Allure Salon

I love this place! It has taken me a while to find a salon I am happy with here in B/​CS, naturally I will have found one months before being done with school… but that’s beside the point.
I have been to Jennifer for both hair and make-​up. Jennifer does a wonderful job on both! I just went in for a wash, haircut/​trim with some layers and blowdry style and I loved the way it turned out. Definitely plan on going back to her for the next one!
She also recently did my makeup for my wedding last week! She and another stylist, Maghan, traveled to meet us on location and did a phenomenal job on both me and my bridesmaids! They were attentive to exactly what I wanted and we all looked and felt beautiful for the big day.
Lastly, this may not matter as much to some people, but the location and setting of the salon is nice too. It’s just a quick drive from the campus but out of the way of all the hustle and bustle. It is located in a cute old house with some modern touches inside, it is nice and cozy!
The only ‘tip’ I might give is to really slow down when you get close, the sign is not very large and could be easily passed by.

I was having a hard time finding a good fit for a stylist in the BCS area, found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. I am sooo glad I did! They’re a little hard to find because it’s a little house converted to a salon, but it’s awesome. Jennifer was my stylist and did a beautiful job as well as working me in last-​minute to help me with special occasion hair styling/​makeup the following weekend. She listened to what I wanted and made sure I was very happy with the outcome, and even walked me through the styling techniques as she was doing them so I could give it a try at home.
Prices are absolutely reasonable, especially for what you get. I plan on coming here for awhile.

I’ve been going to Tara for at least five years. I live in Houston now, but I’ll still make the trip to see her and spend time in College Station. I’m super picky when it comes to hair stylists and whenever I’ve tried going to someone else I always leave unhappy. So, yes she really is worth the drive! I’m also not very good a describing what I want, but Tara nails it every time! The salon is a fun atmosphere and you can tell everyone enjoys working with each other.

I’ve had my hair cut here twice, by Tara, and I’ve been extremely pleased both times. My biggest pet peeve in finding a hair stylist is sitting down in the chair and having them look either confused or disinterested when I explain what I want. Tara gave me several options and I was very happy with the end result!

The place is a bit hard to find since it is in a small house on college. In side they have fixed up the house to look like a modern day salon with unique art. Everything is very clean, which is very important to me. The towels do NOT smell like mold. The stylists are all great, with my favorite being Tara. I am trying to grow out my hair and she hs made my hair a joy. She is very kind and always makes me laugh. In fact, no one there treats you like a stranger and they all love what they do. I think this is an excellent place to try. If you cannot find them right away, give them a jingle and they get you there very easily. The price of a cut, shampoo, and style is economical compared to some of the places prices nowadays.
Oh, and there is no «level» for each stylist, which I always thought was silly of other salons. Why treat new stylists any different then the ones who have been there longer? That just creates tension, and more money out of pocket for the customer.
I have been looking for someone who can cut my hair for ten years, and now I have found her. Yay!

So I’ve never returned to the same stylist twice… in my life… until I found Kyndal. She’s awesome… and I’m REALLY picky… i’ve yet to leave her chair and not be completely happy… and I usually leave it up to her on what to do with my hair. She’s a color genius AND she’s got great style.

Ave and it’s an adorable little house… the owner has great interior design skills… it’s like walking into a real life pinterest board and i love it.
It is pricey… but I’d rather pay the price than be disappointed with a coloring or cut. Also, if you want Kyndal to do your hair… you need to book weeks in advance… she fills up quickly… especially for evening appointments.
