Pop’s Pitt Bar B Q

This food here is really good and at great prices! I will definitely be coming back. The only thing I can complain about is that there is only outside seating and summer in Houston is so humid and hot. I will be coming back to pick up food though!

Always love this place buy for home and work. Only problem is catching them open… Rated a four only cause hard to catching them open.

First time to try this little shack BBQ place today. Don’t know why, I work in this little town and bird hunt here as well, yearly.
Anyway, got the slice beef sammich, add your own pickles, onions and jalapenos if you want. The slice comes from the more tender and juicy fat cap end, which is the right way for sliced beef, the leaner flat part of brisket is used for his chopped beef.
Meat and sauce were great on my sammich, will try a plate next time and give a review on that.

Definitely worth the drive to Brookshire. The suicide spud is a favorite. It has all the fixings for a loaded potato. And they do not hold back on how much they serve.
The only downfall I would say, is that it’s closed on Sunday’s & Mondays.
Other than that, I would recommend it.

I love this place. Family owned great friendly people and it’s just hidden! They make everything fresh to order and you can’t go wrong at all. Love the country feel.

Ain’t fancy, ain’t too clean, but great BBQ! Owners are really friendly. Sausage is home made and meat is the real deal. Don’t blink while passing through because you’ll miss this little gem. Will definitely be coming back!

I almost don’t want to tell anyone about this place. I like not having to stand in a long line to get the best barbecue I’ve ever had. My favorite is the simple chopped beef sandwich, but everything there is excellent. I’m a local and it’s so nice to have barbecue of this caliber that’s so close.

Fantastic picturesque «authentic» Texas BBQ, absolutetly loved it! A must-​stop for bicyclists and anyone passing on a car trip. Very nice meny, and good quality food!

I went to Pop’s Pitt BBQ this afternoon for lunch.
It is your quintessential hole in the wall place. It looks like it was a small house at some stage, it has a kitchen and a small wrap around porch where the customers sit. It is walk up ordering like most BBQ places. As one of the reviewers said, the kitchen looked really clean, which is always good.
I had the «Heart Attack Sandwich» which was a brisket and sausage sandwich. The kids ordered Sausage, but did not finish it so I tried that too.
The brisket was really full of smoky flavour, most places just use the lean part for their sandwiches, but this was moist. The Sausage was good as well.
It’s not the best BBQ in Texas, but if you are in Brookshire, it is well worth a try. Next time I am there, I will get a Brisket Plate.

I’d like to think the hours and weeks wasted on episodes of Beverly Hill hillbillies as a child prepared me for this day.
Surrounded by a town the time has not been kind to, food lines as long as a suave dinning experience on valentines night. Pop’s serves up a quick serving of meals one person at a time through a small cashier teller style window. From a shack where there is obviously no deed restriction.(Look at the pictures)
While the surroundings was much more vivid an experience than the food Pop’s serves, it does pose a question of «How does a hut in an area where there is barely water, electricity, and no chance of internet, but can take credit cards, when half of the establishment in China town cant?»

Had the ½ chicken great value and really tasty

Best BBQ I had so far in Texas since ive been here. Very juicy and tasty. Loved the way the place looked and had a nice old style feel. Kitchen was very clean as well.
