I went and saw Dr. McPherson a little over a year ago because I was having what seemed to be really bad anxiety attacks and kept feeling as though I couldn’t breathe. My mother has asthma so Dr. McPherson jumped the gun and told me she thought it was not anxiety but that it was a form of asthma. No testing was done. She wrote me a script to go be tested for asthma AFTER I try a SAMPLE of Breo Ellipta(a steroid that is inhaled) for two weeks. I was also prescribed a canister of Albuterol. Well within 48 hours I was in the emergency room because I felt as thought my throat had closed entirely. Nobody in the ER was familiar with Breo Ellipta and they told me to immediately stop taking it. They did some asthma testing there and I was testing negative. They sent me to see a pulmologist on the Main Line(the same one my mom sees). He was shocked she gave me Breo Ellipta to take. 1. I tested negative for asthma. 2. ITS A MEDICATIONUSEDFORCOPDPATIENTS. 3. It is specifically not to be given to asthma patients. I saw a new doctor, she diagnosed me with anxiety and I have been doing great ever since. I have looked into suing McPherson for medical malpractice. She has not idea what she is doing.

Dr. McPherson is my primary for over four years. I chose her after hearing great things from a few of her patients. She has great reputation. Dr. McPherson is a good listener and a great motivator. Only after meeting her I was able to turn around my bad eating and(lack of) activity habits. She motivated me to start eating more healthy and to start exercise more often. Thanks to her, I was able to drop my cholesterol significantly without rushing into medications. Combined with a friendly front desk staff, I have had great experience in each of the visits to her office. I highly recommend Dr. McPherson.

A very pleasant and caring doctor. Good communications, great staff. Always willing to take her time with me as a patient. Very thorough follow up and she will call to check on progress.

Will update later, but not thrilled. And Neeters m. Is totally right! Dr. McPherson isn’t up to date on the newest medical advances and health guidelines. And I found her to be condescending at times too!

I have seen Dr. McPherson twice, both times based on instructions from another health care provider to see my GP for additional testing and treatment. Both times she completely ignored the concerns of the other health care provider and advised no testing or treatment. The second time I suspected that her advice was misinformed and after researching the issue on PubMed and in the publications from the World Health Organization(WHO) I found that her information was 100% incorrect and her advice in direct contradiction to WHO guidelines. She put me and my unborn child at risk by her woeful lack of education. To top it all off, she was tremendously condescending despite the fact that I have Ph.D. in a biomedical science and work as a medical writer. If you value your safety stay away from Dr. McPherson.
