My family and I have visited Aspen Leaf Yogurt a total of three times in the last two months. Two of those occasions have been awkward & perplexing. A gift card is what I use to pay for our yogurts, and on those two occasions their system was in the midst of experiencing problems; meaning: «I’m sorry we can’t allow you to use this gift card for this transaction because it won’t let me.» I hate to sound like a snob but, as a customer, why is that my problem? With various other froyo shops nearby I decided to drive the 5.3 miles to Aspen Leaf Yogurt so that I could take advantage of my gift card. When I suggested taking down my gift card # and purchase total for later(when the system was back up and running) the clerk literally shoved the card back towards me and brusquely said, «I’ll just give it to you for free since we don’t operate like that.» ?? Operate like what? Like customer service is unimportant? I appreciate the free item but, honestly, the downed system seems to be a frequent(and unattended) problem. Treating customers like we’re trying to get one over is pretty shameful, especially since this customer has made it a point to keep reloading the gift card in order to patronize this business.
