I’m making lumpia and am new to BCS, so I came here after all the good reviews. I love this little store. The nice man there saw me carrying several items and brought me a basket, then helped me find everything I needed. I will be coming back here and often!

The best Korean market College Station has to offer. It may be small and packed, but the food there makes up for it. The kimchi there is also excellent! And the owners are so sweet and welcoming. They have really good customer service and will try to help you in any way possible and give great recommendations if you’re not sure on what to buy. I’ve been there a couple of times and each time, I felt welcomed and satisfied with my purchase. I highly recommend people to come here! :)

I went the other day to buy Soju and other foods. And the owner was really nice to me and my friends. He even gave me free shot glasses with the Soju! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for great Korean food!

Well, I stopped here a few days ago. Much smaller but more packed than BCS Asian Market, but also substantially cleaner. The packaged food looked less questionable, as well. However, it was a bit cramped, they didn’t have any shelf-stable mochi(all frozen), and they don’t accept credit cards. Still, worth a return trip.

If you need some Kimchi, go here. They make their own. We have tried a jar and it was excellent. The majority of what you will find here caters to the Korean foodies. I did find some bottles of Japanese hot sesame oil and three spice pepper. Good variety of ramen as well, with some unusual flavors that you won’t find at the large BCS in CS. As Ed mentioned the seafood freezers; You will find a selection of seafood with a variety unlike your average grocery store. This is also a good place to buy phone cards for discount rates when calling overseas /Asia. I’ve used several of their USA cards for dirt cheap rates to Canada, Mexico, Germany, Japan, UK. While they do accept credit cards for food and kitchen item purchases, the phone cards are cash only. This is a fun store. The outside sure could use some paint, and I dunno, maybe a new sign that you can read? :) This is family owned and operated and we do enjoy poking around in here now and then. Friendly staff.

Oriental Market is a tiny Korean store on Texas Ave in a nondescript building most people pass by without noticing. The store has a decent assortment of Korean sauces and ramen. They offer a few pots, woks & utensils. They might have a few Japanese items, but nothing caught my eye. There are a couple of freezer displays with seafood items, but nothing I needed. They do have that Vietnamese Sriacha ‘rooster’ sauce, and the giant gallon jars of that Indonesian Sambal Oleck thick chile sauce. I ended up trying a few Korean ramen flavors I hadn’t tried before. The much larger BCS Asian Market in College Station has everything this place has and much, much more. I suppose if I knew this place stocked a given item I wanted, or I was right there, I’d come here without hesitation. Otherwise I prefer BCS Asian Market.
