This has to be the most dishonest and crooked plumbing company that I’ve ever came across. The manager argued with me for 10 mins about work that was done. He stated that I would have to pay another service fee to send someone back out even though they never fixed the problem the first time. Then he stated that the reason the work wasn’t done was because I denied access to the plumbing. When in fact I said that it was fine. I have a 2′ x 2′ hole in my wall that shows the access. But instead of sending someone to verify or ask for a picture he called me a liar and stated that his invoice shows no work being done. I even offered to send him my invoice copy to show that access was made and work was attempted. I will never again use this low rate company. Buyers beware.

Like the other posts, Unstoppers was assigned to me by warranty company. I’m having my bathrooms updated and ran into issues with water shut off valve and old leaky water heater. When the guy they sent gets here 2 days later he tells me he was not advised of the valve problem and the water heater was not leaking even though it was rusty and wet. I got the contractor who’s doing my baths on the phone who attempted to tell the plumber that the water heater was leaking, but he wasn’t having it. He took my $ 85 and left, I called and told the women who answers the phone that I wanted someone else to look at it. Advised her for the 2nd time that they had my old phone #. I didn’t hear back, so I called again. Her response«Oh you want us to give you a 2nd opinion?» Yes… I already paid you the deductible! Yet another 2 days go by. 2nd guy, very nice, professional. He could not believe the 1st guy said it wasn’t leaking. Said he’d be back today(9⁄25) to do the work. BTW he still was given my old phone number by the office, even though I had also e mailed the correct number. Yesterday when I called to check on things she had no idea what had transpired with the 2nd guy. When I told her he still had my old phone number, she said I was being abusive and hung up on me. When I called back, she just picked up without saying anything and put me on hold. Turns out because the 1st idiot filed a claim that nothing was wrong and the 2nd guy said there was, they had to have more info to review the claim. Meanwhile 2 bathrooms torn up. She who does not understand English called this am all humble to say the claim was approved but they can’t come until 9⁄29. 13 days from my initial phone call. I guess you can’t select 0 stars.

These folks were the ones that my warranty company required me to use. I made the claim on a Sunday, but waited until Tuesday to call them. To my surprise they were able to come out the very next day. They gave me a window of time to expect them and said they would call ahead. To my surprise they called early and showed right up. I had 4 pretty significant issues. The technician(Jerry) was very quick, knowledgeable and pleasant. He was able to handle all of the problems except he needed to order one part. When the part came in, I had exactly the same experience. I would use these guys again, even if I wasn’t using the warranty company.

These guys are really only good for unplugging a drain or replacing a simple fixture. I would not use nor recommend this company for any serious plumbing issue. I had to go through this company because of the Home Warranty on my 111yr old Home. Most of the shame falls on the Home Warranty Company but their response is poor as well. I had two service calls that were made. The first was for a clogged drain in my first floor bathroom. It took 2 days for them to call and schedule and another for them to arrive. Originally, they were not going to auger the drain because a «clean out was not accessible above grade.» My response was to remove the toilet & reset it myself after the call. Even then the tech, name redacted, balked. I gave him an extra $ 20 because he was going to leave prior to that & I need the bathroom back in operation after being down for 4 days. C for Unstoppers & F for American Home Shield. Second call was about two months later. Again, my home is 111yrs old & plumbing was mostly original. This time it took a three days to schedule 4 days for them to come out. Leaving me with ½ of the bathrooms in my house out of service. The main waste riser for the second & third floor bathrooms failed catastrophically. Initially the Tech did not see the problem. I had to show him. Bear in mind this is the head service Tech for the area, Tampa Bay. While I was down stairs he turned on all the faucets in the secondary bath causing the water to pour down the chase and bleed out to my heartwood pine hardwood floors. I had to rush upstairs and shut the water off. When I sternly asked what he was doing he replied«I need to see where the leak is.» My response«I can show you with the flood you just created. The only positive I can add was he was good at getting the Home Warranty claim processed fully but the quote for replacement without demo was 3 times what other companies quoted with full demo/access in their scope. «F» grade for Unstoppers service B admin service, «D» for scheduling and«C» for American Home Shield.
Bottom line if you have no choice because of Home Warranty Service then just watch the work they do very carefully or go out of pocket. I definitely would not recommend their company.

Showed up on a home warranty call, took the service fee, denied the claim, left a really high quote for service and left. Totally worthless — wouldn’t recommend this company… seems to be a trend from the other reviews.

The man actually told me all he cared about was my check to him even though he got my claimed denied because he lied to the warrentee Co. He said«Florida is great! Very unprofessional; after reporting a leak on 5⁄2 it took them 20 days to report it to the insurance company to have the claim denied, convincing us to incur in over 700 dollars in additional repairs. To date, 5/25, we still do not have a working shower in the house. Do not use them i know i will not
