Mr Ed’s Variety

This is a store my boyfriend and I like to stop at when we’re driving through Brown City. The inside is small and looks like a souped up family dollar with odds and ends. There is a decent selection of scrapbooking accessories and I tend to find good gift ideas since there are lots of yard ornaments, porcelain statues, costume jewelery, and picture frames. Last year I found a beautiful red and white vinegar and olive oil ceramic set for only $ 8.00! I also bought a stained glass coffee sign for $ 1.00. However, I was disappointed with my recent trip since I noticed a mark up in prices and hardly any new merchandise! All I ended up buying this time around was a few scrapbook items. The owners are nice, and will greet you when you walk in then allow you to browse in peace! The only part of the store I avoid is the separate room filled with collectible dolls! I may have watched too many cheesy scary movies but I think porcelain style dolls are creepy… especially a room full! The store inventory changes a lot so hopefully there will be new merchandise next time!
