This review is for the coffee shop and gift shop not the museum. The selection of merchandise was really wide. We got some really yummy food items. My favorite is the caramel pecan apple butter. I also got a white mocha and it was great. It was the best coffee I had in town. The service was excellent and very friendly. I recommend to all!

We took a train tour and got to the station early enough to hit a few coffee shops(we love our coffee) and this place had the best coffee in Bryson City. They roast their own coffee in the store and the smell is wonderful. We don’t drink the latte’s or other flavored coffees; we drink our coffee plain and this hit the spot.

Dirty place. Fat guy behind the coffe counter was abhorently rude to my wife and children. Don’t go!!! It’s horribly cheesy anyway.

Good option for a traditional city coffee shop… when you want a chai latte or espresso. 2 large drinks for $ 8

This is a combination of three parts: souvenirs, museum, gift shop/coffee/candy store. The souvenir shop has a lot of clothes, toys, souvenir books, and other nice articles. There is a Lionel train toy store with a decent supply of items(they ran out of the Lionel starter set). The Lionel train museum has a nice exhibit. Many interactive exhibits for visitors. The coffee shop has a lot of nice decorative home items, snacks, coffee, hot chocolate, fudge and other confectionaries. There are even gourmet snacks for dogs! Nice store! No public restrooms.

Really neat shop loaded with North Carolina made goods, especially the woven and fabric goods. But the best part is walking in and inhaling the fresh roasted coffee smell from the coffee roaster. No, that’s not right, the best part is the taste of that fresh roast coffee. Try the«Midnight Oil Roast» Deep-Rich & Robust!!! Took home several pounds. The homemade fudge was good, too.

Sometimes you’re looking for a really good cup of coffee. Sometimes a cup from a gas station, a McDonalds or a local diner won’t do the trick. On a trip through Bryson City, we were on the prowl for good coffee. We saw this spot, which connects to the Lionel Toy Train Shop, hence the name. We walked through the doors and found a giant coffee roaster and thought, «hey, they’ve got a coffee roaster!» and decided to give them a try. There is a lot of merchandise in your way in this shop. There are aprons with sassy Southern sayings, there were purses, knick knacks, trout-shaped pillows and candles. Lots. Lots and lots. And the coffee is where? Once we found the coffee counter, we ordered a Breve Latte and a Regular Latte. Both were pretty tasty. We would have liked them a bit more robust, but they were much better than the wares of the drive thru or the $.99 cup of coffee from the convenience store. The baristas appeared to be a husband and wife couple, both of whom were very friendly. Nice service. Convenient location. Coffee seemed a little secondary to the merchandise.
