When a business refuses to honor their warranty, they are a business that should not be trusted. If they would repair a damaged part and sell it back to the owner(with an additional labor charge) would they recommend an uncessary repair? Would they access sensitive financial data? I don’t know, for these reasons I cannot recommend their services. On 11÷30÷15 I took my damaged 1 mo old computer to WGA. The options presented were repair my damaged metal parts and replace the touchscreen with a used part. Or, replace with all used parts. I requested new parts but that was not available from Lenovo because the model was so new. I stated that if it was necessary, I would be willing to pay a higer price for parts that were in excellent condition. I was informed that all parts came with a 90 day warranty. 3 of the 4 parts were located in excellent condition. The lid, that was attached to the touchscreen, had a very large scratch. It was agreed that the parts would be replaced, I would pay all services to date and prepay $ 78 for a lid to be located. I agreed to an additional labor fee of $ 60 once a lid was located. I explained to Norman, the owner, that I was not in a hurry. It was more important that he find an excellent part. In Janurary I received a call from Norman that they had received a lid in excellent condition. The day that I was to pick up the computer I receiced a call from the technician. the glue applied to the left corner failed to seal. More glue was applied but it required an additional day to cure. When the repair was completed after paying the final charges my total was $ 600 for all repairs. After much discussion, I finally received the box of damaged parts that were promised to me in December. 8 days later I noticed a small crease in the metal on the left corner. I studied that corner and realizes that this lid had suffered the same damage as my original lid in the same location. I retrieved the box of parts from the closet and realized that my original damaged lid was not in the box. The temporary lid was in it’s place. After confirming with Norman that the lid was not in the possession of WGA, I explained that I felt that someone at WGA repaired my lid and sold it back to me for the prepaid $ 78 plus the additional labor charge of $ 60. His reply was«Well, I would hope not». WGA located another lid and completed the repair again. Unfortunately, they damaged the touchscreen to the point of constant erratic behavior. I sent 2 registered letters to Norman explaining the damage to the touchscreen. The first letter arrived prior to the expiration of the 90 day warranty of the original repair. I received no reply. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, they were also ignored. Currently the State Attorney General is attempting to interceed.

This review is a tad late. Like two years late. As I had an issue that needed attention it gave me a chance to once again see how these guys are dedicated to doing things right. Kevin did such a thorough job in his review I’m not going to write a lot, but suffice it to say I will not go ANYWHERE else for computer help. People are professional, pleasant and prices reasonable. These guys are great.

You know that sinking feeling? You switch on the laptop and… Nothing. No whirring hard drive, no fan, no porn chat pop-ups. Yeah, that’s not good. Unless. You head on over to the great guys at WGA.(I had to list this under«Shopping» and then under«Computers;» I guess Unilocal folk never need computer repairs? Is that why there’s no «Computer Repair?») I was seriously considering dumping Old Lights-Out Sticky Keys and buying something new. I don’t like to toss things that might still have value, so I took it in to WGA. They showed me their«menu pricing» brochure, and I was astounded. For around one-fifth what I was going to spend on a NEW laptop they: * Bench tested the beast * Did a diagnostic scan and removed a bunch of crud * Provided AND installed a NEW larger, faster, more handsome hard drive * Copied over ALL my files * Cleaned six years of filth and schmoogg from the innards. And the outards. * Got me back on the road in about 18 hours, start to finish. I sure wish more people offered such great service; the landfills of the planet would be less full, our collective pockets and purses would be more full, and Dean and Norm at WGA would be even busier than they already are. Thanks for some superb service. They do a whole bunch of other things, too, but repair is all I’ve experienced so far. (They have three different levels of pricing, too: cheapest is you bring it there, drop it off. Next, they’ll come out to YOU, do the proper shut-down, all that, take it in for the repairs and bring it back to your casa for full restoration to service. Third: They’ll come over, sit there for however long it takes, look out the window during the hours-long scans. I’d pick door number one, Bob.)
