When you’re moving out of yet another building for the eighth time in six years, it gets harder and harder to bribe friends and family members to help you haul things down from your third-floor apartment. Enter Bellhops. I knew my dad and I would need extra help with heavier items, so I called a few different places in town and was quoted high prices for a minimum number of hours that was much longer than I’d need anyone for my one-bedroom apartment. When I found Bellhops, I was hesitant at first since the website requires you to make a small deposit($ 1) on a credit card to place your reservation. However, someone quickly followed up with me, confirmed my movers, and stayed in touch throughout the whole process. On the day-of the movers, Justin and Leon, arrived exactly when expected and were helpful and friendly. They were so eager to load up my truck they even accidentally grabbed a couple of my roommate’s things, haha. The entire process was quick, easy, and painless– once they finished, I immediately received an email asking me to confirm the amount of time they worked. You’re able to tip via the website too, which was nice since I didn’t have any cash on hand and the guys definitely deserved it. I’d recommend going through Bellhops in a heartbeat.
