The Patty Melt is fantastic, and waitresses are all very nice! Would highly recommend for late night food. Ask for Veronica’s section of you go late night!

Super country, laid-back feel. The staff was very fast and friendly. I got here about 7:00 am for breakfast and loved having a kind server. I got a «pancake sandwich»(eggs & bacon between two pancakes) and it was great! It’s a really decent size and filled me up for most of the day, but so worth it :) A great choice for a down-home breakfast experience.

This place is quirky and outdated, but I must admit, I enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and fun and the food was definitely good. We didn’t want to go to IHOP or another typical chain when we chose to try the Kettle and we were glad we did! I had a patty melt and fries and my friend had a pile of biscuits, gravy, eggs and sausage– seriously, it was all piled together under the gravy. Both were great!

We dine out more than we should, and we have gone here on several occasions when wanting one of the late breakfast or dinner«breakfast» meals, usually Saturday and Sunday mornings. It is always good food, large portions and they have very nice employees. Have never had a bad meal, always have to to get to-go box simply because of the large portions. I’d compare this Kettle to both the IHOP and Cracker Barrel in Bryan! EXCEPT the portions are larger and staff are much nicer. Will be back!

Why go to boring old IHOP when you can come here! The staff is very nice(they were able to accommodate our party of 25 when we rolled in for brunch at 2pm one Sunday. I got the chicken fried steak with eggs, hashbrowns, and french toast(I was hungry…) and it was all delicious!

Came in 6:30am and they were ready to seat us and help right away. Bacon, french toast, waffle all fresh and seemed well prepared. My eggs were a little less scrambled than I like but they hustled, kept glasses full and checked in without overwhelming. A lot to be said for good customer service.

The food is good. It’s real and country. I ordered the Eggs Benedict-type item and it was delish. The service wasn’t.. . amazing, but they got the job done. It was like the type of country restaurant you see in movies.

Horrible service. I paid around 8 dollars and wasted about 45 minutes of my time for one of their famous chocolate waffles. It was horrible service, and the waitress only had one other table. I was staying at the Manor Inn, so it was convenient. Also, the waffle was delicious.

What can I say? It’s the kettle. The food’s OK, but not great. The coffee is OK, but not great. The service has always been great for me, though, and, of course, they’re open 24⁄7. Breakfast is better than most other restaurants of the sort, though– I’ll take the Kettle over Denny’s or IHOP any day.

This place is open 24 hours and is awesome! The food is good and portions are big. Also, the restaurant has great atmosphere. Whenever I go the waitresses are helpful and provide great service. One of them even offered to go outside to take a picture of my friends and I in front of the restaurant. Also, I really like the view from the windows here. There are large windows with a great view of Texas Ave. I like to watch the cars go by when I study.
