Great food, great atmosphere. The perfect place to stop after a morning of exploring Bond Falls.

Good diner. Insides are a bit tired, but the food was fantastic. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Good homestyle cooking. No frills. Plenty of food on the plate. All food cooked very well. Mexican omelette very good and can order any time of the day and made with REAL eggs, as it should be but so often these days is not. Reasonable prices. Waitress was great!!!

Decent restaurant for the area. Normal family owned restaurant feel. Decent amount of options on the menu. My club sandwich was good. They had 10 ice cream flavors so we enjoyed some of that, too. They had about 10 pie options, too, and the portions looked big! Pleasant waitress.

Stopped at this restaurant on our way to explore on a day trip from Watersmeet. The restaurant is housed in an old wood building on the west side of 45 just before the intersection of 28. We went in and up a few stairs. Told to seat our selves. Pretty simple décor. Laminate tables and padded metal stacking chairs. But it was clear there were regulars based on the table of seniors at one large table and the other patrons on first name basis with the servers and what appeared to be the cook. The 4 of us(2 couples late 50’s early 60’s) ordered 3 hamburgers and I ordered the beef open faced sandwich with mashed potatoes. It came with a soup and it was beef barley. The burgers and fries were very good as was the soup. Nice hearty flavor. The beef was excellent layered on white bread with a brown gravy all over the top. Beef was tender and clearly homemade. They also have pies– so we ordered a cherry crumble and rhubarb to go. We saw several people order the personal size pizza and it looked very good. They have larger pizzas also. They also feature a fish fry on Fridays with a variety of fish and all you can eat shrimp. Since restaurants worth visiting are few and far between on 45 between Watersmeet and Houghton it was nice to find a place that is a short drive up the road for us serving breakfast(all day) lunch and dinner. Service was very good and friendly. Food was fairly priced and served in an appetizing manner. Well worth a visit and don’t forget the homemade pies!

Great little place on Hwy 45; stopped in for a late lunch and greeted with menus and smiles. The pot roast special looked good, but not hungry enough for that. Hubby had a tuna melt and I had a hot corned beef sandwich; both were very good. We took pie to go; our server brought it to us with forks in the bag, just in case we wanted to eat it on the road. We had Dutch apple and coconut cream; wonderful!

Wonderful little place in Bruce’s Crossing. Good food, and great service. Breakfast is served all day except pancakes and French toast. Portions are big and price is small. I will definitely return.

We go to Char’s a couple of times a year when we’re in the area. It’s usually our breakfast spot. There are not a lot of restaurant options in the area so we feel lucky to have this place. The breakfasts are pretty good and I’ve had some decent soups and baked goods as well. I’ve never left hungry. I’ll be back
