Ordered some salmon negiri, Negihama roll, swagger roll and the Japenos. Negihama roll — straight up tasted like scalions, barely had any fish in it. I have visited this place once or twice before, but tonight we had a few issues. The service was great, and the food was good. The kitchen staff was so incredibly loud, it was disturbing. You were even able to hear them using profanity which easily carried since there were only two tables, one with two kids. We also noticed only one person out of the six wore gloves and a hat. I ordered the hibachi combo; the steak, chicken and shrimp were all handled by hand. Also my cooked shrimp was dropped onto a food prep cutting board and was picked up and placed back onto my plate. We also noticed one cook placing raw beef on top of another sealed container. It just so happened that our waitress was one of the owners who we mentioned some of the issues to. She appologized but did not fix the noise issue before we left. I surely hope this place can get their act together. I love locally owned business but food safety isn’t worth my patronage.

Absolutely loved the hibachi, sushi and service! We had several rolls the Cajun crawfish was excellent. Each one of us had a different type of hibachi. We tried steaWill return often!!! I recommend that you give them a try.

Service was good. However the miso soup not so good. The greens in the salad were sickly. Rolls were good but had better other places.

One thing Sake’tini has going for it is it’s unique décor and that’s about it. Had to wait 10 minutes to be seated when there were tables available. Hostess obviously forgot about us. Our server was the owner and she seemed preoccupied by being the owner to give us proper service. The Martini’s are over priced and admittedly made with Taaka Vodka. Really, 10.00 for a Taaka Martini? The appetizer was good, fried soft shell crabs and it was priced excellent. The rolls are extremely over priced. It’s worth the drive to Tsunami’s in Lafayette for the price and quantity that you receive. We had a party of 5 and they automatically charged us an 18% gratuity and did not tell us. The service we received was sub par and not even worth 8%. Do yourself a favor and make the drive to Lafayette before wasting your time and appetite on this place.

There isn’t many good sushi places around Lafayette/Broussard area. that being said, Sake’tini was one of the better ones around here. Unfortunately, my recent visits, I noticed new workers, and the quality of the sushi rolls were not as good as the previous visits. I really wish there were better sushi, for a reasonable price around here. But if you HAVE to have sushi, this is probably your better bet.
