Came here for a quick lunch. While they are known for their noodles, I was craving for dumplings instead. I ordered the steamed dumplings instead of fried. For $ 3.50, you get 8 fat, juicy and meaty dumplings. Definitely better than prosperity dumplings, IMO. Service was quick. I was in and out within 10 minutes. They spoke minimal English but I had no issues ordering. Definitely recommended and would like to come back for the noddles Tip: like one Unilocaler mentioned, storefront is actually on 60th street.

Great place to order your noodle soup ! Awesome service and quality. The fried rice is awesome and the noodle soup is the best. I’ll recommend

My bf and I literally ate a buffet here. We ordered: 1 beef stew noodle soup, 1 beef noodle soup, 1 beef stir fried noodles, 1 order of steamed dumplings, and 1 scallion pancake! As you may have guessed, we ordered way too much food for two people but at the same time, it allowed us to get a taste of different things from the menu. Overall, we were pretty much satisfied with everything. The noodle soups, alone, were probably enough to fill us up because they gave such a generous amount of noodles! My bf and I felt like we were eating and eating but the noodle soup was a bottomless pit. We didn’t end up finishing it all, but now we know not to order more than we can eat. For the price and taste, this place is such a great hole-in-the-wall! Just go in with an empty stomach and you’re bound to leave bloated with a happy wallet.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for a quick bite before meeting up with some friends. This small noodle shop is owned and operated by fujianese people. Service is fast, order at the counter, sit down then they bring it out to you within 5 minutes. Prices are cheap and reasonable. Flavors of the broth are on point.

The two things I really like about this place is that one, the noodles are hand pulled– not packaged like some other places. And two, the soup is not that salty-just right. The bathroom is okay, do go if you need to! Overall it’s really a good place to go when you;re craving for la mian and it’s perf for noodle lovers. You can also substitute la mein with mei fun, rice stick noodle, ho fun, and line noodle.(I personally recommend rice stick noodle and ho fun) I’m not familiar with the menu but I would usually call for fish balls with la mian($ 5.50). Dumplings or vegetables and egg with la mian(both 5 $) are also nice choices too. Their menu is in Chinese and English. If experiencing difficulty you can always point at the menu. I like that this place is on the same block as the B9 stop, so if you’re not rushing and somewhat hungry– this is a good place to go! And if you’re thirsty afterwards, there is Vivi next door. Bubble tea after la mian? Perfff~~

The food is pretty good. I ordered the house special and it came with a fried egg beef and noodles. They’re dumplings are tasty but on the oily side and pretty expensive in the area. The people working there don’t speak English well. The handpuller dude only speaks mandarin and a few English phrases.

I tried this place for the first time after Unilocaling and loved their hand pulled noodles and fried dumplings. I got #2 with beef and it was delicious! Their fried dumplings were so juicy and tasty~ great cheap food! The guy behind the counter is nice too. Will return

Ordered dumplings at the counter. The lady looked at me blankly and nodded at me to sit. I waited several minutes, and the owner who had been there the entire time playing with her kids, looked at me and asked if I ordered. I said yes I just gave the woman behind the counter my order. She said«oh she didn’t understand you». So 1) they don’t even train the workers to understand the English words for their most popular menu item, 2) the people behind the counter can’t even be arsed to get the attention of whoever is taking orders and 3) the owner themselves don’t even take the time to find out if you ordered or not. Taking all that together, I can’t imagine what a shitshow is going on with the food preparation. Thanks, I’m going to make dumplings on my own from now on.

This place is located on 60th at right by the bus stop. Seems like they have expanded and added a few more seats. Food here is good and very inexpensive. Dumplings were great noodles were good cannot complain about food. Service on the other hand was was a bit under par. Definitely not a deal breaker had worse service before but defiantly a place to grab a bit and have a taste of China

These are the best dumplings I’ve had in the area. They are light and flavorful(not gummy) and very inexpensive! It’s about $ 3.50 for 8? steamed dumplings. This review is just based off of that but the other food here looks incredible and I will be back!

A great simple hand-pulled noodle place that has really flavorful soups for cheap affordable prices. I always get the house special because I like variety(this includes some duck, vegetables, a fried egg, some beef, beef tripe, and other options) but I think all of the options should be good. The shop is run by a team of 5 at any point in the day and the soup is constantly stewing in the back. All the ingredients are tasty and the broth is full of beef broth flavor. Note that the restaurant itself might be a bit hard to find since 59248th avenue really refers to a number of different stores that wrap around the corner. Look at the pictures that the other Unilocal reviewers have posted or turn the corner on 60th St. toward seventh Avenue in order to find the restaurant.

I may have just found my new spot for hand pulled noodles on 8th ave! I know of this place, was always skeptical about it for some reason until yesterday. My husband works the graveyard shifts and woke up around the time our daughter gets off from school, we couldn’t go too far for a quick bite. I Unilocal-ed the place and surprisingly saw high reviews. So, we walked right on in. Small little joint with very tight seating, but customers were in and out. Husband didn’t know what to get, so I got him the House Special Hand Pulled Noodles. Hey, can’t go wrong if a little of everything came in it, especially on our first visit we get to taste a bit of everything for future reference. Delicious toppings included tripe, beef stew, pork chop, vegetables, and fried egg in the bowl. The thickness of the noodle strands were pulled consistently, and stretched to about an arm span’s length. I wasn’t too hungry since I have already had lunch by myself right before, but it’s hard to watch someone else eat, therefore, I went ahead and got a Scallion Pancake(thought I could use a small snack). The guy asked with our without egg. Never heard of scallion pancakes with egg before so I stayed on the safe side and went without. Best pancakes I’ve had in a long time! Lightly crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside(I’m definitely coming back for the egg). The smell of it was incredible, something simple done just right. For the portions of the food, the prices can’t be beat. NO tips required! Don’t forget to try their sauces lined up by the counter!

On a cold day, all you want is a nice bowl of noodle soup. We trekked our way to Wong Good — which I think has merged with Lan Zhou. We ordered the house special(mix of meats and a fried egg) and the beef stew hand pulled noodles. The soup base was good, however the noodles we had were overcooked and broke right when you bit into it. One of our sins is gluttony. On top of the noodle soup, we ordered pan fried dumplings and scallion pancakes. I would pass on the dumplings next time and perhaps order the scallion egg pancakes.

After a full immersion in dumplings I was in the mood for noodles, stir fried. Not easy to find actually, in-broth style are much more popular here… while I like the dry style a lot. More. Went in this hand-made noodles place and ordered the beef option, suggested by the nice Lady taking the order. Then, not being able to resist, I ordered also fried dumplings… for a culinary interest of course! as I was not too hungry. The nice Lady also brought a complementary cup of broth/soup. It was very good and also lean, not greasy at all and also with an interesting spicy taste, like cinnamon. Noodles were delicous. Dumplings were soo good. Really. What is also great is that this place is very clean, restroom included(they keep it locked, you need to ask for the key). Only problem in the area is parking. If you are starving… looking for a free spot can make you a bit nervous.

Delicious hand pulled noodle soup with your choice of protein. The beef is delicious. The soup broth is full of flavor and they give you a lot of noodles. It’s no joke and they are pulling noodles inside. You will see it when you go in, it’s the real deal. Plenty of places to sit and slurp down your noodle soup. The best place on a cold lousy day. They also have great dumplings!

Pretty good stuff, but nothing mind blowing. If you can’t read chinese the menu can be a bit of a gamble, as there are no descriptions or pictures. We got two orders of pulled noodle soup– the house special and the duck. The broth was tasty and the noodles were perfectly tender. The house special had some tendon, fried pork and a fried egg(my favorite part). The pork and tendon were both pretty difficult to chew– though the pork would’ve been good otherwise. My boyfriend had the duck pulled noode– the crispy skin on the duck was delicious, but it was chock-full of small pieces of bone. We also got an order of fried dumplings and fish balls, which were both pretty average. I will say that with HUGE portions(we both had a ton of soup to take home) and the total cost of the meal coming to $ 22, it was pretty cheap. If I do go back, I’ll definitely opt for the pulled noodle with egg and vegetable, as all of the meats were pretty tough.

They have added scallion pancakes to the menu and I love them. They’re on the lighter not so crispy side but it’s great. It reminds me of the Malaysian roti canai appetizer. Although I think they can create a better sauce for it, the pancakes tastes good just as it is. I don’t usually eat fried dumplings but if I had to, I’d only eat the ones from here. I enjoy a bowl of hand-pulled noodles every now of then. The cashier lady in the front speaks different types of dialect of Chinese and English so that really helps because I won’t have to point at numbers anymore.

Love their crispy thick skinned dumplings that are perfectly browned, filled with juicy pork and chives. Their noodles are pulled by the man in the white folded hat and thrown fresh into your broth. The beef tendon hand pulled noodles is generous with the tendon and tendon is cooked to perfectly soft gelatinous texture. Yum!

I think I’ve discovered the only Chinese place in America with good service. The cooks and staff always seem genuinely happy; it’s quite a refreshing change. However, the hand-pulled noodles have fallen short of that breath of fresh air. The noodles are average; I’ve had better ones– ones that are more chewy in texture– the way it’s supposed to be. Secondly, that mess of a bath the noodles are swimming in is a waste. Why make fresh noodles and then dunk it in that flavorless soup? What happened to the infused fatty meat taste we’re supposed to get? If the cooks spent the time to make a proper batch of broth, this place could be a real contender. My family keeps insisting to eat here whenever we’re around 8th avenue. According to my mom, the oxtail noodles have really diminished in quality. If this is one of the best options in the area, I’m not too sure I want to torture my palette with surrounding businesses. It’s the price, always the price that somehow elevates the mediocre, and keeps people dishonest. I didn’t feel like subjecting myself to another large bowl of redundant chewing so I switched it up with some fried dumplings. The dumpling plate was the best order of the day; meaty and with just the right amount of chives. I’d re-order this next time; yes, I’m sure there will be a next time. My brother is a creature of habit.
