A bank branch turned into a basically comfortable space near the Hannaford. The coffee is fine, but the guys behind the counter appear distracted and intoxicated at work. That’s a consistent theme in these reviews and I’m wondering when the owner is going to realize there’s a problem.

Coffee was mediocre, employees were rude and carrying on conversations inappropriate for a public work environment and man was it DIRTY, so gross. OH and WiFi wasn’t working.

We often forget about this little place tucked in front of Hannaford. It’s hard to remember with all the other businesses jumbled together down the street. So this morning after the gym since we had a gift card, I figured it would be a good change of scenery to grab coffees and a scone and hunker down to relax. The inside is always clean and orderly. The people behind the counter were helpful, but always seem offish. I noticed it a few other times here and other reviewers seem to have noticed it also. Anyways, I got a mochacino and a cranberry scone, my husband got a drip coffee. All seemed well done. No complaints. We sat and enjoyed the 20’s era music and the locals talking politics and local gossip. Another couple sat near us and had to ask the lady that was working to refrain from sweeping the entry way next to them, the dust was billowing towards them. The lady stopped but didn’t seem impressed to have to stop her job. …actually I’m now that the customer left, I’m listening to her complain(pretty sure I heard swears) to her coworker about how the customer made her stop and how annoyed she was. Wow! Let me take another star off, this is getting uncomfortable. I hope maybe a manager sees this and maybe discusses with their employees the importance of always, always being professional and that people can hear what you say from across the room. Really. And I have horrible hearing.

I like this coffee house for it’s friendliness, different types of seating and the many wonderful local characters. They have homemade pastries, a variety of coffees and homemade gelato. They are at the end of the Hannaford driveway. Plenty of parking. If you just want to have a good cup of coffee and work on your laptop or read this place supports your needs.

Decided to give the place a try even after the bad reviews. Wrong choice. It was 6:22pm when we entered and we were greeted by blank stares and no welcome. I asked if they had any gelato left-clearly noting that the gelato case was cleaned out and everything was put away — -They are open until 7pm. The employee said simply, «no» and stared at us like«get the hell out» So we left. Never to return again.

Even though a lot of the reviews regarding staff were terrible, I thought I’d try the gelato here tonight since Gelato Fiasco is closed and my best friend and I had a little time to kill. We walked in at 6:20pm(still leaving us forty minutes before the shop closed for the day). We could immediately tell we weren’t welcome… Two employees were already cleaning and putting things away and they were shooting looks at each other as soon as we pushed the door open. After we awkwardly walked by the two guys, we noticed they were all out of gelato. My friend said«do you have any gelato left?» And they responded with a curt«nope» and you could see relief wash over their faces that we wouldn’t be staying. They didn’t offer us anything else or suggest we try something different. Needless to say, we walked out and will not be trying them in the future.

The BoHo Triple chocolate was unavailable and there was a fabulous story behind it. The staff are all very friendly and interesting, and absolutely willing to make recommendations based on your feedback or expressed interests. The drinks we ended up with were perfectly delicious and the filled croissants were excellent.

Worst coffee I’ve had outside of a Denny’s which I at least expect to be gross. What a waste of $$$

Coffe is ok but there’s always this undercurrent of rudeness. Not the barista, might be the owner? I only go in if I’m short on time.

I’m giving the BoHo a 3 because it will always have a special place in my heart; however, the last handful of times I’ve been, the service and the product have been quite lackluster. Almost to a «1 star» rating. Maybe I’m just being nostalgic, but I greatly miss when the guys really cared about the coffee they crafted and the service they gave to their patrons. Now, I’m lucky if I even get my coffee in a mug when I stay in the shop. More often than not, I end up getting my latte poured in to a to-go cup in a very blasé manner, and it’s never quite as flavorful as it should be. Also, there’s one employee who seems to be a bit of a conspiracy theorist… and it’s a bit off-putting when he’s spewing his theories to his coworkers and not holding a conversation with the patron he has right in front of him.

Decent coffee, but I think this place has gone downhill in the past few years. They seem to have good drip coffee, but their espresso drinks are mediocre. Friendly staff and nice seating don’t make up for the mediocrity of the beverages. I went in craving a smoothie and their offered smoothies are made with ice cream and sugary pre-made fruit concentrate stuff, yuck! I grabbed an Odwalla from the fridge only to notice it was a day from expiring. Not very encouraging. I’ll save my business for other nicer coffee shops in town.

The employees have been rude on many occasions. It upsets me to see that all the one-star ratings have been removed from this institution… one of the employees must be flagging them. Better luck going to a different coffee shop in town were the service is much better.

This place boasts a friendly staff and excellent hot drinks and baked goods. My wife loves the extra attention they pay to creative designs in the coffee… almost too pretty to drink!

An absolute new favorite, and I’m happy to drive to Brunswick to have it. The owner is a happy, welcoming guy and the crew are attentive and welcoming. The quad-shot iced(Red eye? Black eye? I forget what it’s called after the first two shots) was brewed perfectly; smooth, bold and got me through a long active Saturday. Aside from the coffee, it’s the space itself which draws you in. There’s a huge, welcoming seated area, a nice, sunny patio to sip, slurp, study or hang-out and enjoy the breeze in, or there’s the cozy room off to the side with plush, cozy sofas; excellent for a quiet study space while having a latte, or a coffee date with a new friend. I haven’t tried their gelato but everything I’ve seen and heard points to it being incredible. Apparently it’s made by the shop itself, none of that shipped-in stuff from God knows where. Also, lots of swag available if you’re like me and tend to collect coffee house tees and mugs. I’m new to Maine and have many more coffee spots to try, but no doubt ‘the Bo’ will remain at the top of my list.

Definitely among the best cups of coffee in the Brunswick area… No frills, good coffee and pastry options and ample seating to either meet friends or hide away and get some work done. Outdoor seating as well…

i do love getting coffee and snacks here. because i’ll forever be a sucker for nostalgia. but i have to agree that it’s changed a bit since the days i look back so fondly on. gone are the baristas who always made my coffee so lovingly, and those taking their place don’t seem all that worried about it. not to mention the current scene. i went home last weekend and i saw a lady here sitting at a table with an ipad on a desktop stand. and a keyboard and mouse. on the phone. WHOAREYOU?

The coffee and pastries are okay. Nothing special, and the reviewer who noted the poor quality baristas is spot-on. I am quite used to surly or less than talkative baristas, but I expect them to really know how to make a good drink. They asked me what ratios I wanted in my espresso drinks, and to be honest I would rather a barista know what a good café au laut or cappuccino uses for ratios, rather than consult me every time. They have some nice couches and a good selection of board games in one corner of the room, but the ambiance in the rest of the store feels a little too sterile. There is really nothing bad about the place, it’s just not very striking for a small town/college town coffee shop.

A few years ago, I would have given the boho five stars without hesitation. While they still have some of the best coffee I’ve ever had, the baristas have really gone down hill. By some weird twist of fate, the owner has never been able to make espresso drinks properly, but his baristas made the boho a first class experience. The once stellar staff has all been replaced however, and none of the new guys bother to make espresso drinks properly. It might make me sound like a crazy coffee addict, but its almost offensive to have a pile of white foam unceremoniously dumped on top of my cappuccino, when every cappuccino once upon a time was carefully poured and even decorated if they weren’t busy. While most of the food has stayed the same, less care is given to the service in that regard as well — customers aren’t even ASKED anymore if they want their croissants warmed up — even the sandwich ones which clearly should be. The boho has never had the most homey atmosphere, but the stellar quality, service, and scene it attracted made it the best place around –but now it consistently dissapoints. To be fair, the coffee still tastes good, but I always leave too annoyed at the service and staff to bother going with any regularity anymore.

Great coffee drinks, made with care and great attention to detail, including artistic swirls in the foam on your latte. They make their own delicious gelato and sorbetto which is carried now in different eateries around Maine. You must try some! This is a nice place to sit down and enjoy your drinks.

Great coffee, chai, and smoothie selection. I had an amazing frozen coffee drink using a yogurt base, which was recommended by the guy working. I just wish they were open longer!
