Wells Fargo Home Mortgage

I worked with Home Mortgage Consultant Ray Owusu of Wells Fargo on my mortgage and it was a great experience because he was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and made the process seamless!

I want to take the time to write a review for this person who made a dream come true.
Ray Owusu is a great advisor and mortgage broker for first time home buyers. I cannot express that enough!!! My experience with Ray cannot be put into words. After being told I couldn’t get a home in The time frame I needed, I was doubtful it would happen. I was introduced to Ray and immediately I knew he was the person I wanted to work with. It was a good feeling knowing that Someone could explain in detail the ins and out of a experience that is stressful enough. I try my best to refer any and everyone to Ray because it’s such a good feeling when your NOT being sold a dream but it actually happens. Wells Fargo has such a great broker on their hands!!! I’ve been in my home currently three months and couldn’t be more happy with the way things turned out.

Had an excellent experience speaking with a mortgage consultant (R. Oswusu) from Wells Fargo. It’s refreshing speaking to an expert without being sold a dream just to be set up for failure. We had excellent dialogue as we set realistic goals for myself and the steps I needed to take to become a future home owner. I was enlightened to find that Wells Fargo had excellent partnerships with Unions as I am a City employee. I don’t bank with Wells Fargo however I am open to do so as my own bank lacks in multiple areas that concern me. I’ve attended workshops where a Wells Fargo representative has been in attendance and I’m liking what this bank has to offer so far. I’m not always the optimist and can be guarded if I feel I’m being bullsh**ted. Looking forward to working with this bank and I will follow up with more reviews.

My experience with wells fargo mortgage bank for a simple refinance was absolutely abysmal. In particular their mortgage broker jared stander promised me on at least a half a dozen occasions that he would be able to close within 7 days. The process stretched out for 7 months and they were unable to close. Basically he then tops it off by promising a refund of my appraisal fee and doesn’t even come through with that. Just an awful awful experience and my recommendation is stay away.

This Wells Fargo is HORRENDOUS!!!
I had endured almost half a year hell with this branch.
In general Wells Fargo has a lot of requirements that have to be met in order to qualify for any loan. My low loan of $ 75,000 which is nothing to these big corporations was denied but thats not the issue.
My issue is that I had a really bad «loan officer», as he preferred to be called.
Always «not having» documents that I sent and resent and somehow still lost yet again.
I could have been saved this half a year headache had he done his job.
He was required to submit the loan to Fannie Mae for approval. He «dropped the ball» and forgot to do so. (He accused the COOP management of not being available. I’m shocked that it would require months to contact anyone, especially when the multi-​personnel management is there 9 to 5pm on all working business days.)
I lost my low APR and spent almost $ 800 for a pointless Wells Fargo questionnaire and apartment assessment.
GIVE ME BACK :
1. My time wasted for fulfilling Wells Fargo many requirements.
2. Lost APR. (which is in the thousands i could’ve not lost)
3. Money wasted.
PS. Jimmy Mamakas of Sterling National not only got me my loan, but it only took two months and its Fannie Mae approved.

I can not believe this is part of Wells Fargo… I called several times and no answer, operator not available. Finally I got through and someone said «Hello?» like I called their house. You would think an office of a major bank would have some level of professional behavior. Based on other reviews and my experience I would avoid this office.

I recently got my home mortgage with Wells Fargo. Now if you looking to get a loan you might as well be willing to call these people every day to find out what’s going on with your file. As they do not call to update you with anything. And call you only when they need the same documents you have already submitted. I actually I to physically go there a few times to make sure they were working on my file. But in the end they did close my loan.

I recently bought a home and we used the purchase and renovation loan (FHA 203K loan). Other than getting the contractor bids in I don’t think it was much different than a regular loan. We used Barry Koven at Wells Fargo and he could not have been nicer. Really knowledgeable guy and he made the process as painless as is possible these days.

Sure they have money to lend — if you don’t mind jumping through ridiculous amounts of hoops.
Three employment verifications? Three? Including two within a week of each other?
If Wells Fargo (and Wachovia, which they swallowed) had been half this careful in 2000 – 2007 they wouldn’t have needed a bailout…
