This place would have received a 5⁄5 for their great food, however… We were staying in the adjoining hotel. We had dinner last night in this restaurant. We waited approximately 12 – 15 minutes after we sat down to our seats for our drink order. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth but I will admit they were very busy. We had a very pleasant waitress give us some customer recovery and she did a fantastic job. The food was out of the world. We definitely did not expect that food quality — was very good. We had pan seared sirloin, scallops and the Millhouse burger. Then, the next morning… We walk in to discover one waitress. Maybe 6 tables full, four locals, the other two were us and another visiting couple. Again, no service for about 10 minutes. Once we had service we were greeted by a spastically rude waitress(Jessica). She took our drink orders, we informed her we were actually ready to order our food as well. She sighed and offered body language equivalent to my five year old not wanting to clean his room. After repetitive attempts to order, we received the response that«we are out of that». I inquired what they do have — ordered that, and was told I would be charged extra for the substitute(TOTHEITEM(s) THEYDIDN’T HAVE). I asked for the manager, and to no surprised, there was no manager on duty. Just go ‘olé poor mannered Jessica. We left. Went down the street for breakfast. So did the other out of town couple. Overall, excellent food but something is going on with staffing/management. Turn it up guys – you could be great. Don’t just cater to the locals, you have a high flow of hotel patrons.

Loved this place. I stayed at the connecting Holiday Inn(that was not as good of an experience) for two nights. I ate at Millhouse for breakfast and dinner both days I was there. They get very crowded at dinner. I was surprised that both the Wed and Thur night had a 30 minute wait at about 8:00pm. I am glad I stuck around. The menu is massive and fairly priced. I had the 9oz filet the first night and I was very impressed. My server Jason was extremely helpful, as well. The second night I sat at the bar and had the Smothered Chicken Prosciutto. That was phenomenal! If I am ever back in the area, I would order that again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

We were driving from MA to FL and stopped for the night at the Holiday Inn the restaurant is attached to. I was not thrilled going to a steakhouse because I’m a vegetarian p, even though my husband eats meat. I was exhausted and resigned to eating a salad. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had 3 veggie options. The Primavera was excellent and my husband loved his meatloaf dinner. The hot bread and dipping oils that were brought to the table were also delicious. Our waitress, Melissa p, was wonderful, fun, friendly and so very helpful. The price was more than reasonable. Most definitely worth the stop!

This was probably my favorite steakhouse I’ve been to in the Brunswick area. The bar was nice we started with an old-fashioned it was OK it had a little too much club soda in it for my taste. Once we got seated the hostess and the waitresses were very nice and were always on top of it. I started with the bacon wrapped scallops they were delicious and cooked to perfection the crispy bacon really had a nice texture to complement to the scallops. For dinner I had the bone in ribeye that was cooked to perfection. I decided to upgrade to the asparagus for my side, and it was well worth it. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience that I would come back to

Glad we stopped. Good food, our filet was delicious! Drink prices are crazy good! Didn’t care for the parmesean potatoes, our server bright us mashed to make up for the disappointment. They were super thick. Didn’t like the skins left in them. Place was packed, food came out in pretty good time. Oh… the gumbo was really good! Try it. The bacon wrapped scallops were also delicious.

I have been trying not give 5’s as much as I have in the past since there is always room for improvement somewhere right? Well we have eaten here a few times and never had a bad meal. The portions are huge! Even the apps which are called small plates but are meals themselves. The steaks are always cooked perfect and the sides delicious. This time I was looking for something spicy but I had already had the spicy dishes on the menu before so the waitress worked with me and we created a spicy Lo mein stir fry with sriatchi on the side. It was exactly what I wanted. Don’t be afraid to ask to substitute or even create your own meal I have read some reviews about the service and we have had a server be a little forgetful for some things but we get our food very fast every time. For cost to value to taste this place is hands down a 5 and the best place we have eaten at with all of those things considered.

A client recommended this place and I could see why as soon as I walked in. It’s definitely the place to be. There was a pretty good wait at 8pm on a Tuesday. I ordered the Gorgonzola Sirloin with mashed potatoes and buffalo chicken wrap to go. Only took about 20 minutes and it was cook perfectly. The hostesses were nice and the server who helped me was fantastic with a bubbly attitude.

I was staying at the attached Holiday Inn and ate here on a Tuesday night. I couldn’t get a single seat at the bar until nearly 8 which was kind of crazy. This place has the most locals I’ve ever seen at a hotel restaurant. I had the 12oz prime rib with the daily vegetable. I was pretty hungry and devoured it with no complaints. It was nice to get both the au jus and horseradish to dip in. Overall the service was quick and I don’t have any complaints other than it was too crowded around 7.

We’ve eaten here several times when traveling back and forth from central Florida. The food and service is always good. Carl and Kristen at the bar make us feel like regulars. Tonight we had the Mahi Cajun style and the ribeye steak and both were prepared perfectly. We recommend this restaurant to all our friends when they are traveling.

We walk away more than satisfied every time we eat at the Millhouse. The steaks are amazing and you don’t even need to use a knife. The service was quick and accurate. Look forward to going back.

I would check in here, however I was 1 minute to late for any kind of breakfast. I mean at least say, gosh, I am sorry. Want a coffee to go? Instead I get a, yep, closed, one minute ago, you coulda had eggs and grits, but not now that it is 60 seconds later! To bad customer and hotel patron! And then I got the olé, have a great day! Oh, ok, sure will Ms. Hostess. As soon as I find somewhere else to grab that coffee I missed out on! Oh, could you wipe your mouth? You have grits and crumbs in the corner of your mouth…

Good was okay. What stood out the most was the slow service. It took a long time to be waited on & even longer to get the food. The bill though came quickly. I won’t be going back.

After more than 5 hours on the road, Millhouse is recommended by our hotel along with a copy of their menu. «Stevie», our server seemed genuinely proud to be there along with her associates at the front desk and those who brought our meal to us in a pleasant, professional way. My wife and I shared what we think is a chef signature dish not available to catered events. Pasta Piccata A La Roma. Heaven sent. Hot. Tasty. Special. Ended our day on a high note. Will return next time we’re anywhere near this establishment what acts like it’s competing in a major metro area.

We are in Brunswick for a few days and saw Millhouse Steak House as a local favorite. The menu is huge. The steaks are delicious and cooked to perfection. The inbone ribeye was enough for two which also makes it a good price. Our waitress Mercedes was wonderful!

Drink was OK. When I asked for a menu, the bartender never came back. I left my bar tab for the drink and got a big attitude from the bartender. Went down the road to a friendlier place and had a very nice meal and was waited on by someone that appreciated the business.

We had a late arrival in town and stay at the Holiday Inn which is attached to the Millhouse. Only 4 beers to choose from and the kitchen was closed when we arrived so I didn’t get a chance to try the food. Bartender(Carl) provided good service, I would come back and try the food. 3 stars for the beer selection.

It was a Friday night, and a group of us wanted steaks. Real steaks. I pulled this place up on Unilocal, and found that it was close and highly rated here on Unilocal. We had a party of 4 and arrived around 7 o’clock that night. We put our names on the list to be seated and were advised that it would be about 40 minutes. We decided to wait it out, as the place was obviously small and packed. We took that time to review the menu while we waited and man oh man do they have a lot of options. Our party was seated in about 30 minutes, and our waitress was right at our table in no time. Since we already knew what we wanted to order we were able to get our food order in right away. Everyone ordered different steaks, and the most common side was mashed sweet potatoes. They offer«Happy Day» instead of happy hour! They had the most incredible, extensive, and inexpensive drinks specials I’ve seen in a while. My house glass of merlot was $ 2, and it was a full glass of wine. It took about 5 mins for our drinks to come back from the bar. After placing our orders, the side salad came out first and came out about 10 minutes after placing the order. The Cesar salad was really tasty, and did not come with croutons, but I was able to use the free bread to make my own. Not long after we finished with our salads our main course arrived. STEAK! I got the rib eye cooked medium with a side of sweet mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and extremely juicy. This is the best steak I’ve ever had in Brunswick! The mashed sweet potatoes weren’t like every other version I’ve had. This place found a way to make it a decadent. We didn’t get a chance to try any of the desserts because we were stuffed from the amount of food they give you. My steak as about $ 20 and took up half of the plate. Huge portions and great prices. Our entire group raved about how great this place is. We will be back for sure.
