Zingano Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Great people, great coaches, great attitudes. My 6 year old daughter loves it, she tried all the basic activities: baseball, basketball, soccer, dance. Last thing I thought she would love to do. Glad she choose such a great sport that has a family friendly atmosphere. No egos. All the kids parents are great people also.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Zingano’s BJJ program. As a girl (yeah, I know, I’m a wuss), I was a little hesitant to start learning BJJ. I’d spent quite a bit of time training in Traditional Kung Fu, which was great for striking, but not so great on the ground. Sparring with partners much bigger than myself almost always turned into a scuffle on the mats (my fault for not keeping an eye out for tackles and take-​downs sooner).
I decided to broaden my learning curve by searching for a BJJ program. As much as I was a wuss, I was pretty damn picky — I think I went to a total of eleven different gyms. Zingano’s caught my eye right off the bat. Of course, I was skeptical of Zingano’s 30-​Days Free program. .. but you know why they give you 30-​Days free? Because after 30-​Days, you’ll realize that you’ve made the right choice — no ‘ifs’, ‘ands’, ‘or’s’ or ‘buts’ about it (honestly, it only took me a week to realize that. .. but hey, not complaining =P).
This gym, hands-​down, has the most organized class structure and program I’ve seen. To top it off, I have never been to a martial arts school or gym that develops a consistent camaraderie and culture where ALL members (not only the instructors) are willing to help each other progress. Each and every instructor here knows his/​her stuff and will do whatever it takes to get you to where you’re going.
And, if you’re not a ‘noob’ like myself, their intermediate and advanced programs are just as good. And if you are «really into training» (like the other review here mentions, but doesn’t collect on), the facility is top notch. There’s a full-​size cage, plenty of mat space, a ring, work-​out equipment, and a wall of various bags for Muay Thai and training whenever you’re free or during open gym/​mat. Just gotta’ take some initiative. =)

First of all, you really have to see this facility to believe it. It is HUGE, with a full-​size ring and full-​size MMA cage, plus a massive mat space. There is a sizable dressing room with two showers, so you can train on your lunch break or before work, and many students here do.
The head instructors are both very qualified — Mauricio Zingano is a 3^rd degree black belt who learned directly from the Gracies, and Sakmongkol is a literal legend in Muay Thai.
With classes ranging from early morning to late night, and BJJ, Muay Thai, and MMA available, there’s something for everyone. Kids classes run 5 days a week, and seem to be very popular as well.
This is not the cheapest gym in the Denver area, but like a lot of things, you get what you pay for. I’m not sure why so many reviews by satisfied customers are being filtered by Unilocal,but if you are interested in checking this place out I recommend reading some of them. I have trained here for about 6 years and I know many of the people who reviewed it, and they are all 100% reliable reviews.

My wife and I have been regular attendees for about a year now and we absolutely love this gym. Our 24 hour fitness membership is going to waste because there’s just no comparison to the personal attention that the coaches at Zingano provide. Well worth the membership cost in in personalized training alone.

It’s a jiu-​jitsy gym with a tiny Muay Thai program. It’s fine if you are a beginner and have a modest interest. It is terrible if you are really into training.
