Dr. Ciner specializes in pediatric developmental optometry. We came to her on the recommendation of an occupational therapist who ‘suspected’ something was going on with our son’s(20⁄15) vision. We had previously taken our son to a pediatric ophthalmologist who found ‘nothing wrong’. We did not realize then that ophthalmologists look at diseases of the eye. Optometrists look at refractive and tracking issues. Dr. Ciner spotted an unexpected over-convergence issue — up close, our son was seeing fuzzy double. She prescribed reading glasses to help his eyes not work so hard and vision therapy. He is reading much more comfortably now and above his ‘grade level’ to boot. We cannot thank her and her vision therapist enough for this. They were terrific!
