Hands down the best sushi I have had in the Denver Surrounding Area or Colorado for that matter. Clean, friendly and great service, but the sushi is off the charts. Try the Fatty Tuna and Salmon(Sake) Nigiri, which melt like butter. The Spicy Scallop Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll are to die for as well. No fishy aftertaste, so you know it’s fresh. And this is coming from a West Coast sushi snob. Go here!

I’ve been to around 10 sushi places now, and I have to say this is the worst one I’ve gone to. The fish didn’t taste fresh, every piece of nigiri had an unexpected gob of wasabi that overpowered the fish, and in the sushi combo 1 the 9 pieces of nigiri only contained 5 types of fish. The pickled ginger was dry and the prices were a bit above average for sub-par quality. The service was good but I must say I won’t be returning.

The food is pretty good, the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 3 is because the service is so great. They’re very patient, attentive and kind. I really liked the caterpillar roll. The gyoza was probably the best gyoza I’ve had anywhere. And the fatty tuna was really, really delicious. It’s small, but still have some specific delicious sushis and dishes.

I love this place. I come to the area on business and hope the customer chooses to eat here. The sushi creations are very creative and fresh. My favorite is The Hulk. Prices are good and service attentive.

The sushi menu is extensive. The fish tasted fresh and was delicious! I underestimated the portions and ordered way too much. I am happy to be going home with leftovers, though. The servers were friendly and efficient. Our order took as long as expected as we ordered all rolls. The meal was followed by an orange sliced and ready to eat using the toothpick that accompanied it. I love that idea, it was the perfect palette cleanser!

Uhhhh, that was amazing! We love sushi and found this place online last minute before a show at 1st Bank Center. And we were blown away. Every roll was unique and amazing, the mochi desert awesome and the service was great. We will be back many times!

We ordered take out tonight and got the Denver roll, spider roll and twin crunch roll as well as the yellowtail hamachi sashimi. It was all very good and the rice was cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed our dinner from here and the customer service was great too. We definitely will be back!

I came here after reading all the positive reviews and was very disappointed. The sushi prices are average but the entrée prices are overpriced. The sushi was mediocre. The teriyaki was horrible and bland. My friend had the chicken Katsu and he stated it was great! The shrimp tempura was fresh and delicious! Service was good but it took almost 1 hr and half to get our food they ran out of rice.

Surprisingly good little sushi shop — totally laid back, understated, with very fresh fish and creative rolls. Great service too. Perfect.

Just horrible service. After placing order, we waited over ½ hour just to get our salads, which looked like they were thrown together with lettuce scraps which were mostly brown and the core. 20 minutes later, we finally got our appetizer at the same time as our main course. The only reason for 2 stars is because the sashimi was fresh. Never going here again. Blah.

Good sushi for the price! Ate there for lunch recently. Service was a little slow, but they got pretty busy. Not to make excuses for them, they should always be on top of things no matter how busy they get.

Good enough to return in the future. Food: Overall, excellent sushi. very good salmon– fresh and buttery. decent rolls but a bit small. Good miso soup. This place would survive in NY but it would not be among my top 5 picks. Ambiance: was not really too«Asian» feeling but whatever, I’m there for the food. It’s adequate and if it were a date night, you’d be fine. Lighting was just a bit too bright. I dont recall any music. Service: this is where they lost a star. the server was very nice but she was the only person there on New Years Eve waiting 8+ tables. She forgot a couple things but quickly remedied her mistake with a smile. I don’t blame her, I blame management for understaffing on a key night. Prices: a touch spendy but that’s all sushi in Denver. Two glasses of wine, a chicken teriyaki(a small one at that), a specialty roll, two pc salmon nigiri, green tea was nearly $ 65 with tip and tax.

Came in at 11:30 on Friday, expecting it to be packed from all the Unilocal reviews, but there were only 3 other tables. For so few people, service was a little slow, but not too bad. We had sashimi, the ruby roll, and the pork Katsura box. Everything was really tasty! The fish was really fresh and flavorful, and the portions were good in the box lunch. My only suggestion is to use romaine or other lettuce mix in the salad – iceberg lettuce is not worth eating. Will definitely be back to try more rolls – they have a pretty extensive list, and they have a separate list that describes what is in/on each roll. Love that!

Loved the Diablo and Caterpillar rolls, and the Nigiri was great too(my favs are tuna and yellowtail). The nigiri had plenty of fish on top with the right amount of rice. The seaweed salad was also delicious, with hints of sesame and fresh tasting seaweed. I also loved my green tea. Service was friendly and polite, and the atmosphere isn’t super fancy, but still clean and nice.

Taigun has solid, consistent Sushi at a decent price. Great atmosphere for kids and family. The lunch deals are a stand out as they have great price for value across the board from sushi deals to bento boxes. Just be wary of the lunch rush as it can get busy. Overall you cant go wrong if your getting that craving for raw fish! :)
