I ordered the steak house salad. As it should be the salad was cold and the green peppers and onions were hot. The steak however was barely warm almost as they reheated the meat and cooked the peppers and onions. Food is authentic and they told us everything is homemade.
The customer service was great! We wanted to order a taco a la cart, the man said it couldn’t be done, but later showed up with a taco.
The restaurant it self is a little run down with dust on the blinds and water spots on the ceiling.
I would give the food and restaurant three stars and customer service four stars.

Awful, horrible experience. Came in with 5 people and was sat at a tiny table although there were several booths open. There was 5 of us but we were only given 3 menus. I had to get up and ask for 2 more menus and beg to be moved to a bigger table. Ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of sour cream. Didn’t get the sour cream until everyone was almost finished eating (after asking 3 times). Oh, and was out of water the entire time. Waitress didn’ seem to give a shit about any of it.

Solid two star food, but service was excellent so I pushed it up a bit. Stopped in on business travel looking for a decent meal. Decided to try some of the good. Had the hot salsa. WOW. Super hot!!! I think it was just pureed habaneros. Cheese dip was very… store bought? Asked for Carnitas fajitas. They recommended the Texas loaded… Basically chicken, steak, and shrimp covered in cheese with pepps and onion. Not good… Not Horrible! But, not good. Top Shelf ‘rita was tasty, lots of tequila in it! I prefer a better balance, but whatevs…
Main thing was the server. He was spot on, even with a table of about 30 he was also watching over. And he was the bartender. And he was the manager. And the cashier. And… Yeah, probably the owner for all I know. Either way, he was great despite the misunderstanding on the carnitas fajitas.

Decent food, good margaritas, poor service. While we were dining the wait staff sat around texting on their phones, not paying attention to customers, eating and helping themselves to the owners profits and basically about as useful as a paperweight… NOT! A paperweight is much more useful!

The best mexican food I have had in Ga.
There are certain things I judge mexican restaurants by, the cheese dip is good, could be a little spicier. The Horchata is the best I’ve had, made fresh in house, none of the powdered crap.
But most of all the Chile Rellenos. This is the dish I just all mexican restaurants by. And theirs are some of the best I have had in a long time. Two large poblano peppers stuffed with cheese, dipped in egg wash and pan fried (stems included).

This is a family friendly restaurant. The food is authentically Mexican, not the Tex-Mex that is frequently touted as such. The staff is friendly and helpful. For the evening, dinner prices are comparable to other full service restaurants in the area. Lunch prices are very reasonable.

Good food, good prices, great staff. I have been there several times and have never had a bad experience. In my opinion Chalupa’s Grill is much better than Cilantro’s. The Bruce’s Burritos are great!
