Bland bland bland Requested lo mein, spicy string bean, Kung pao and chicken and broccoli, all extra spicy. Not Only bland and waaaay overpriced but also included only 2 packets of duck sauce. Not like oh no only 2 packets. More like no hot sauce? No mustard sauce? Nothing! Gross. My whole apartment smells like shitty Chinese food for no reason. Blech

My friend Wei Williamsburg has been trustworthy and loyal to me through my journey as a resident here. While sometimes unnervingly speedy in service, this restaurant fries up a reliable General Tso’s chicken dish which leaves me unfortunately wanting more. Worth a look as your go-to Chinese takeout place.

This place is solid! Great delivery too! The General Tso is on point, and the vegetable dumplings are always good too! And there open till 4am which is great for late nights.

I’ve been a frequent patron of this restaurant for quite some time now and I’ve never had a problem with their food. In fact, considering the other options you have in the Bedford area for Chinese, Wei is actually quite good. What I do have a problem with are their unscrupulous business practices; I was going over my monthly statement this morning and I found not one, not two, not three but FOUR unauthorized charges from Wei ranging from $ 19 to over $ 45 over the last three weeks. I’m 100% positive(in the same way that I’m positive water is wet and that bears sh*t in the woods) that these charges are fraudulent given that I’ve only ever paid cash for their food and in the off chance I’ve used my card it has always gone through seamless and appears as such on my statement. Moreover, all charges were made on days where I didn’t eat/order anything from this establishment. In particular, this past weekend they charged me twice even though I spent the last seven days eating my miserable, home-cooked, meal-prepped chicken breast and rice in a desperate attempt to save money. Their food is decent, but not worth the additional $ 140 of my money that they’ve helped themselves to. If you’ve ordered from this place at any point in the past using anything other than cash I highly recommend you go over your account statement with a fine-tooth comb to see if they’ve been ripping you off in a similar manner.

Dumplings are on point and there’s a great variety. They have soup dumplings that are decent when a craving hits and you’re nowhere near Flushing Queens. The vegetables are cooked healthily, without too much sodium or oil. They’re really fast with delivery too and perfect for late night snacks.

Best Shanghainese(Chinese) food in NYC. I lived in Shanghai for two years and I’ve been desperately missing good, quality Shanghai food that’s open late. Plenty of vegetarian options and meat eaters are certainly not left out. Mr. Wei is a cool guy too. I’ll be telling all my friends this is the place to go from now on. Expect to see me back!

already fresh good — a little higher in price in terms of Chinese food but you get what you pay for in quality and taste. The dumplings are top notch!

I was shocked when I read the reviews on here. Not only does Wei have the best dumplings in Williamsburg, they also deliver crazy late at night and they are super fast. A few reviews on here are surely from people that are not big dumpling fans. Try ordering anywhere else, and the order will take twice as long. As for the occasional screw up, I’ve never had a single wrong/bad order and I’ve ordered from Wei at least 10 times now. They are less than a year old, so I imagine when they were first starting they probably messed up a couple orders here and there. But they are super accurate now. I’d also recommend going there in person to meet the owners and servers. Really nice/friendly. They are part of the neighborhood now and they are making our community here on the south side of the BQE better. ps. their spicy wontons are crazy good too.

Food is mm mm good! I’ve ordered from here a number of times the fried chicken and lo mein are delicious! My family loves all of the different dumplings they have especially the soup dumplings. You could always count on them to deliver quickly.

I’ve ordered four or so times now from here(delivery, pick up and almost sit down). I’ve yet to be disappointed by the food or delivery time frame. Pick up is much faster, if you’re super hungry and can’t wait I suggest that method. Overall I’d say this is better than«fast food» in the area a definite must try.

Seamless delivery is terrible. It’s always twice the amount of time and the order is always wrong. I keep giving Wei so many chances and want to like them. Dining in is better experience. But get it together !!

Wei Williamsburg ISSOGOOD! Wei, the owner/manager, always has the best recommendations that always hit the spot. GETTHEDUMPLINGS. ALLOFTHEM. GETTHESHREDDEDBEEF W/CHILI PEPPERNOODLESOUP. Just do yourself a favor and get the PORKSOUPDUMPLINGS. I literally ate here twice today.

Hot and sour soup does not taste like hot and sour soup. The salt and pepper chicken should have been decent if eaten shortly after cooking. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour and a half for delivery and therefore food was cold and soggy. This was of course complemented with a disgruntled delivery guy. Would not recommend for delivery unless you enjoy hour long waits for soggy foods.

We live in the area, and was walking around burg. We made up our own kind of restaurant week to explore new eateries in our area. This is one of them! Everything was so yummy. The pork soup dumplings had a bit of bite. The scallion pancakes with pork and hoisin were tasty. We loved it. And the owner was a bit of a smart ass and funny. He was super accommodating to us late night. We will be back.

I now have a local spot thats open super late where I can feed my soup dumpling cravings. Not every soup dumpling can be from Din Tai Fung, especially on the Southside of Williamsburg, so I do not mind that the skin is thicker on these. The string beans with garlic is more fragrant than what I would receive at just a typical take out Chinese spot, so I do appreciate the quality and freshness of the dishes. This place is no frills, straight forward and reasonably priced so you’re either into that or not. It’s usually not crowded but they seem to be a hot spot for delivery. The owner here is super nice and to clarify as a Taiwanese/Chinese American, everyone in this restaurant is Chinese. It’s silly seeing a comment from someone that suggests for the staff to «take a trip to Chinatown to see how the dishes are SUPPOSETOTASTEANDLOOKLIKE.» Telling people from China to go to Chinatown to learn about proper Chinese food is probably one of the rudest Unilocal reviews I’ve ever seen. I find the dine-in service here to be accommodative and friendly and to me that makes a difference in the neighborhood restaurants I choose to support.

My General Tso’s chicken was really good and so was my roommate’s Lo Mein, even though it had large, flat noodles, which was odd. But the scallion pancakes were the worst I’ve ever had in my life. First of all, they were definitely not cooked all the way through. Secondly, they are rolled up like a taquito and stuffed with something, whether it be pork belly, beef, or «vegetables,» which is what I opted for. The«vegetable» was shredded lettuce. Why are you making scallion pancakes this way? Why? Quit it.

I had some hope but was let down major. Every single person who gave this place 4 stars or more I noticed is not Chinese… How my food tasted & looked I’m not 100% sure if the owner of this establishment is Chinese or even Asian. I ordered via seamless soup dumplings & roast pork over rice. Total SMH!!! Soup dumplings had barely any soup in them, the skin was too thick, dry & the sauce idk what sauce it is but ugh — typically it would be sweet soy sauce with slices of ginger & the soup dumplings [if made correctly] will have plenty of soup inside and the skin would be thin & slightly chewy. Now onto the roast pork… Sigh! Needless to say I threw out my order. I’m pretty sure they were trying to make«cha siew fan» like the ones you would find in Chinatown [big wong, kam man… etc]. Major fail to the cook… Your copycat of «cha siew fan» is a major flop. I highly advise the owner n cooks of this restaurant to go over their menu and take a trip to Chinatown to see how the dishes are SUPPOSETOTASTEANDLOOKLIKE. Another Asian restaurant trying to be Asian catering to hipsters & yuppies that don’t know what real Asian food taste like. Sorry guys! Wish you guys the best of luck…
