Bought two Epic Passes in October. Haven’t received them by January 2nd. Was told today it would be another 2 – 3 weeks. When I asked for a credit I was hung up on by rep.

Get a season pass somewhere else!!! Two years ago I auto renewed, I paid 49 dollars down and 430 later and buddy passes were 64 dollars. Now its 49 down and 530 later with no explanation or warning on the increased rates. Buddy passes are now 94 dollars what a joke. I’m still using the same pass form 4 years ago and when I asked for a new one they said it would be 4 bucks for a reprint. Vail resorts only cares about money and creating a Monopoly in the ski and snowboard industry.

One star??? That’s too nice. I ordered my epic pass for keystone and arapahoe basin. My wife’s pass was sent 3 weeks ago and never made it to our house in the mail. Each time we called, the operator keeps telling us to wait another week. Finally after 3 weeks, and no pass, we call and they tell us we have to pay $ 4 for a new pass. $ 4 isn’t much but it’s the principle. If I bought something from Amazon and it doesn’t arrive, Amazon covers it. Their bad. But the Vail customer service representative named«Mike» said to us that it’s not their fault our pass was lost in the mail. He said«Have a nice life.» to my wife. So unprofessional. We have never been mean to them once. Do yourselves a favor. Go to Winterpark.

I received an auto renewal email saying my season pass was going to renew automatically. I did not sign up for this feature. When I call the guy at vail resorts he said it was set up on the phone when I called to buy my season pass. I did not select this feature and I am bothered by this. We are in the middle of the worst drought in California and they want me to renew my season pass in March, based on a button I did not push? TALKABOUTSHADY!!! AVOID!!!

Do not click the auto renew button if you get an Epic pass. With this feature you to pay $ 50 in March to reserve next years pass at the best price — or at least that’s how they advertise it. However, if you auto renew in March, you are fully committed to paying the balance in October whether you want at that point or not. For example, you can’t cancel in July — you owe them $ 700 more regardless. $ 50 is not a deposit, it commits you fully. I didn’t know that. Not only would Vail not let me cancel, but they started sending me threatening letters suggesting I was being sent to collections.(For a pass that wasn’t active and I had not actually skied on). I had been a good customer off and on since 2006. I didn’t want it this year because my physically handicapped daughter had been accepted to the adaptive ski program at Winter Park. But I would have gone back eventually. Not now though — this has cause enough hardship that I’ll never go back. Vail was really short sighted with how they treated me(and presumably many others in the same boat.) Shame on me for trusting Vail enough to not fully read the lengthy legalese behind the checkbox when I opted for ‘auto renew’. But shame on Vail resorts for 1) advertising their auto renew as if it benefits anyone but them 2) for not clearly restating their terms in the subsequent auto renew email communications(or including a link to the full terms) and 3) for having policies that aren’t in the interest of their customers and 4) for being unnecessarily greedy. When you have a product as good as Vail, you don’t need to squeeze money out of people that way.

Vail Resorts is absolutely the worst company to their customers. They are currently charging me for something I had no idea I was being charged for and when I called to cancel the payment they refused. I talked to Managers and Supervisors about my issue and nothing was resolved. I explained to them my situation and why I was upset, but they had still refused to cancel any upcoming transactions. This is a company I have even worked hard for in previous years. I even explained to them why I was not financially able to purchase a pass this year due to personal reasons and I still got nothing from them. All they insist on doing is taking peoples money, stealing. It really is a shame after all these years that this company can’t help out their customers. Has anyone else had problems like this? Please share or let me know. Sadly Unilocal!is making me rate them with at least one star, when I would rather give them a 0 star rating.
