Didn’t order any food, but the milkshake was good, made with real ingredients. We bought some fairly expensive jams and salsa that turned out to be rather ordionary. Nothing wrong with this place, it’s just not as «special» as one might think.

These ladies do a great job with their business! This is no ordinary small town business. The product is wonderful and the service is professional. They are always eager and willing to find you the special thing. I love visiting this place with all it wonderful snacks and sauces that are very tasty. They also have a wonderful nick knack shop that has amazing collectibles. I purchased a beautiful hand stitched Indiana and Ohio pillow there that they ordered and sent to me at no extra cost. This is a must visit and get yourself some yummy ice-cream and sauce. I can see why these two ladies have stayed in business for so long with lots of repeat customers.

On a hot summer day there is nothing better than stopping by for a cone or dish of their wonderful hand dipped ice cream! It’s great to get your food and sit outside at a table under the one of the big umbrellas. They currently have a flavor that tastes like an orange dream sickle which has me addicted. Other ice cream treats include sundaes and milk shakes. Ice cream portions are one of the best values going for the price, compared with what others charge for ice cream. As your order is being prepared you’ll notice the very cool pictures and stories of Brookston’s history on the wall. They are also known as Prairie Street Market. They are open 10 am to «closing» on Tuesday thru Sunday. They have grilled panini sandwiches, deli sandwiches, wraps, salads, hot dogs, nachos and more. Drinks include assorted soda and bottled water. Glass door refrigerators display Indiana cheeses and various items you can purchase to take home. The north part of the shop has items made mostly by local and Indiana artists and craftspeople. They also offer an assortment of their own original«Two Cookin’ Sisters» branded salsa and other treats. These items are also available online at their web site. Great place for an ice cream treat and/or lunch, fun to shop, great place to find the perfect gift.

I just had the house-made pumpkin butter and it was outstanding. Sweet without being syrupy, very spreadable, and nicely spiced. Equally good is the pumpkin pancake mix(which is not made by Two Sisters but does appear to be made by an equally small Indiana producer). Simple to use and it makes delicious, light pancakes in minutes. I recommend both highly.
