This place is a solid 4. Waiter didn’t try to talk me into anything, which I would encourage management to do. He was pleasant and polite. My food was great(pizza) and beer selection good. Would go back for the food for sure. While in the restaurant a lady sat next to me at the bar and there was a problem with her pizza order. Apparently another person picked up their order(to go) and dropped it back off when they realized they had the wrong pizza. The establishment proceeded to give to the lady next to me the retuned pizza which should rightfully have been hers. Who knows what happened to it in that 10 min timespan? They should have replaced at no charge! Didn’t put me off but certainly put me on my guard.

Just ate their pizza. It was really good. Got pepperoni, bacon and sausage. The sausage is local and rashly good. It’s pretty expensive but other than that, great pizza.

We just moved next door and have had dinner here two nights in a row. Friday night was packed, but the service was wonderful and so was the food. The next day was just as great. The panini is a «hot pillow» of goodness. They serve appetizers, pizza and desserts that are just incredible and the staff are great. We’re looking forward to trying more of the pies. Oh, and go on Friday night for the clam pie. You can only get it that night and you don’t want to miss out!

Tried the margarita and traffic jam delicious topping on a thin crispy crust. We will be back.

Great pizza. Great service. Great experience. I dropped in and ordered a personal pizza to be delivered next door at Colorado Keg House. My $ 10 Pesto/Artichoke pizza arrived right after my beer and was delicious. I love that they brought me a paper plate, napkins, cheese & crushed red pepper flakes.

Ultimately disappointed. Salad was basically all lettuce which was browning and 1 small anchovy. Pizza was chewy; not the most tasty either.

I would personally add 2 more stars. This was delicious. I highly recommend it and I promise I don’t work there. If you’re hungry though, get a larger pizza.

Nice place. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. I had the Caesar salad. Had real anchovies, which I like. The salad was light and not to overpowering. The flavor wasn’t as vibrant as would have hoped though. They use crust on top instead of the usual croutons. I prefer croutons. Had The Roman pizza. — crust was perfectly crispy. The pizza was tasty. Overall, great pie. I imagine the other pizzas, from the looks of their menu would be good choices too.

Premium Pizza that is made with care, top notch ingredients, and baked in a fire oven. It has a great atmosphere with a very clean simple décor. It has a bar with some of tasty Colorado beers. The staff has always been top notch. I’ve never been disappointed here. They have some deserts too.

Two thumbs down! The margarita pizza is not that great. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be back in Denver, but if I am I’m not stopping by this place.

Its different but familiar at the same time. They have different takes on pizza then you’ll find most any where. Clam Pizza not that common in Colorado gotta say, the pizza its self isn’t super greasy and it’s a good size fr the price, great sauce and its just a clean taste. The store is a little place with a short bar but they are not lacking on drinks nor elbow room, plus if you really need a different kind of beer go next door to the keg house, or just take your pizza with you. Try it out start, start with cheese if you must or jump right in to The Sour Kraut(I prefer The Roman).

I should probably give this place a two star rating to keep people away, but I like this place too much. Thank you Proto’s, for not making your pizza super greasy.

I have mixed feelings about this place, while I like it overall I probably wouldn’t do it again. Everything tasted pretty good and seemed fresh, however I am not the biggest fan of the thin crust they have for there pizzas. I ordered take out so I wouldn’t be able to comment on the actual restaurant or service, but it looked nice when I stopped by to get the pizza and the people were fairly nice. They do have a pretty good location and probably get a good amount of business from the stadium nearby so I imagine they follow customer reviews and comments.

Proto’s is one of my go-to weeknight restaurants when I’m craving good pizza. Get the tomato and mozzarella salad to start, then try the low-rider or margharita DOCG pizzas. On Fridays they have CLAMPIZZA! Definitely worth a try if you’re into clams– I prefer it on a white pizza.

GREATPIZZA! Fast, friendly service. Really nice place, and they have a nice patio area. Really quite a pleasant place to stop in for a quick bite.

Wow I’m getting so TIRED of giving Proto’s locations five stars, I wish to hell they’d screw up somewhere! I’m actually looking closely and they have to be SO perfect, ALL the time … it would be tedious if it weren’t so awesome haha This is a smaller North-Denver metro location that is sort of in the perfect location: next to a wicked pub. The service and quality of the food was fast, courteous, and stellar in every way and everything I’ve come to expect from every Proto’s location.

Pizza wasn’t bad. Service was NOT good though. Came before an event and they were severely understaffed. Sat at the bar and couldn’t even get the bartender to acknowledge us. Too bad. I think on any given day it’s probably a pretty good joint, but not so great pre-event. Oh and if you’re thinking of calling an order in, your out of luck. Phone rang off the hook and nobody answered it.

We came here for dinner tonight and we’re quite impressed. We started with a glass of the house red wine which was surprisingly good for a basic house red wine. He had the Caesar salad without the anchovies which apparently come as a single fish on top of the salad & I had the basic mixed salad. We both agreed the salads were very good but, they are just salads after all and it’s a little difficult to screw those up. With the salads we also had some of their basic bread. It was fresh, warm and yummy, but I don’t remember what it was called. Not your typical loaf of bread and butter, more like a warmed round of pizza dough. We had the low rider pizza for dinner. I was skeptical when we ordered but quickly I learned how wrong I was. The honey tomato chipotle sauce was much better than I had anticipated and paired with the pineapple and cilantro it may have been one of the better pizzas I have ever had. We opted to split the tiramisu for dessert and let me tell you, they will have this in heaven. The marscapone cream was so sick and so creamy it was to die for. I don’t even really remember what the lady fingers tasted like, I just wanted more cream. I mean seriously, if given the opportunity I might commit tiramisu suicide by only eating this everyday for the rest of my life and need to be removed from my house with a crane. Overall a fantastic evening. The ambience of the restaurant was warm and friendly without being an overly casual pub. We will definitely be back soon.

It’s a great little place to hang out and get some decent pizza. I’ve been here a few times while in the area and have always had decent service and good food. Sat outside last night for dinner, beautiful night, great option for dinning. Pizza is good with many variations to choose from, I have a few different kinds and all have been good.

So I just moved across the street from this place into one of the new apartment complexes near First Bank Center, and I was excited because Proto’s was the only place with a bar within walking distance of my new place. Coming from Denver, I was nervous about living here with no where to walk to for drinks or food, but when we checked out the neighborhood Proto’s made me feel a little bit better. Since then, a few other places have come in to complement them, but we’ll concentrate on Proto’s. The first time I came here, I just had a Caesar Salad and the pizza dough with olive oil, garlic salt and parmesan. Nothing to complain about, it was a pretty solid lunch, maybe a tiny bit pricey though. The next couple of times I’ve been there, I’ve stuck with their pizza and have been pretty happy with that decision. They have a great hand-tossed crust, fresh ingredients and they’re pretty fast. It’s also pretty light as far as pizza goes, I took down a medium no problem and wasn’t too full the other day. If you’re at the Colorado Keg House next door, they will deliver the pizza right to your bar stool, and if you’re living in the area, it’s a nice walk down to Proto’s to pick up pizza for the night.
