I can’t say enough about this little gem! The room was spotless, and even smelled good. The lobby is welcoming and has games, books, and DVDs you’re welcome to use. They even gave us a welcome bag that had a bottle of water, fruit, and a snack bar. I know this sounds crazy, but they could easily be charging more than they are. This was our favorite place during our 10 day trip to New England from Il. Don’t hesitate to stay here just because it’s 10 miles from the highway. It’s well worth it.

Really nice place! Judy, the housekeeper is really nice! Rooms are clean and probably the biggest we’ve stayed in so far(returning from a trip to Colorado from upstate NY). Comfortable beds and lots of old fashioned amenities — when was the last time you saw a «Sanitized for your protection» paper band around the toilet? Highly recommend, and would come again One word of advice: the town rolls up the sidewalks at 9pm. We came in late and almost didn’t get dinner last night.

I stayed at this hotel recently, because it was a cheap choice. It advertises Wi-Fi and breakfast, and I could not hook up to the Wi-Fi and there was no breakfast. They did not seem to be helpful nor do they care. There was a new girl there and she said all well I’m sorry I can’t help you. The woman that runs the place was not very helpful and borderline rude when I push the matter. Wont be staying here again.

What a pleasant surprise! I have family in Bryan and Blakeslee, so I had stayed in this motel before when I was younger(and there wasn’t any room in a relatives house for us). That was before the renovations, and I wasn’t quite impressed. Even then, it had a nice small town feel and friendly service. I came back in November of 2013 with my boyfriend, road tripping down here to visit my dad. Neither of us were expecting much– it does look a little dinky from the outside, sort of a classic motel vibe. But the staff were super accommodating– I called ahead to see if they would match the price I found on Kayak(hint: most hotels will do this, since they get screwed on rates if you go through a site like Kayak or Travelocity), and they agreed. That was great– but it would honestly have been worth the extra thirty bucks! First: the rooms. Ours had a Queen bed along with a smaller twin bed on one side of the room. That actually served as a nice place to stow our stuff. There was plenty of storage, it was very clean and the housekeeping was exceptional. We were there for three days and were consistently happy with the attitude and frequency of housekeeping. The beds were comfy and the shower hot. Plus free cable and wifi, who can beat that? :) The staff: awesome! Family owned place, and it shows. Personalized service– there was a huge rainstorm forecasted in the area, and the hotel manager offered us blankets, flashlights, and a radio just in case. Both staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The breakfast nook was incredible– lots of options. Fruit, pastries, veggies, toast, good coffee and tea. Always well stocked, and the conversation with other guests was always nice. It’s also in walking distance to the local Chief market and other similar places(Tom Horton’s, etc.) — I know we had a lot of fun just bringing some junk food and beer back to our room for a night in after a long day of travel. Highly recommended. I will stay there again!

Great little family run motel. I stayed overnight on the way to Cedar Point and it was a good experience. The location is actually good for the area(right down the street from Wal-Mart, grocery stores, and several restaurants). The only issue I had was the first set of keys did not work because the door battery was dead. The front desk person took care of it right away and there were no other issues. The place feels very homey. The tvs are a little older, but it had a lot of channels. The bed was actually very comfortable and the sheets seemed pretty clean. The ac system on the side worked well, but it was a little loud. Overall, this is the place to stay in Bryan and I would definitely go back.

From the road the Plaza Motel doesn’t look like much and you’d be forgiven if you drove by and went to a chain motel instead. But if you did you’d be cheating yourself of a very nice stay at a locally-owned and operated independent motel. I was in a deluxe room with 2 double beds. The room was up to date and very spacious and clean. The a/c works great. There’s room for a small desk, and a round table with 2 chairs. There’s an older tv with a dvd player. Dvds are available at the front desk or you can bring your own. Lots of channels available on cable so it’s great for the kids too. There’s a mini kitchen with sink, microwave and mini-fridge. The bathroom has 2 sinks that are handicap accessible and separate from the shower/toilet area. The shower/tub has great water flow and lots of hot water. For the kids they even thought of a rubber ducky for them to play with while taking a bath! Towels are nice and fluffy and soft. Beds are girm but very comfortable. The sheets are nice quality and smell nice and fresh. The room was very clean. All rooms are non-smoking. Ice machine was just Round the corner as well as a laundry area There is obvious pride in ownership apparent in this motel. As much as I am on the road I’ve stayed at a lot of places and this motel rates as one of the best. Not a whole lot in the way of amenities, though you do get free use of the Bryan YMCA, but what’s here is well taken care and clean. I definitely plan pn staying here again next time I come to Bryan!
