em Studio Salon

Love it here. I’ve had to break up with many a salon. But e.m. is wonderful. The products, service, friendliness, and expertise is great. The stylists to tons of classes and move up in rank. This means every so often your prices increase if you’re loyal to your stylist. I’m loyal to mine… Bri is great. I’m thrilled for her when she advances. No tip salon which makes it super easy. And you can shop while you wait up front… cute jewelry, home goods, etc.

I had to find a new stylist when I moved to Brownsburg. After spending a lot of money and time at places that were either so-​so or downright terrible, I made an appointment at em Studio Salon. I was super impressed by everyone working there — this is a friendly and professional staff. I have gotten great service from both Sasha and Kylie. This is a no-​tipping salon, which I was not used to, but they ask you to refer your friends and family. My only complaint is that it can be difficult booking an appointment because they fill up so quickly. It can sometimes be a month or more before I can get in, but that does not stop me from coming back.

Good haircut and super reasonable prices. And, get this, they are a NO TIP SALON. (Have you ever heard of such a thing???) they just asked that if I liked the service to spread the word instead of tipping. Also, I’m not sure how they do it but it was very busy, yet the atmosphere was still super serene and relaxing. The décor is fabulous.

I seriously just had the best experience with Nicole! She was so sweet and listened to what I want and made me feel so welcome! It is seriously a no tipping salon. I’m truly not use to not tipping and felt so off leaving there like I forgot something. They assured me that it was fine and then offered me samples of shampoo and conditioner! I scheduled next appointment and can’t wait to go back! Did I mention the salon environment is beyond welcoming and so cute! :))

I’ve been to EM Studio Salon twice now and I was treated very well both times. I got my eye brows waxed by Ashley and they looked great. Today I got my hair cut by Kylie and she did a wonderful job. I would recommend Kylie and this Salon. It’s a beautiful place and everyone there is very friendly.

Love this place. It has taken me a very long time to find a salon I love. Jenna makes my hair look perfect every single time. This place is amazing.

Need a completely new do or just a touch up? Go see Claire. She is literally amazing. She listens to what you want, doesn’t talk to you about anything you don’t want to talk about, and is sweet as she can be! Everyone there is fun, polite, professional, and you know your getting a high-​end experience. I love the washing room — it’s dark so you can relax, and you get an AMAZING head massage while they wash your hair. Color and cut are amazing EVERY time. I have flown in from other cities just to get my hair done by Claire.
I highly recommend this place. It’s the bees knees.

I have had many high-​end stylists and salon experiences in Indy– mostly downtown and Broadripple. When it was time for a new stylist, I never even considered anywhere near where I actually live. That is until I walked by after a dentist appointment. I decided to give it a try, and a few years later my hair has never looked better. Sasha is my stylist, she is amazing– perfect mix of entertaining but not chatty and informative but not pushy. My hair looks healthy, the cut and color look great and she has helpful suggestions. I have been very pleased, also the atmosphere and professionalism is noticeably a focus for them. If you like salon drama, this is not your place– but if you like a good service, nice products and a pleasant atmosphere em is a must.

A few years ago I moved to the west side and realized I had no idea where to get my hair cut. I finally had a steady full time job so I was ready to find a nice salon to make my go to place for a haircut. I didn’t have a ton of girl friends that lived near me so I didn’t know who to ask for a recommendation. I stumbled upon E M through an internet search and decided to give them a shot, I am so glad I did!
The place is very nice inside and everyone has always been very friendly. I have never had problems getting an appointment at a time that works for me despite my sometimes strange schedule. The price is very fair as well!
I have always like what they do with my hair and the massage and shampoo are nice touches. You can tell they want you to be happy when you leave as they do not accept tips but work primarily in encouraging referrals. I have used a couple of different stylists and always left satisfied. Now if only more of my friends moved out near me I would send more people there!
Just went here again recently and it was another great experience. Bri is awesome. Also, they were super busy late on a Thursday evening so make sure you have an appointment and be prepared for a small wait, awesome that they allow such late hours for their clients.

This is a very well run salon! From the time you walk in to the time you leave, you are taken care of and allowed to «relax» and forget about all that’s on your mind. Every stylist is friendly and knowledgable and you can tell the owners (Elisha and Mary) really care about the stylist that work their. Great salon. I will return!

It is a beautiful salon. The stylist didn’t do what I asked. I hate hair in my eyes and the style she gave me constantly fell in my eyes! It did look great in the salon though. However, I was never able to recreate the look out of the salon. I told them that I am not really good with hair and need a style that is pretty much «wash’n’go». That is not even close to what I got. For the price of a style, I really expected more. I won’t be going back.

The mark of a GREAT stylist is when you leave the salon and DON’T have to go home and re-​style your hair. I left with my hair styled better than what I would be able to do on an average day, yes, but didn’t want to restyle it. Sasha did a wonderful job.
Let me start from the beginning. The ambiance of the salon is great. Chic but not too girly, plenty of product, including nail and male hair product, and local designed jewelry. LOVE IT! Sasha greeted me and shook my hand. Very warm greeting. I sat down at her chair and she went over what I wanted out of my visit. She told me exactly what she was going to do, and what solutions she could provide as far as volumizing and helping with my bangs and length.
We went to wash my hair called the «wash house». The lights were dim and the feeling was very relaxing. I even got a head massage when she was conditioning. I almost fell asleep! It was AWESOME!
Sasha was energetic and pleasant during the entire hair cut, keeping the conversation up the entire time. We talked about work, my wedding, hair, etc. The conversation never lulled! It was a great match.
After we were done, she showed me the products, but there wasn’t any pressure to buy, and she helped me schedule my next appointment. OH! And did I mention, this is a non-​tipping salon. The prices are great, especially for the services you receive. Everyone is so friendly! The salon experience without the salon prices!

Great Places! Everyone appeared professional, courteous and extremely talented. I love my cut so much I prebooked my next appoint.
