The pizza is good but it’s the other items on their menu that are better. Cheeseburger Hoagie — yum! Gyro Platter — nice! Buffalo Chicken Wrap — good! This place reminds me of typical hole in the wall pizzerias that you’d find in depressed cities. Dark, dreary. There’s seating up a couple of stairs with a TV. Tiny little restroom. We only sat up there while we waited for our order.

Average pizzeria. Take out six packs and not so good pizza. Convenient location next to bars. Not open very late so don’t wait until 2 am to get your food after going to maloneys pub. Dominoes is however open after bad close.

I’ve only had their pizza once, and it was decent. However, the shining star food is the simple stuff that hits the spot for lunch. The BLT is great, bacon always perfectly cooked, and the Caesar chicken wrap is delicious. The salads are pricey but you get a large serving for. Overall, try something that isn’t pizza, and you’ll be impressed.

Honestly… the memories I have at Pizzi’s make it a 5 star establishment. I can really remember if I liked the pizza or not but we always went there and bought 40’s to take to Ashbridge.

I have been stopping into Pizzi’s whenever I am in the area for work or pleasure for over 30 years since I went to Villanova. So why do I go back? It certainly isn’t for the ambiance of linoleum and formica booths, although the flat screens are a welcome change. Pizza steaks. There may be a better one somewhere else but you won’t convince me. Great size with a nice combination of zesty flavors between the sauce, meat, peppers and onions underneath the melted cheese. I have driven an hour out of my way(one way) to get my hands on one. That and a beverage and you have spent ~$ 10. Never disappointed. Can’t give it a 5 without wearing a straight jacket but a great ace up the sleeve when you need it.

This tasted like it came frozen from the supermarket. It was also a small slice.

It’s funny that the place kids used to go when I was in high-school to try and buy beer when they were 16, is now the source of my favorite Philadelphia staple: the cheesesteak. Pizzi’s cheese steaks are my favorite in all of Philadelphia, although I will admit to loving all of their deep-fried, unhealthy food. Their only down-fall is that language barrier can result in minor order miscommunications.

When I first moved to Bryn Mawr Pizzi’s was my go to pizza place. Pizza was decent but after eating my third terribly dry cheesesteak, it was time to take my business elsewhere. Good place for a cheap pizza but nothing to rave about.

Yes, I go here a lot just because my friend lives next door, but I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone besides a drunk college kid looking to either re up on alcohol or to just put food in the system. Come here at anytime if you want to find a bunch of alcoholics sitting with a 40 oz watching a tube. Though it is a good time having a laugh with these 45 year old men, I wouldn’t really suggest it as a reason to come here. Honestly, the pizza cheap and okay at best… I manage to napkin off all the grease each time. It seems like a family run business, so yes the workers are friendly.

The pizza was pretty bad, there are many better places within walking distance. Prices are too high for pizza of this low quality. Only redeeming feature is that you can buy beer there, which is pretty rare given that most restaurants in the area are BYO.

I’m pretty fussy about my pizza. Crust is good here(a little greasy, mm, and almost an unusual deep-dishy, nooks and crannies effect, though it’s a normal East-Coast-depth crust), sauce is excellent(a tad sweet, good spices), cheese is good and always cooked a nice golden brown. The H says their cheese steaks and hoagies are good too(he liked the ones from the now defunct Main Line Grill OK too but I was suspicious of them b/c whenever I called to order him a cheesesteak, they were like, What? Sauce? What kind of sauce?) The personal pizza plus a salad(either from them – the basic pizzeria salad of iceberg lettuce and some stray pale tomatoes, but the oregano-y oil and vin dressing is the way it should be from a pizza shop hole in the wall – or toss your own) is a good lunch, for a hungry one, or a medium-hungry two. There’s basic plastic-chairs-and-tables seating upstairs in the back, but most people take out. Except the guys drinking 40s up there – they stay in. They’re fine though.

Greasy, tasty Pizza. Cheesesteaks. I am happy to say that nothing has changed at Pizzi’s since I used to go there after high school basketball games 35 years ago.
