Worst experience I have ever had at an ihop. Spent 30 minutes waiting for pancakes I ordered to go after they said it would be ready 10 minutes before I got there when I called and ordered ahead of time. I am going to just cook my own breakfast next time

I finally convinced my wife to give this place a shot. We normally go to Denny’s where one of our favorite servers works, but they were slammed, so to speak, and we moved on. This might be one of my top 5 worst eating experiences in my nearly 70 years of eating. After waiting a considerable amount of time and sipping horrible coffee, the food finally arrived and they totally botched my wife’s order. She sent it back and in the meantime I finished my so-so omelette. Mine wasn’t bad, but I think this is a place where you just eat pancakes wtih a LOT of whipped cream, from what I saw looking around. Anyway, I finished all of mine and we were still waiting for her order and we finally gave up. There seemed to be a throng of servers waiting for food, so maybe the cooks were on strike… I have no idea. At any rate, we got up and left and I asked to pay for mine, but forget my wife’s. A young lady who might have been the manager apologized and said not to worry about paying, so THAT is in their favor, but we will not be returning here, for sure. Again, if you like a very unhealthy breakfast and don’t mind waiting, maybe their pancakes covered with sugary confections would be ok.

Okay, I’d like to begin by saying that I’ve worked in food service for the past 5 years and understand the hardship of service. This has by far been the absolute worst customer service as well as meal of my life. First off, don’t get the splashers due to the overwhelming diabetic coma it might induce from the syrup put into it. I ordered the split decision meal, only sausage for my protein and decided to up charge for waffles with some bananas and pecans only on top. I notified her of my lactose intolerance and to please not add the cream that usually accompanies these toppings. What I received was a soggy waffle doused in a disgusting excuse for cream and brown(not from baking) bananas. I also was given bacon instead of sausage only and my french toast was no where to be found. Keep in mind I received this meal after 30 minutes of patient waiting when there was only 5 tables and 5 waiters present. My boyfriend ordered a coffee which when the airpot was empty(we even opened it along with setting it and the mug by the edge of the table) was never refilled. His food was mediocre at best. He ordered a ham and cheese omelette as well as a stack of blueberry pancakes. The overall meal was awful; I mean my standards when it comes to IHOP is not extraordinarily high however I expect a decent meal for the price. Extremely disappointed, disgusted, and deprived of a decent dinner.

I don’t even know why we go back. We have been twice before and now all three time have been absolutely horrible. Our waitress this time got our order quickly then it took 45 minutes to get it. Everyone in our area who got there after us got their food but we had to wait. We had to flag down another waiter to even get ours to come back. She came by our table then and gave us our food. Cold and wrong why would it be any other way. She takes half the food back to get it remade and the manager came by to tell us the excuse and to offer to make it better his way of making it better was a discount of $ 3.06. I don’t need a discount I need my food to be correct and to get it in a decent amount of time. It was not that busy. After the manager visited with us our waitress from then on was just rude rude rude. We tried to give this place not one chance not two chances but three and this seems to be the norm here. We will not be returning. Not worth rude waitresses and cold food.

Love IHOP and so does my family. Always make the mistake of going on a Sunday morning! Always crowded at that time but they move traffic fairly well. This location it seemed very slow on getting our food out to us. My daughter found two hairs in her french toast. They were very good about replacing it but… Slowwww. All in all, still like going to the ‘hop.

If you’re in any kind of hurry(like, it’s July and you want to make sure you make it to your New Years Eve party on time), avoid IHOP. They are not only slow, they are Sha-loooooooooooowwwww! I understand waiting for a table, especially on Sunday morning, but once seated, it should not take ANHOUR to get your food. It was good and all, and the wait staff are as accommodating as they can be, but wow. Invest some money to pay the cooks enough to motivate them to speed things along! Ridiculous!

After 5:00pm AVOID! We stopped for pancakes & eggs on Saturday — 1÷24÷15 … not one thing ordered was made properly. Coffee tasted like the pot or the machine hadn’t been cleaned in months, cook had no idea how make a Ham&Cheese omelette, toast was like a rock, hash browns cold, pancakes cold! Service was awful! AVOID!

Upon entering, the foyer smelt like it had been mopped with a dirty bathroom mop. The waitress was sweet and helpful. I was given the option of chicken tortilla soup and minestrone. I chose chicken tortilla. When it was brought to me I had to do a double take. Such a shallow serving. I’m pretty sure it was about 3 ounces and it was cold and it wasn’t chicken tortilla. It was an almost clear yellowish soup with a few black beans and one tiny piece of chicken the size of a pencil eraser. Then the food was brought out. My daughter’s hash browns were burnt. My beef tips were burnt dry, mushroom and onions were also burnt. My husband’s food was also cold. My son’s pancakes were ordinary. And my daughter’s pancakes were cold. My toast tasted like it had been basted with burnt oil. We all regretted visiting this location. The location on university drive has a much better cook. And the food is always fresh and hot. I feel bad for the waitress. It wasn’t her fault.

HORRIBLESERVICE!!! Like really horrible service. Food was mediocre at best. Scrambled eggs in kids meals was literally the size of a half deck of cards and looked like egg substitute. Salad was ok, but I had to remind them of the ingredients so they could bring me them. What a WASTE of money!!! Go to Denny’s instead. We will never spend our money here again.

Waited for over an hour and a half when there were *at least* 15 open full tables when we got inside. On a Sunday morning too, when they should be on the top of their game. When our name was finally called the waitress was busy chatting with her coworkers and didn’t even notice us for a good 10 minutes. When she seated us she was rude and inconsiderate. Then there’s the food, half was overlooked and half was undercooked and no waitress seemed to want to be accommodating to any needs the customer had. Go to the college station IHOP, the most incompetent staff is at this IHOP, never coming here again.

My experience was not that great. Bacon was half burnt and tasted like it had been cooking in old burnt grease. Waitstaff wasnt ghetto and unfriendly. Then I got done eating my food and noticed a black hair in my last french toast. When I addressed it to the waitress she didnt say anything, took my plate and rolled her eyes. The cook came out and told me it was a banana string. I clearly can tell the difference between a banana«string» and a black hair. im not an idoit. After that I was letting my daughter finish her breakfast then I could hear my waitress and another talking about the incident. Needless to say she ruined her tip. They did offer to remake it but by that time I had already eaten half and was full. No discount was offered. I will not be going back.

Absolutely the worst most pathetic excuse of an IHOP. Went there late one night like most patrons of IHOP would do when traveling to a new city. My wife, pregnant, and daughter were with me. We got seated in a timely manner and then were waited on. Daughter ordered fruit and yogurt and wife ordered a latte prior to meal. When these two items came out they began to eat. Yogurt I opened for daughter and it was about a month OUTOFDATE. The latte that my wife drank to about halfway before noticing that UNDER… NOTONTOP of the whip cream there was a DEADFLY. At this time our food is being brought out to the table by our waitress and what looked a table boy. At this time we informed her what had happened thus far with our food. Informed them that we would be leaving and wanted to speak with the manager on duty in the front. When we proceeded to get up and walk to front lobby to speak to manager. Bus boy or something thought he could accuse of of walking out on the ticket. I then informed him we would not be paying for the food and our server was aware and getting a manager. This establishment is the worst excuse for an IHOP. I thought about calling the District manager, but knew that would be a waste of time. This restaurant with employees and management that allow issues like that will not be around for long no matter what the sign on the front says.

Dear Ihop, I’m sorry I put you out by walking in the door. What poor form. Even worst, I feel just dreadful for then flagging down a server after my 5 minutes of waiting ungreeted. I’m sorry for requesting my drink and food as I did because a good chap would have been content sitting in a booth with his thoughts, you know. I hope it makes up in some small way that I ate my food even when it differed from my order. Also I hope, in some small act of contrition, I sat with an empty drink even as I saw several members of your wait staff jabbering beside the kitchen service entrance. I don’t mean to be such a horrible inconvenience and please take me at my word that I promise to leave you alone and keep on driving next time I even think of bothering you. Most Sorry, Thomas C

Well, I have been to ihop a lot… service is hit or miss. For instance… I ordered hot chocolate once and the server brought me some sort of nasty«special» coffee drink they had… problem is I despise coffee, so I almost threw up on the spot. Pretty disgusting. They frequently cannot follow directions… I order scrambled eggs with cheese SCRAMBLEDINTOTHEEGGS and the winner in the kitchen ignores that and just sets a couple of pieces of cheese on top of my eggs. This has happened on multiple occassions, so I don’t know if they literally do not know how to scramble the cheese INTO the eggs or if they’re just beeing obstinate about it. Many times, my drink glass will be empty and three or four servers will walk by my table multiple times(seeing the empty glass because I saw them look over at it) and I never get a refill. Once our food is there, it seems our server just disappears after that. I’m not sure what’s up with that. Anyway, there have been other times the service was great, but that’s usually only when one or two specific servers are working. We usually go to this one because the students will fill up the one in college station and camp out there for a few days at a time so no one else can go in and eat and no, I did not do that when I was a student here.

I know, it’s a chain, which is breaking my rule of not eating at chain restaurants when traveling BUT it was the only place open and I took a gamble. I’m glad I did. This turned out to be the best Ihop experience I’ve ever had. Service was excellent, speedy and hot food delivery, very clean tables, floors and booth. I had nothing fancy, it’s ihop, so I won’t even list the food. But giving props where it’s needed, in customer service. My waitress Laquisha was top notch. Good job ihop Bryan Texas.

It’s about what you expect from an IHOP. Food is fine but not great. The unusual thing about this particular IHOP is that there seems to always be a loud verbal confrontation between a server and someone else, usually a cook, another server or a manager. It happens either near the POS stations or on the entryway to the kitchen, which makes it echo through the whole restaurant. They need better management.

Well, my experience at iHop was better than Mike’s! However, Upon arrival, a foul smell hit us as we walked through the doors. We almost left immediately. It smelled like a daycare… But the staff was nice and greeted us with a smile. I ordered the pancakes and they were good as ever. The only problem with what I ordered was the greasiness of the hashbrowns… Try this iHop out(preferably when it’s busy!)
