This is now a Thai place — no more drive-thru and it is awful! I waited a LONG time for satay and pad Thai and it all tasted awful.

I suspect a change of ownership. At the very least, a change of chefs. I’ve been here three times in two years for their cheap lunch deal, but the last time was pretty terrible. Food was salty and oily, and the restaurant was dirty. Won’t be back.

What’s there to say? I felt unlucky finding this place, actually. There’s no lights on outside of the building, so it’s hard to locate the place. It’s in a strip on the right-hand side of the street as you take Nickel toward 120th. You blink, and you will miss it. I ordered dumplings, hot-and-sour soup(which had a very odd taste to it), and fried tilapia in brown sauce. All to go. I sat down, and saw three other patrons sit down after I had placed my order to go. Two of the three placed their order, and already started to receive their food — ANDLEFT — before I ever got my food. I ended up waiting over 40 minutes to receive my food. Let me set the record straight. All of the patrons where Chinese, and I was the –only– hapa haole in the entire restaurant. Maybe it was discrimination? I’ve been discriminated against before like this, but this was just downright rude. I’m not Chinese. I’m Japanese. Shame on you, Lucky Café. Shame. If you want more business, turn your friggin’ lights on outside. And try serving your food just a little bit faster. You’ll get better reviews if you do. And«cheap food» doesn’t mean«better reviews.» Will not go back, and I will not recommend anyone go there. Eat at McDonald’s or Wendy’s instead. It’s a short drive up the road. Oh, and why did I go to this place in the first place? Because the reviews here were positive. Postiively false. You’re at your own risk if you choose to patronize this place. I don’t recommend it.

The food is fantastic, just stay away from anything that comes from the deep fryer because that is one area were they fail… everything is way overcooked. As for the wait staff, the one female waitress is very good, the young man on the other hand is so **expletiveve** stupid that it’s almost funny. Forget about every getting refills from this guy or plates for your appetizers and just go ahead and assume he will give you one fortune cookie shy of how many guests are at your table. So…go there for the very affordable great food and just be aware that you have a 50⁄50 shot at getting bad service.

Their food is generally good, worthy of 4 stars. But considering the price, I’d give them 5. They are best at beef dishes, stir fry or in spicy pot. My favorite launch special is beef with green beans. For dinner, I like beef/fish combo in spicy pot. But you have to tell them to use half(or no) Szechuan pepper, which is the numbing part of the spice. Their noodles are so so as an other reviewer pointed out. But most dishes on their specialty menu(with Chinese) are excellent!

OMG! They have braised pork shoulder() now. I quickly snatched the last one tonight and it was heavenly! This place continues to amaze me!

My quick lunch was ok. I went here based on Unilocal input and enjoyed my noodles but was wishing for a bit more. Perhaps I will give the place another shot and see if it is better the next time.

The food is delicious. There are some traditional chinese food here. The cook is from Cali and does a wonderful job! The food is very cheap since they are having a grand opening promotion. Highly recommended!

Pretty standard Chinese fair, but with an extensive menu, and a buy 1, get the 2nd lunch for a $ 1 deal, they got the extra star. Again, it is not ‘blow your mind’ delicious, but for the money, if you and a pal are in the mood for some cheap Chinese eats, this is a good spot. One note, however… I would not recommend going here on Chinese New Year. It was so packed, it was like actually being in China. Crazy…

Great little place! We got a flyer in the mail so decided to try it. We liked the drive through idea but decided to eat inside. The staff(especially the woman serving us) was so friendly! Wonderful service, delicious food, and we got it at a great price! Try it!
