn chicken. It’s right outside of the B9 bus station. The drinks there are okay. But the snacks take way too long.

I honestly dread coming here. I MUCH RATHER GO TO THE BAY PKWY ONE. The overall experience is pretty bad. They arent as welcoming. Whenever I come the service is SOOO SLOWW. This place is a pick up and go type of place. I ordered my drink it took them like a good 5 mins to come. (There wasnt a lot of customers at that time.) The popcorn chicken took like 15 mins to come. Normally in other places it takes like 7−10mins max. The portion isn’t as big and its not all chicken some is just the fried batter.

All the drinks I’ve gotten here at this location and others have been great. I also like their fried chicken a lot. I also get the octopus balls which are good too. I love their cute décor, and the service is quick too.

I had been in this place several times. There drinks are pretty good. But the service hmmmmmmm… what should I say? Sometimes their staff just seems so impatient. Overall, no matter how their staffs are, it is still a good place for u to grab a drink.

Ordered the garlic popcorn chicken and it was good the first couple of bites, but then the more I ate it the more intense the garlic flavor became. I ended up throwing out half the bag. The after taste was so bad and so strong and lasted for hours. Never again.
The bubble tea is alright. My go-​to-​drink is always the 3Q milk tea. Definitely worth the price considering it comes with tapioca, pudding and herbal jelly.

This is my favorite bubble tea in Brooklyn, The girl very nice and profession. I like green milk tea, less sugar and light ice, they alway did very well, because sometime when I go other bubble tea store. I asked less sugar and light, they still too sweet and much ice.
If u guys live around 8av Brooklyn, u must be there!!! Vivi bubble tea!

I have been to this place for a few times already the stuff is good but there’s a few time I come over to order drinks the cups are always broken and the teas inside are getting out I was so mad… it was like I paid for drinks and you give me a broken cup and I was like come on this is not the first time I mean are you guys really that poor

There’s so many bubble tea popping up all over neighborhood and frankly, none of them really stands out from one another. I generally don’t go to bubble tea shops unless I’m with a buddy that’s in a dire need for some. For our visit we had the grapefruit fruit tea (no sugar added), passionfruit fruit tea (less sugar), and a side of pop chicken. My grapefruit fruit tea still tasted pretty sweet even though I told them no added sugar but I don’t fault them since there’s probably sweeteners/​syrups in the grapefruit mix but my friend’s passionfruit fruit tea was so sweet, she couldn’t drink it. Also, the pop chicken was all just batter, no real pieces of chicken.
Would I come here again? Why would I when 8^th ave have so many different bubble tea shops. People like to pick and choose their favorite shops and vivi is definitely not mine.

This seems like any typical bubble tea shop. What’s nice about this place is that they close at midnight.

As much as I come here, all I can say is convenience. I come here normally at night when Kung Fu Tea, Tenren or Formosa is closed or when I want to grab a midnight snack. Extremely small store and one small table outside. Don’t expect a bathroom. Vivi unlike other competitors sell snacks. Snacks like takoyaki, popcorn chicken, Taiwanese sausages.
I always come here for the popcorn chicken and most of the time it taste different. Sometimes it’s not crispy or it doesn’t have enough taste. The takoyaki is stuff with corn and a small piece of octopus. I learn my lesson to not order through take out since the takoyaki gets soggy easily. The drinks are okay, the Jasmine milk green tea with herbal jelly is my favorite from most bubble tea stores and the fruit green teas get go wrong unless you don’t want any sugar or sweetness (all syrup base).
The service is may vary depending the the cashier working that day. I do recommend it if you are always looking for something to munch on and drink on at the evenings.

Came here a few times, one of the workers either didn’t know what she was doing or did not know that your suppose to put orders together. I ordered a grass jelly milk tea and popcorn chicken. She gave me 2 receipts, had me pay 2 different times. Your suppose to put them together in one receipt. Btw when I asked for popcorn chicken, she put it in without even asking me what flavor until I mentioned it to her. Btw drink was messed up 4 times. Workers need to pay attention more

Came here at 11PM and they were done with selling popcorn chicken, which was disappointing. Just got a milk tea with pudding (no boba either…) and it was standard.

Service here is just terrible… this girl just snapped at customers when they asked questions. I even got snapped at for trying to claim my chicken because she called out my number then told me it wasn’t my number that she called out. The other lady who had that correct number was confused because she also heard my number.
Aside from the customer service ill just rate based on their products. I got the mango bubble green tea and also an order of basil popcorn chicken. the drink was good and consistent but the chicken had its ups and downs.
good about the chicken: the flavor was well seasoned and it was fresh and juicy.
bad about the chicken: it wasn’t crispy as how popcorn chicken should be. It was soggy and the batter was still sort of wet? (it was already soggy when the chicken was handed to me) I don’t know if its just hot outside that it wasnt crispy but i felt a little disgusted after a few pieces. long wait too for the chicken (approx 10 minutes?)
drink: perfectly iced, and enough of mango flavoring to not overwhelm the drink. bubbles were on point, bouncy, chewy and not hard.

Vivi tea it is! Period. I started drinking Vivi’s tea from their first store opening in chinatown now all the way to Brooklyn! Convenient for me and mostly importantly, deliciously the way I like it! Choose your option of sugar if you think it’s too sweet for your liking! Go half sugar is already more than enough! I possibly have tried all their cold drinks here and majority of their hot drinks as well as their foods!
Drinks I always love:
1. Regular bubble tea (hot or cold is good)
2. Passion fruit tea with jelly if u like
3. Japanese match (hot)
4. Mango tea
5. Taro bubble tea
Food wise:
1. Popcorn chicken (garlic, salt and pepper)
2. Shaved ice is a must as well
I always keep coming back. Never disappoints. No matter how many bubble tea is down the block, next corner, or even next door, Vivi is my personal choice!

I’ve been to TenRen, Kung Fu Tea, Quickly, Chatime, and etc. Today I decided to try something new and came into Vivi. The The bubble tea shop is small and modern. Like many tea shop now you can customize your drink in so many different ways.
Ordered a popcorn chicken with curry favor and milk tea. The chicken was crunchy on the outside yet soft on the inside. At first it felt like I was eating something raw and had to double check for myself. The chicken was cooked but the texture was not to be desired. The popcorn chicken came in a good portion. The milk tea was A-​OK and nothing special. The WOW factor is missing. I will come back and try the bubble milk tea in the future but not right away.

Pro:
— Delicious tapioca that isn’t too chewy or too hard, just the right consistency.
— Serve the drinks quickly.
Con:
— Small. Nowhere to sit, let alone stand and wait for your food.
— Gets crowded really quickly, especially around lunch time.
— Have to wait a while for popcorn chicken regardless of whether there is a lot of people or not.
Regardless of all their cons, they do have some of the most delicious tapioca around the area and their popcorn chicken are really good and makes a great snack so I will be stopping by more often, maybe not to this particular location because they have a storefront almost everywhere.

Noticed a bunch of new bubble tea houses in the area and Vivi is one of them! Finally, don’t have to travel all the way out to Chinatown in the city for my favorite bubble teas! Small little shop opened up right next to the B9 bus stop on 60^th street, one of the busiest streets on 8^th avenue.
Ms. Adventurous today so I dived right in for the Yakault Green Tea and Grapefruit Jelly Tea. Green tea is crisp, the yakault, an Asian yogurt drink, gave it a nice sweetness. Even though they made my order wrong for the Grapefruit jelly, instead made a Grapefruit Pulp Tea, it was still refreshing on a 80 degree weather like today!

Newly opened bubble tea spot!
A ViVi bubble tea spot just recently opened up. Im guessing by the crowd of people either waiting to order or waiting to pick up their drinks, that this place opened up this week. A while ago, a Quickly once stood near this spot, but then it closed and the noodle place expanded and took the space. The store on the corner closed a few weeks ago and I guess they split the store into two and voila, came a small spot for ViVi to set up shop.
They had a promo going on for their opening, for 3 days only, 50% off select drinks. It was either the grapefruit jelly, regular black tea bubble or herb jelly tea. I went for the grapefruit jelly since I never tried the grapefruit tea. It was pretty good. There was pulp inside which surprisingly was not bad since I hate pulp. The jelly was like jello, in globs. I was not expecting that type of jelly. It had no flavor but it was still good.
