I was excited that we were keeping a locally owned coffee shop. My husband and I went out for coffee and were not happy with this place. The owner was sitting on the sofa just waiting for someone to come in. The espresso in my drink was horrible, both of us ended up throwing our drinks in the trash. Couldn’t even force it down.
I don’t mind paying for quality.. . but the espresso in my latte tasted bitter and old. Didn’t taste like they used a local (or a decent) roaster for their espresso.

I was thrilled that something new opened where this coffee house used to be. Then, I stopped in for coffee and got even happier!
The Coffee Italiano was great, but the food was better. When I ordered a breakfast sandwich (Friday special for $ 2.50) I TOTALLY expected them to remove it from the plastic before microwaving it. Imagine my surprise when… It was FRESHLY made! Yes, they baked the bun it came on, but they also cooked the egg to order and made a sandwich SO much better than the usual.
They also have fresh, homemade pastries and cookies. I can’t wait to go back, and hope you do too.
